I'm just like you 😅 I love the planning of holidays as much as the actual holiday. Before a holiday is over the next one needs to be booked & organised. That way there's always something to look forward to.

My unsolicited travel advice: Less is more. No one remembers what you wore 2 days ago. I wash the top I wore that day in the shower, roll it up in a towel, hang and it is dry by morning. Add a pretty scarf to dress up a plain top. Most hotels I have seen in Europe either have an iron in the room or have one available at the front desk, so you might check and eliminate that extra bulk/weight. I’d always sacrifice extra clothes for more yarn room! Keep in mind that European airlines often have very strict and LIMITED weight limits for carry on bags. You might have to check your bags (at extra expense) if they are over the weight limit. Just check when you book your intra-Europe flights. The yarn shopping in Oslo is enough to make you think you are in Heaven! Lovely city and I’d go back in a heart beat. I made up my own yarn crawl there and visited 6 yarn shops (including Pickles) in one day! I love to hear of your adventures in travel! 🤗

I think the orange looks great on you! Your Tolsta is giving me Aperol Spritz, summer in Europe vibes.

You need to stop by Whatcom Falls in Bellingham. It’s my favorite little walk/hike. And if you can drive Chuckanut Drive back from Bellingham to Burlington and then get on the freeway to get back to Seattle, you won’t regret it.

Have a great vacation! I looked into having a color analysis done for my daughter and it is just way too expensive. I think most people are drawn to their good colors anyway.

Those vacuum or compression bags might help you squish more clothes into your luggage! Does your employer pay to check a bag? It might be worth it to pay for a second piece of checked luggage. You could also ship yarn purchases from Europe to your house (or your parents’ house). Probably expensive but cheaper than international shipping if your were buying yarn online from home. This way you can enjoy the experience of seeing and squeezing without putting real constraints on yourself. Have so much fun!!

I get two free checked bags, but I really don’t want to lug two suitcases around on my whole trip. 😅 I think I’m going to pack a collapsible duffel so I’ll be able to check that in my other suitcase on the way home.

Is anyone else from your office going with you to the conference? If so, maybe you can give them your professional clothes to bring back with them and free up some space in your suitcase...I hope you have a wonderful time in Mexico and that you feel less tired and you are recharged and ready to take on the world! "See" you when you get back!!

Personal color is soooo popular here in Korea but I refuse to pay for it so I just did an online "assessment." It's interesting to think about when shopping, but if I like something outside of my assigned palette that's okay too! My entire life doesn't need to be cool summer just because someone told me so haha

I totally agree! I was told pink isn’t my color but there’s no way you’re taking pink away from me.

I can’t wait to do a color analysis! I thought you were an autumn and you have been picking colors that really suit your complexion. Sometimes you just know what works! Enjoy your trips!

Hi Chelsea, I would still love to help you get around in Copenhagen if my work schedule fits your vacation plans. My son lives in Copenhagen so it would just be a nice occasion for me to visit him and meet up with you. Besides Knitting for Olive, there are other really nice yarn stores. So, think about what brands you would like to see, then it will be easier to plan which stores to visit. Just reach out😃It would be so much fun and amazing as to what this world wide knitting community can do. /Annette

When you said frequently that you didn't want to be an autumn when you had your color analysis done - I'm sorry, but I looked at you and said to myself "she looks like an autumn person to me". When I had my colors done, the consultant was determined that I was probably a winter, but I knew the colors I gravitated to and those were autumn colors. When she started putting the scarves on me, she realized the winter colors made my face look dreadful. It's interesting how it works.

It is remarkable how different your face looks with different colors, especially when you can see a cool or a warm tone back to back. I had never really thought that cool tones made me look tired until I saw them juxtaposed with warm colors.

Hi, have a wonderful holiday & recharge those batteries. If it’s not too much to ask could you please let me know the name of the cast on you used for your lime green purl soho beanie. I just can’t with Italian or tubular cast ons. I end up in such a mess thanks so much

That color matching company sounds horrible. I think you should complain and ask for a redo or a refund. That's not adequate customer service.

    • @sundayknittingsociety7245

I don’t think they had bad customer service. I just think my expectation wasn’t realistic.
