Theory that is probably not right: Clowny is a robot, just like Robby. The people who made Clowny decided to give him a hammer and function to make him attack someone with that in case of danger and not only to preform. If he is in attack mode, his eyes changes from normal human eyes to a green eye. When a monster came to the carnival, they told him to attack the monster but there was an issue in the programming system and he just stated attacking everyone. I think he’s sorta like Robby, a robot to “protect”

By the way, Clowny is 100% not Pony because Pony wear’s glasses, meaning that he can’t see that good, so that means Clowny is not Pony because If pony had no glasses, he would have trouble even roaming around the map, or trying to chase you.
