    Amazing innovation of mechanical chronograph! This is what I have been hoping to see for past years, instead of regular dial design changes and material changes. This is really what horology is all about. Great video! Thanks.

    Thank you. By far the best channel on TH-cam about watches, horology and what's happening in the watch industry. I fear the cost of this movement is going to mean it's for the more expensive market. Maybe, if it catches on, and gets mass produced, it might make its way to the mid-market range of chronographs. Time will tell.

    • @watchestv-com
      @watchestv-com  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right on that assessment, but time will indeed tell, for now it will remain produced in small quantities.

  • @haelscheirs_haven
    @haelscheirs_haven 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    A touch off topic, but I'd have to say that the thumbnail really caught my complication senses. Let's say I've been looking for a good horological CAD software having first desired Autodesk Inventor as a student. I initially doubted its capabilities compared to SolidWorks or a more specialized software, but if they could design this with Inventor, I have myself a winner.
    It's certainly quite fascinating seeing these new and innovative solutions coalesce into a beautiful mechanical symphony. I delayed my CAD decision and design work so I could focus on tooling up for my "wooden horology" project, but something as simple as a screenshot with the distinct Autodesk interface has inspired me to get started.
    This channel never ceases to provide me with horological delight.

    Great video as usual and fascinating topic of a radically new movementI must be honest though I had difficulty understanding itReminded me of a graduate level physiology class where the professor wrote a blackboard full of equations and at the end he said the only person who fully understood this was the fella that wrote the rtext book.I dont think this was that hard,but I will need to rewatch the. video a few times.Thanks again

    This is truly amazing! Great to see a company like this stepping out of the "shadow". I especially like that brands are no longer reluctant to admit which company their movements were developed by, but instead put those people in the focus and use it to their advantage instead of trying to hide this.

    Fantastic! In your previous video, when I saw the space in the middle and that nothing was missing from a traditional 3 hands movement, I thought it was going to be some kind of romantic/poetic complication, an automata maybe... Never expected to see a new chrono architecture, really cool. I can't wait to see the watches!

    I'd never considered a chrono watch and now I have an Omega Triple Date from 2002 love that little watch it has day, date, month functions and the standard three subdials of a chronograph and it's waterproof to one hundred meters. I also have a 2010 G series black dial steel Daytona. The Daytona is my favorite watch.

    The Lemania 5100 movement had the chrono minute hand on the central arbor already. The chrono hour hand was on a subdial. The watch still displayed the current time while the chrono was running. If I understand this movement correctly, the watch doesn't show the time anymore, when the chronograph is being used. That would be a shame, if true.

  • @jimevans1809
    @jimevans1809 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not sure I'd call this a game changer. It's a neat trick. Absolutely brilliant craftsmanship, however. I am wondering about the longevity and servicing of the toothless wheels.future complication?

  • @karlmansson8319
    @karlmansson8319 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ingenious! Are the hands showing time when the chronograph is not running or is the time shown elsewhere on the dial? Or maybe it is more of a stopwatch mechanism?

    Incroyable, j'adore !!!
    Par contre deux barillets pour 60h de rdm, ça fait un mouvement assez gourmand non? A cause des frottements de l'embrayage horizontal justement?
    Merci pour cette super vidéo encore une fois et félicitations à toute l'équipe d'Agenhor !!

    • @vivinopoulos
      @vivinopoulos 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On dirait oui, mais en général les complications ça mange un peu quand même. Et puis je pense que les barillets sont peut être moins performants étant donné qu'ils se retrouvevent sur le coté pour laisser le milieu libre pour le module chronographe. Enfin c'est juste une hypothèse hein :)

    • @jean-marcwiederrecht3532
      @jean-marcwiederrecht3532 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Arnaud A Bonne remarque! Mais en fait les barillets sont relativement petits car le trou central prend un peu de place! En plus il s'agit d'une garantie de rdm avec le chrono enclenché, en marche normale la rdm est supérieure à 68h

    • @jean-marcwiederrecht3532
      @jean-marcwiederrecht3532 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3
