You can use the settings button on TH-cam to slow the video down during the maneuvers. It may prove helpful. 3:23 start for the reverse maneuver. The stopping time is actually the same for Analog and Throttle Down but newer pilots will probably find it easier to use Analog to do the maneuvers.
Thank you so much for this video, it is exactly what i have been looking for and it will be my go to for when i am learning to fly in VR. Very informative and the key click screen you have at the bottom right of your screen is great!
Very nice Tutorial / Video :) Good explained all the stuff and Iam a experienced pilot (over 13days playtime and flying over year with ESFs , espicially Reaver) and I was really enjoying the video and I also learned new reverse manuever on skythe:D
Thanks man, this was a tough video for me to make with quite a few editing problems and login server issues along the way. Means a lot that it is well received.
Felt very discouraging to watch, seeing how you move and how i can't do half of these even semi-correctly. Played a mosquito for days in VR and i still can't do jack shit except the reverse manoeuver and some very basic run around a target while shooting practice (and even then, in a very slow speed). I just crash to mountains when i try anything a bit more complex than that.
Your description between analog throttle and the throttle down key is inaccurate. They slow the aircraft and have the exact same effect on the ESF. Throttle analog acts as if you are simply always holding throttle down. It is cancelled by holding your throttle up or down keys. Very important to remember this. In the end you should have both keys available to you.
I definitely wouldn't say same effect as one is better than the other for the reverse maneuver which is why I use it in this video and in general game play. It locks the thrust in the hover position. I do however have the Throttle down key mapped to use in certain circumstances. I get what you mean though with stopping time being the same. This site is helpful and is accurate. learn2flyesf.wordpress.com/2013/06/15/on-using-the-throttle-analog-key-for-reverse-thrusting/

DRAX GAMING Can you teach me how to find a fight where I won't get instantly killed by other esf and lock-ons? It just happens everytime...
DRAX GAMING can you use joysticks in this game?

Happy to help!
I don't see how he keeps his reticle on the target and moves 360 around it... I use the throttle thing and it still seems impossible.
Yep great video. Especially with the keyboard. Exactly what I was looking for!! :D

Its hard for me to hit enemy esfs that are flying
*Can you do this in a Tra'er. "Ohh arrrr"* :)
thanks been looking for an up to date flying guide ;)
What about the m18 is it good for air to air?
The Needler? Most pilots prefer it to anything else.
how do you have so meny certs in this video did you really save al that up just playing planetside online?
Most of this footage is taken from the test server where you have 100,000 certs to start with.
Ah that’s a lot more disappointing haha
Ye you may used to get 100,000 certs now stuff is just free
great guide.
hope to see some mosquito gameplay though, that would be lit
Some Scythe Gameplay in my latest VS vid. Will get back to flying soon. just been trying to Aurax the medic for a couple of weeks.

how tf can u get so many certs?
I have been playing PlanetSide 2 for over 2 years and bought most of the stuff I wanted already so the certs just build up over time now.
