Even tho they were destined to failed, these sets still allowed us to have some of the best pieces for mocs and that's all that matters
I've been trying to collect the Chi Constraction sets lately... I want to make more complex remakes of them in the future! Also, for those interested in Chima, give 'The Forgotten Legends of Chima' a quick read :) You won't regret it!
Honestly, as a kid I thought the ultra builds were super cool!
I can kinda understand why people don't like them but I still love them
Also the Chima Ultra build sets are actually canon in the lore of Chima. I remember for a fact that in the story, the characters have a life force called Chi (that's where the name Chima comes from), and they have some crystals with energy flowing around it. When they place them on a socket in their chest armor or other clothing they wear on their chest (necklaces for instance), they become stronger. And when they put on the Chi crystal, they have this energy spirit of themselves show out of their bodies that is supposed to be these larger constraction figures.
Super neat way of blending system pieces and ccbs in one theme.
CHI Worriz was one of the first ccbs sets I ever got and he is honestly my favorite of his wave. I think he has the most balanced aesthetic and parts selection.
I also got CHI Cragger back then, and recently used parts from both of them to build a beast moc that is between a wolf and a lizard. It's simple but I really like it, and might easily be my self moc.
I remember switching this guy's head for some other one and having him be Shockwave when I was little. now that's creativity lmao
That borhok looks great with the 4 armed design. But The tubing used for the bigger arms is even cooler.
Lego Chima is truly amazing indeed

I didn't think much of the Chima ultrabuilds when they came out. I got Razar for funsies but nothing much interested me. Then wave 2 got announced and I wanted Panthar! Except they didn't come out in the US.
I've been parting it out for the past couple of months. It's been an expensive venture but I'm like 5 parts away.
My first thing to do was to revamp the Chi sets the second I got my hands on them. Bulked up Worriz, gave him a cape and his Fang dagger.

Ultrabuild Chima > Hero Factory
This was my first set that made me fall in love with the ccbs system so happy to see it appreciated as well
I think with 2 of His Heads it would even look great as Shoulder pieces of a Wolf Knight Moc like Koragg the Wolf Knight has from PowerRangers
Hey Mr. Ben .I love Chima .I wish we would have gotten the second wave . M last parts order ,I did get some Chima parts .Got about 7 mocs out of it . The funniest one was putting a Cragger head on a Darth Vader body I got a Dader Gator . I thought it was funny .Have you ever used Marvel Mech's to build smaller Bionicle mocs .They seem to work good .If you get the ones that twist at the waist ,I think it works better .Take care the old guy (64 ) .
