Like your video's, you're not critical about each machine, I wanted to buy a Lelit Elizabeth dual boil (Breville DB to wide for my countertop) and Lelit's were on sale but of course no Elizabeth machine availabe anywhere in U.S. so I bought a Mara X fits very well on countertop but I was sweating bullets if I would like a HX machine, so fare I've been really enjoy making Latte's with the Mara, my first E61 and for me the machine seem like you are more involed when making coffee, lever vs buttons on my previous machine (Barville Barista Pro) and the Mara can be a steaming beast plus everthing just seems so premium on th Mara X and I match it with a Eureka Mignon grinder:) have a happy coffee day
Hi Kev - I have had one of these for a few months now, and the wife acceptance factor cannot be understated! The only downside to the machine running it for a while is the steam tip which requires much concentration to get micro foam. Mines plumbed in at 122degrees and needs a little flush under low pressure to get the temp down. Next will be a PID for the group head I think
Kev, Kev, Kev, the price is quite good, and it is a looker with a good feature set, my gripe is I hate E61 groups, they are yesterdays technology, they take at least 14 hours to heat up, temp stability is not great but okay with a PID and need a lot of maintenance to keep working well. The scheduling in the app at least you can get the machine warmed up for your morning cuppa. But machines like Lelit's Elizabeth and La Marzocco's have more modern group heads, they're also dual boilers. So you can spend a grand less and snap up an Eleizabeth or maybe spend a little more on a La Marzocco Linea Mini or Micra, much better non E61 group so already a winner in my book.
Haha, 14 hours 🤣🤣, an ever so slight exaggeration 😆. But yeah, that's the thing, there's something for everyone, if you're not a fan of traditional E61, there are lots of other choices.
there's a reason they are still being put on machines, yesterday's technology or not. Any kitchen that has one has the ability to make incredible coffee, no two way's about it
Agreed. If the app controlled flow control or pressure, then it might be worth it, but just to change temp, no thanks. The machine does look fantastic, IMHO.
Having used this machine for about 6 months. Really, I don’t use the app once I have the timer all setup. (Mines not connected to wi fi though ). I doubt there is much cost in the wifi chip and app - it’s pretty simple
Just cannot understand how any designer of this machine thought is was a good idea to obscure view to the shot timer by the E61 lever in the up position, just stupid!
Okay, let me be one of those whingers who complain about the price. It's similar in spec to my Mozzafiato, after I added a smart plug. Except it's £800 more expensive.😮
haha, there's always one eh 😆. There's so much choice, some seem like better deals than others. I think some of it down to whether the brand is gunning for market share or not. Sanremo are mainly a commercial manufacturer, I get the impression they're making a couple of home focussed machines, but they're not aggressively gunning for market share, they're basically saying "we built this, we think it's mega, if you want it, buy it." Some of the other brands I think are competing harder to gain a bigger market share, and I think we're going to see more of this in the near future, which is only a good thing for us.
Good vid Kev. Top work... 👍
Ta 🙂

Sounds great :-)

Hi Kev - Great video and explanation. Your opinion on Profitec Move vs Sanremo Cube? Thanks
When are they bringing out the Sanremo dodecahedron?
soon 😆
Will you be reviewing the Lelit Elizabeth? It's a bit old, but I'm looking at it as a potential next purchase.
Is it possible to heat up the brew group faster if you use the steam booster at the beginning?
so much depth.
And if I was rich I’d not give a toss how much it cost either. I will stick to SAGE but thanks for the review. Looks stunning.
It appears to be priced correctly with the features it has.
I concur 😎

But seriously, the handle in front of the shot timer?? Was the designer forgetting people actually use that lever?
That's mainly the camera angle, you can see the shot timer fine when you're stood at the machine.
Perhaps but you can see the lever clearly in ftront of the display. I still find the choice of moving the handle up peculiar.
Nice design , but overpriced .
Sorry, besides the price there is that issue of an app, I honestly cannot imagine the need for an app nor the cost add because of it
Agreed. If the app controlled flow control or pressure, then it might be worth it, but just to change temp, no thanks. The machine does look fantastic, IMHO.
You're not forced to use the app ;-), and I don't think the cost is due to the app. It's mainly the premium components and build quality.

....Drool!!! (At the Sanremo not you Kev, sorry).....
Haha 😆, yeah very good looking machine!

@@Coffee_Kev I guess they are aiming for a niche audience (pardon the grinder pun).
You look like Napom.
Your face is not stupid
Haha, very kind of you thanks 😆
One of the most useless and pricey machine I've ever seen.
But nice to have....
when bambino vs bambino plsu!
plus!

it IS overpriced.
