Hey everybody! So I had this crazy idea yesterday that maybe I could cut up the album audio from Mac Park with my editing software, remove some of MF's soloing and or EQ the high frequencies way down in volume during his solos to make a fun backing track to play along with:) Also thought it would be fun to make it a mashup with the live performance footage in order to get the full experience. So... please enjoy playing along with Maynard, or at least have some fun attempting to play along with Maynard!
I had a Music Minus Maybard tape back in the day for the Body and Soul album. Espresso, maybe? All of the solo stuff missing and a book to play along with. Anyway, it was fun not being able to play a lot if it, but it was great!
Played this song over and over to "learn" how to play higher back in high school, almost wore out the cassette and 30+ years later I still try to keep up with THE MAN on this classic :)
that's too awesome rocketboy! You, and I wonder how many other kids wore out the cassette over the years on this one, he's a tough man to keep up with! I wore out my "Master Of The Stratosphere" CD in high school on this tune. Good times!
That was a great band, tight sections. Maynard really did have a romanticism up there on this chart, and Lynn did a phenomenal job following that style! That's a mark of a great band leader and a great lead player!
totally agreed! especially in the romanticism of MF's playing. He sounds like he's singing up there... you know what's funny? the AI program I used to help separate tracks actually put all of MF's really high stuff (high G and above) into a separate track labeled "Vocals." In short, even modern AI thought that MF was singing!

You can use AI to get this done
@@emmang2010 That's how I did this audio- AI through a program called Moises, but do you know a better AI program or site to make it even easier?
Another subscriber, I could make more videos like this, thanks🇧🇷
