Hi sir I'm 2 weeks old into software testing self study. 2 weeks ago I stumbled on this video so I watched it for like 10 minutes to know what the questions look like. I didn't understand it and didn't know if the lady on the video was good or not. After just 2 weeks of self study I came back here today and watched the full video. I understood 80% of the questions and I will say now that the lady is very good and knowledgeable You're doing a great job sir

Wow, I am working as a Test Engineer in Hyderabad in a gaming company. Even I don't know that much theoretical knowledge and types of testings. @@swatisingh-yw1fw There's no pre-requisite requirement a company wants to have in a candidate to become a part of a gaming company. They only expect that a candidate should have great attention-to-detail capability so that they can find issues in the game.. and over a course of time build interest in the gaming field while working. Along with this, knowledge of testing is required to follow the testing procedure that company uses. Being a 5+ yr exp holder in game testing field I can say this is one of the interesting field to work on. All the best :)

Severity is a parameter to denote the impact of a particular defect on the software.
Priority is a parameter to decide the order in which defects should be fixed.
Severity tells how much defect is impacted by customer business
Serverity is that , impact on client business. Priority is that ,impact on functionality of software

@@sumityadav-kg2kc I was not able to switch jobs. I didn't know where I was lacking and why I used to fail in interviews. According to me I used to answer the questions correctly but I was unable to impress the interviewers. The companies where I managed to crack interviews were not willing to pay me more than what I was already earning. All this led me to quit IT.

@@explore_with_sagan9596 I moved to Govt sector but still I feel that if I had such privilege back then I would have stayed in IT sector. I stay very far away from my home with no scope of transfer to my hometown or any nearby area. I miss my family. I used to stay at my home while I was in IT and it was good. Salary in govt is very less compared to IT.

Pesticide paradox in simple terms
If A farmer uses the same pesticide on the same field over and over again. The soil will get used to it and will not stop the crops being attacked by pests.
So the farmer has to change the pesticides Once the older pesticide is not effective.
Same principle on software testing, when the same test cases are used over and over, you will not find new bugs. So we need to update the test cases.
Pesticide - a substance that kills bugs
Paradox - contradiction
Little correction....When we use same pesticide again and again, pests(bacteria,insect) will develop resistance against it hence they will not be killed
