John Barse I agree! I’ve seen so many bands and some 3-4-5 times like the Outlaws and Molly Hatchet, Iron Maiden, Megadeth but getting to see Stranger band was right up there with the best! Plus they treated their fans as special as we felt about them! The only scrubs that left disappointed were chumps cause every single time I saw them I was on a natural high for weeks! I’ve only seen them about 20 times but every time was was like seeing a $50 or up type concert for a small 2-5 cover and drinks! Hell yeah to see Ronnie play his heart out was the best! I’d pay 1000 bucks to see Stranger with the original lineup in a heartbeat! Miss them big time 🇺🇸

I’m a Florida boy from way back! All I know is every single time Stranger came to the Other Place or OP in Ormond Florida I went and saw them! They reminded me of Stevie Ray Vaughn meets Van Halen! Just simply put a killer rock band that should have made the big time! I got to see them open for 5-6 big acts plus the 2 dozen times or more in Ormond! I liked them better than most bigger names cause they knew how to get a crowd going!! I think bad luck and cocaine and stupid labels sucked them dry! What a shame cause there wasn’t a weak link in that band!

I just watched this again, for the first time in a while, and it brought back memories of another great Stranger show I was at. Did anyone else here see them open the Billy Squier show at the Tampa Sundome? It was Stranger, then L.A. Guns, then Kings X, then Billy Squier. They boys only got to play 4 songs, but WHAT A NIGHT!
Then there was the Busch Gardens show, when they opened for (and completely blew away) The Bulletboys. Lots of great Stranger memories! No cell phone cameras back then. LOL

They played many times in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale...makes me smile, fun times. Today's top 40 is suggestive, to say the least but it isn't like this. The difference was, these guys were cool as hell and had a groove that is clearly missing today and EVERYBODY loved them. There's a couple bands out there today doing their thing - they're very good; but these guys and their music were like a key lime pie back then, sweet with a good bite. Never forgotten. Always had a great time. I didn't really know the guys but I'm aware that not all are with us anymore. I was sad to hear that. I'm so glad this was caught on video. ✌

The record company gave them a substantial advance on their first album for them, and the guys got a little carried away and blew the money on things that they shouldn't have, and the label dropped them. saw these guys in Augusta,GA in about 1984(?). They had complete sound-system failure in the middle of 'Comin' to Get You'. Sound man runs around, grabbin' wires, turning knobs, etc. and this is a testament to how tight they were as a band.... They kept playing as though nothing happened despite not being able to hear each other, and about 2 seconds before Ronnie Garvin's solo, sound comes back on and *boom*, they all hit their marks right in time. Stranger was bad ass - no doubt.

The OP and PJ's, Daytona beach ! The doorman at The OP said, your gonna like it tonight ! I walked in, 30 girls on the dance floor, Stranger rockin on stage ! Not another man in the house, other than bartenders ! I went back to the doorman and said , Lock the doors ! I'm diving in ! Lol. Priceless memories 👍. I moved here in 84 wanting to get into a good rock band, Daytona pushed the rock clubs out !

Saw them at PJs summer of '88 I recall. Wed spend 2 weeks in July (coming down from Toronto) having the time of our lives in Daytona. I felt more at home there such great local people. Miss those summers we spent there '87, '88, '89 just a kid then.

Saw them in Atlanta at a cool little club called Rumors (don't look for it now). The place held about 300 people. The album had just came out - they played record all the way thru - took a break, came back out & ran it thru again. My buddy Wayne bought the album from their merch stand. Killer show! Sorry to hear what happened to Ronnie....RIP

Okay - I saw them open for UFO in Los Angles around 1984. I haven't heard this song again until right now. They must have done something right because 40 years later, after only seeing them once, I remember this tune and the show.
    Peace. Out.

I think I saw that same show in Augusta with the sound outage, I been wracking my brain trying to recall the club. I remember cheap drinks for ladies and these guys rocking the house with Swamp Woman! The bass literally rattled our drinks off the table, these guys were awesome, I bought the album from them after the show, I loved their music. I Just linked this to my FB for some of my old Army buddies to enjoy, we partied hard in Augusta!
