  • On 18-20 March 2024 small Amman, Ganesha and Muruga temples were inaugurated in Cuddalore in a traditional ceremony. These temples were built thanks to Swamiji.
A little about each of the temples:
The Ganesh temple: Long ago there was a Bodhi tree on this place, under which a sadhu lived. This sadhu used to worship a small statue of Lord Ganesha. After the sadhu’s samadhi, the village installed a Ganesha statue on this place, covered by a simple shed. Swamiji decided to install a proper Ganesha temple on this holy place.
The Muruga temple: Around 100 years ago, Swami Laadamuthu lived in this place. He was a Muruga devotee who was known for curing people of all kinds of serious diseases by simply giving them some prasadam blessed by him. After his samadhi he was buried here by his relatives and devotees, a simple vel was placed on his samadhi, and a shed was erected over that. Swamiji told us that Swami Laadamuthu was a true and very highly developed saint and so he built a proper Muruga temple over the saint’s samadhi.
The Amman temple: At this site was a simple village temple - a statue of the Divine Mother covered by a palm leaf roof. Even though it was a very simple construction, the villagers worshipped the Divine Mother here every day. Swamiji promised that he would construct a proper Amman temple here, which is now the case.
    Jai Prema Shanti!
