    I believe that there are underground walkways connecting all the buildings. But not open to the public.

    Did you know there in a grand concourse under the egg? With shops, art etc. Not sure if you toured it while you were here

      It is open to the public. I saw a comment that said they didn't believe it was. I live here and it is. You can enter the egg from the concourse below if you ever wanted to see a show inside the egg.

    Definitely come back when the pandemic's over and you can tour the Capitol building and the State Museum.
    The Empire State Plaza is built on top of a humongous multi-level parking facility for the state workers and the legislative staff, and the two massive hole you were asking about are ventilation for those parking levels.

    I don’t wanna hear you guys complain about walking up the hill of state st. Lol. In my 20’s, a friend and I were rollerblading up that hill…and that’s a workout lol

      Thats awesome! We could never haha, where we live everything is flat so we're not used to those hills
