A little vid we decided to put together and share before our normal Sunday-Funday vid. I'm smack-dab in the middle of working on the next vid and realized this one is worth sharing separately. Hope you enjoy, we had loads of fun putting it together...and WATCH OUT for that furry sea moster that wrecks the set!
would actually be nice to see these for those of us beginner/novice sailors who could use the edjumecation on topics. Kinda like what ruby rose and a few other channels do. Besides I need my Nikki fix more than 4 times a month.
furry one wrecking set was my FAV part lol - Loved the video - production values were phenomenal!! the crew & views were nice too - j/k they were magnificent!
take your time. You know what they say about absence? I've been looking forward to your videos for years and will continue, but you're in paradise ENJOY
Yeah I love maps as well with any story being told. They really bring important context so I can understand the whole picture of where we're talking about.
I have to give both of you a huge congrats. I remember from the beginning that a few people said you could not sail on your own, now look at you, you’ve sailed alone across the pacific and handled every hurdle while teaching us. Big big hugs 🤗 and a huge thank you for sharing every detail.
I love your videos so much! The heart and soul you put into making them is apparent in the beautiful journey we are on with you. I cannot wait to see what the French Polynesian Islands have in store....hugs and kisses from Houston, TX. Safe travels.
I watch several different couples working, planning and moving closer to their sailing dreams. without a doubt you two are a class act. The scenery is breathtaking and I like the way you meld everything together. The work pays off when you do the work. I hope you are enjoying your time there. Best.
It’s crazy, every episode with you guys it seem is a teachable moment, all the way down to the minute choices, your nicely flavored beer or the expensive video equipment, excellent post looking forward to next time, as always stay safe.
Wow... MAJOR upgrade in production value on this video. Now I see what all that spare time was going into during your crossing. I'd really love to see a behind the scenes production video, soon. Not so much the photo gear, because you've covered that a lot, but more the computer and software stuff.... Applications, tips, tricks, etc. I'd love to see more of the off-script stuff!
Well, this is the end of my binge watch from the beginning, as the next video is already one I watched. The beginning was cringy AF. Those kind of short documentaries on the national parks and what not are funny and if you haven't rewatched them I highly recommend you rewatch them. You'll have a good laugh guaranteed. It's amazing to see their (or your) journey and the evolvement they gone through. Their relationship is so inspiring. They complete each other so well. Seeing Jason opens the door for Nikki everytime after so long being married. Seeing how they push each other and allow each other to grow is amazing, you don't see these nowadays. And Nikki, oh my word what an incredible woman. Beautiful, funny, strong, so inspiring. She (or you - in case you are reading this) should be playing the next wonder woman. Always hands on and doing everything from cleaning to cooking incredible food to the sailing itself. The way she threats Jason and lets him feel the man at every opportunity. So different, so unique. Saddest moment was when they let the RV go. But I knew it for a good reason. In case you read this comment, all I can say is a giant big thank you for letting everyone into your life, to enjoy what you do and who you are. You are amazing and stay the way you are.
Like the new intro. Really fits your personalities. Great work!!! Enjoy the sunshine!! This is the first weekend in a while that we have had sunshine and no rain here in DFW.
Woo hoo, Friday night bonus video! Drop the anchor and pull in the the line by Sunday morning I’ll be doing mighty fine! Enjoy Jason and Nikki, such beautiful scenery, such a beautiful life, may your sails always have wind and your horizons be open!
Hi guys i had the same problem 4 days ago with my stern anchor and also got myself and our dingy covered in stinky black mud but i wouldn't change being out there sailing ! ,love your posts keep up the good work cheers Andy
Have you tried a swell bridle? I went through the comments but there are so many so I'm not sure if it has been recommended before. Google it, but basically it is a way of attaching an anchor hook and bridle to your chain to turn the boat, using just your one bow anchor, into the swell so a rolly anchorage becomes much more comfortable. Long and short of it.. on our boat we have a bridle with two 40' lines and a chain claw. Once anchored normally we attach the claw to the chain and let out 20-30' of chain and one side of the bridle. We then cleat this side off. You then take the other side of the bridle and bring it to midships or the stern, and then pull on it to pivot the boat to face the swells or into whatever position is most comfortable. You then cleat this off. It will keep you comfortable with a single anchor out. You can do it with a single line and a rolling hitch on your chain, but I don't like the angle it exits the bow roller at and the chain run on the roller. Using a two line bridle negates that. Anyway.. you might want to try it instead of a stern anchor when possible.
What an awesome surprise! Like bumping into great friends at the supermarket unexpectedly! Loved the fresh new intro and demo segment which was enhanced with the cameos of Cleo & Singa. Thanks for such a wonderful Friday gift!
Love the intro! You two are such professionals in the You Tube world. I will never take up sailing but I sure get a taste of it through your videos. Thanks for sharing!
Anchor Retrieval Tip: Use physics! ● Shackle/ring big enough to slip down your rode to the anchor ● 1+ big fenders or floats. Those 24" round fenders are great. ~260 lb (118 kg) lifting force each. Four of them is about 0.5 ton of lifting force once submerged! ● Line at least as long as your anchorage is deep Place ring/shackle around your rode. Attach fender(s) closely to the ring. Attach your line to this assembly. Haul away. The ring should slide down the rode, first lifting the rode, but then once the fender(s) start to submerge, they really haul up on that anchor. It can be preferable to use a floating line and/or stream it off the bow of your dinghy if using an outboard. A fouled line in the prop makes for a worse day. Since you have dive gear, you could also throw some lift bags in your kit I suppose.
There is a way of running a line from your anchor chain about two meters down; to one of your winches at the stern. You then pull the boat round like a pivot action and bring the boat facing the swell and cutting down on rolling. I've seen it demonstrated on TH-cam but can't find the link now.
you need what we call a bobajaan in SA you connect a round ball float to your anchor line with a loose running shackle you then drive side on to the anchor which drives the float down onto the anchor and it then lifts the anchor up and you bring the line in saves breaking your tender
LOVE the new intro! All the graphics are fantastic, and being a graphic designer, I definitely am impressed...but damnit, Singa! Haha! Cute, crazy kitty. 😸
I'm so happy for you two you've already accomplished everything I wanted to do as a younger man. But it wasn't in the stars for me, I'm now 56 and living with a spinal chord injury. I look forward to your posts. Anyways I wanted to tell you about a group of cat owners that get together, they call it I believe Hui whappen. Spelling may be wrong. It means a gathering of two canoes and is an old saying from I believe the Mauri culture. Cats of all sizes and from around the world meet up. Enjoy your stay.👍
Stern anchor retrieval suggestion... If possible, release enough bow anchor rode to reach the stern anchor from Curiosity, rather than by dinghy. Those swells would easily yank the stern anchor free via a near-zero scope, tied to the stern of Curiosity. Let the boat do all the work. Always enjoy your videos. Love how well suited you two are together. :-)
Really like the new format guys! It must be a lot of work, but it looks great! The animation was especially cool - the diagram made it easy to understand what was going on. It’s almost time for me to have a sundowner - here’s cheers!
Thanks for showing us "non-boat-owners" out here abut the trials and tribulations you guys go through.... Man! You guys are really smart about your craft! ... I was taught young about boats and what "BOAT" stands for..... "Bust Out Another Thousand" I guess that's why I don't own one. :-)
I loved the stop animation, love the educational aspect/documentary style when employed, & all around adventure aspect of your channel. I’ve said it before, I’d like to see your channel actually either produce television show length or even documentary movies all together. There’s no reason you couldn’t re-use footage from your travels already and produce full length documentaries that would be incredibly educational. Going forward you could shoot some specific footage knowing this was an additional project you’re going to work on. Face it, you’re both amazing story tellers. I’m thinking Netflix for distribution. Too many people will never get to where you’re going but dearly want to “visit” them and learn about them.
Thanks for the kind words. We struggle every week to do it all with just the two of us. Maybe one day when we get our heads above water we’ll be able to spend the time to produce a feature length ‘something’.
Gone with the Wynns Yes, I completely understand. Dick Wolf is incredibly wealthy because he’s able to “Executive Produce” & delegate his “vision” to others. I truly appreciate your ability to edit, however it is incredibly time consuming. From a purely production aspect I guess I see my vision for you as handing off the production of these “extras” to another entity/person creating your vision with your footage & your voices. These can be sent digitally, voiceovers and video, to whomever is working on it for you. I’m thinking this person/entity gets credit for their work and an agreed upon percentage of the profits upon release etc. GWTW’s retains full creative control, copyright, & all else. Frees you all up to do more of the creative aspect, cinematography, & in the long run, more content. Let’s face it, rendering video is excruciatingly time-consuming. Your vision, your visuals, & your content is what keeps us all coming back. Even for your regular content the editing could be handled this way as well except on a fee schedule, one time job etc. Anyone that follows your channel realizes that you’re not about independent wealth etc. We get that in order for you to create the content it requires $ and often a significant amount of it. I feel like the value of people around the world being able to learn about these amazing places that we’ll never realistically be able to travel to would be amazing. For your effort you should receive financial gain. There comes a point when you have to realize that if you want to grow bigger as a business you’re not going to be able to continue to do everything on your own any longer. There’s only so much time in a day. We know that you’re capable, willing, & able to. The ? becomes is it the best use of your time? I love you both. I love your channel. I love your caring personalities. I’m ok with whatever your choices are. (Not that it even matters) 😂 It is your life to live. I just want you both to know that your talent is seen. Love y’all!
Hi guys. Loving your stories. Beautifully shot and edited. I can see all the hard work you put into them. I enjoyed the technical detail about anchoring a lot. So it’s was a good mix of pretty pics and some technical detail. Awesome!!!
The new title sequence is really good and naming the vessels as characters is special. And the kiss scene is such a relief after the last episode, so yes we need to see that all the time from now on!
The new intro is very very nice. And I think important as your videos get shared around. Very professionally done. I esp. liked the Cleo graphic on stern anchor!!! Nice work - but then I've come to expect that from you. I aspire to develop my video skills to just "half" of what you guys do :)
A little vid we decided to put together and share before our normal Sunday-Funday vid.

As cat owners, we particularly loved the furry sea monster. I also loved the very fast underwater shots. Can't wait to see more.
Whew I was getting nervous. Lol
I love the new intro! Especially the map showing where you were at at the time.
Thanks! so happy you liked it.
I love your production quality. If I didn't know better I could almost swear you had a full production team. I always look forward to your next video.
I liked the cat attack destruction... nice.
Yeah I love maps as well with any story being told. They really bring important context so I can understand the whole picture of where we're talking about.
Literally ... but look at this view. Turning from "frustration" to the positive in less than a second. What I love about this channel.
I have to give both of you a huge congrats. I remember from the beginning that a few people said you could not sail on your own, now look at you, you’ve sailed alone across the pacific and handled every hurdle while teaching us. Big big hugs 🤗 and a huge thank you for sharing every detail.

Hugs and kisses right back atchya from FP :)
I watch several different couples working, planning and moving closer to their sailing dreams. without a doubt you two are a class act. The scenery is breathtaking and I like the way you meld everything together. The work pays off when you do the work. I hope you are enjoying your time there. Best.
You guys are the kings of production, The music, the edit. Wonderful!
...blushing :)
It’s crazy, every episode with you guys it seem is a teachable moment, all the way down to the minute choices, your nicely flavored beer or the expensive video equipment, excellent post looking forward to next time, as always stay safe.

Wow surprise Friday video. Love the new start and that no kitties were harmed lol. Great short cute video. See ya on Sunday!
See ya Sunday :)
This one of your best short videos you have made since the RV days. Excellent. BT
I love the new intro. I had to re-wind multiple times to show my 7 year old the stingrays. So cool. Beautiful place.
That is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I can't wait for y'all's shore adventures!
Lots of new stuff! New intro, the map, the kitties lounging, the beauty of FP! What's not to love!
Well, this is the end of my binge watch from the beginning, as the next video is already one I watched.

Beautiful area. You are beautiful people. I loved the graphic with your kitty.
That's the furry sea-moster...not our cat :)
Lots of challenges for sure. You always meet the task at hand. Best to you.
Have you tried a bridle instead of a stern anchor (for short stays)? Line from bow anchor chain to winch aft and move boat around relative to chain.
Wow, love the new intro and all the stop animation! Taking up your production value even higher!
Love the vignette !! I mean, it's a Wynns production. 😊👍👌👊⛵️⚓️
Had to pause the video because so impressed with the animation. Want all tutorials like this.
Fun video and tips on stern anchoring woes. Keep up the area maps. Love to see exactly where you are.
Look at those opening titles. It's like we are entering a whole new season of the show. Looks so good.
Like the new intro. Really fits your personalities. Great work!!! Enjoy the sunshine!! This is the first weekend in a while that we have had sunshine and no rain here in DFW.
Great new intro. Love when the cats get involved in an episode!
Great new introduction. Fantastic scenery. Wonderful life/adventure you are having.... and thanks for bringing us along.
Woo hoo, Friday night bonus video! Drop the anchor and pull in the the line by Sunday morning I’ll be doing mighty fine! Enjoy Jason and Nikki, such beautiful scenery, such a beautiful life, may your sails always have wind and your horizons be open!
Wow - love the new intro. Your already good visuals appear even more stepped up! Congrats!
Hi guys i had the same problem 4 days ago with my stern anchor and also got myself and our dingy covered in stinky black mud but i wouldn't change being out there sailing ! ,love your posts keep up the good work cheers Andy
Yep, it’s all part of the life :)
thanks for explaining and the diagram...beautiful mountain range
We love your new intro and outro! Can't wait to see if it's part of this Sunday's / all future videos. Thanks for the "bonus" video!
Awesome. TY for the surprised video. To help with the stern anchor you might want to try a (Anchor Ring and Anchor Puller with Buoy)
I love all your videos, You guys have inspired me to get outside and do something different than the norm.
Wow great job guys! Love the opening too! Whole vid is very professional and informative!
Just enough video to keep us addicted, tease! Wonderful work!
What a score! New video and it's not even Sunday, AND a cool new intro to boot! #WinningWithTheWynns
Wow! Good new intro. Also photography, always good, is improved AND it is less vacuous; I actually learned something. Well done.
Love the new intro! Hope the anchors keep y’all from being tossed around too much! As always, we look forward to Sunday’s video. Have a great weekend!

I like this editing style with the new quick intro and narration off camera. The cat thingy was cute.
Loved your intro! Be safe, and enjoy this gorgeous place.
Loved all about the video and the sea monster played a great part.
Thank you. I loved your video and the introductions and Singa's artwork. Very realistic of course. Safe travels.
That intro is perfect for your channel, I love it.
Love the video. Especially love the new intro! PROUD OF YOU 4!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow, Beautiful scenic shots at the end!
Lol like the new story telling and stop motion art... I really enjoyed it... wanted more
Loved the new intro. Your video quality just keeps increasing. Fantastic job!
What an awesome surprise! Like bumping into great friends at the supermarket unexpectedly! Loved the fresh new intro and demo segment which was enhanced with the cameos of Cleo & Singa. Thanks for such a wonderful Friday gift!
That was cool...love the view...the diagram was awesome to explain the dual anchors...safe travels you guys!...see ya on Sunday!
Luv the map in the beginning.
You all have come so far with your sailing. You should be proud. I don't know where you're going, but I can't wait to follow along.
Love the intro, and graphics, fun and educational. Keep up the great work, always look forward to your next video.
Wow! How special! Great intro! I almost feel like the Wynns don’t NEED an intro! Everybody knows the WYNNS!!
I’ll stay up for the Sunday video. Thanks for the Saturday bonus.
Like the new format guys. Shows cleverness and fun for the cats.
Love the new intro and the views are spectacular!!!
That place is on my bucket list.. You guys are having to much fun.. Wish i was there
Love the new very professional intro.
Almost cinematic!
WOW while you two were lowering two anchors you two are raising two bars artistically on your video presentations! Sweet! Ain't love grand?
haha, nice anaogy. Thanks for the compliment we worked exceptionally hard on the new bit you see in the vid. Loads more to come :)
Love the intro! You two are such professionals in the You Tube world. I will never take up sailing but I sure get a taste of it through your videos. Thanks for sharing!
Loved loved loved the new intro! And the cat destroying the map was great! Thanks for sharing!
Great short bonus video - very professional introduction. Still looking forward to Sunday!
Loved the intro and the stop action animations? and the live action destruction!
Ha, yes. The stop animation and furry sea-monster destruction was fun to put together and share :)
I really like the new intro 💗💗💗 and... OMG that view..👍👍👍😉😊😊
Anchor Retrieval Tip: Use physics!

Since you have dive gear, you could also throw some lift bags in your kit I suppose.
Great new opening. Awesome quality.
There is a way of running a line from your anchor chain about two meters down; to one of your winches at the stern. You then pull the boat round like a pivot action and bring the boat facing the swell and cutting down on rolling. I've seen it demonstrated on TH-cam but can't find the link now.
Fun!!! Nice to have an extra video....loved the graphics!
loved the cute little animations and update. stay safe and having a great time you 4
you need what we call a bobajaan in SA you connect a round ball float to your anchor line with a loose running shackle you then drive side on to the anchor which drives the float down onto the anchor and it then lifts the anchor up and you bring the line in saves breaking your tender
Nice fresh opening. I like it!😉👍🏻
Stern anchor retrieval suggestion...
Love the new intro! Following you since day 1 from the Philippines :)
loved the new intro, got a kick out of the visual aids with cleos help of corse.
Love the new intro. Good job!!!👍🏼😎⛵️
Really like the new format guys! It must be a lot of work, but it looks great! The animation was especially cool - the diagram made it easy to understand what was going on.
It’s almost time for me to have a sundowner - here’s cheers!
Wow! Leveled up in your editing game! You always do amazing, but this one is next level.
This is so great, amazing quality and will keep me dreaming of that view for a long time
Nice bonus video. Great graphics and explanation of stern anchoring.👌

Love in the new intro and the paper animation with animated Cleo was hilarious I loved it
Love the new opening sequence!
I really like the new intro guys!! I wish you all well. One amazing journey you are all on.
Thanks for this video. Really cleared things up for me about the anchors. Love from Pakistan!
Love the new intro - and video ! As for the harming of cats - I only heard one cats’ response 🤣
I've never mentioned your kitties, but luv them
We love em too 😽
Very exciting stern anchor story. I guess you had to be there...
Nice intro. I like the map. Thanks.
Great animation explanation!!!! Do more please!
Outstanding production. Loved the illustrators. I've been involved with fouled anchors in Naples, Italy it wasn't pretty
The new intro is very very nice. And I think important as your videos get shared around. Very professionally done. I esp. liked the Cleo graphic on stern anchor!!! Nice work - but then I've come to expect that from you. I aspire to develop my video skills to just "half" of what you guys do :)
You Just Got A Big Thumbs Up. Thank you for sharing, and looking forward to tomorrow.!
