Great videos. I love fine art papers and learning about new ones, etc so very appreciated and excited to see more. Canson Platine is one of my favorite papers partially for it's true white tone, do you know any other high quality papers that are possibly even truer white tone that don't contain OBAs? Appreciated

Hi. The Platine has a 'whiteness' rating of CIE 89.12, (and has no OBA's at all) you could take a look at the new baryta Photographique II which has a CIE rating of 96.3. It has a very low OBA content, but not totally OBA free. The baryta Prestige is rated at CIE 112, and also has very low OBA's. I would consider both to be suitable for gallery work, offering good archivability. I would have no hesitation in using either of these alternatives and I have prints hanging in my gallery made on both. Hope that helps?

@@ChrisCeaserPhotography that's fantastic and very appreciated. Do you mind explaining CIE 89,12? I've been curious about that when I look over the tech sheets of papers but haven't been able to nail down what exactly the two numbers are. My guess at this point is 89 is 89% whiteness/reflectivity across the light spectrum, is 12 for CIE Tint(red vs green)? I'm excited to try the new baryta Photographique II, I hadn't heard about it until your video. Fantastic photos by the way. I enjoy hearing your discussion of the composition as well.

@@kyledarrenhanson Hi. Ha, I'm not that scientific I'm afraid. You can search for CIE whiteness on the web and articles come up trying to explain it all. It seems a bit complicated, chatting about non-visible light and how OBA's affect things. I trust the guys at Canson. They have so much experience and have supplied papers used by many famous artists/photographers alike. I certainly feel as though my photographic printing is in good hands :)

@@ChrisCeaserPhotography no worries, yeah the explanations are over my head, just trying to find a way when online shopping for papers to know the brightness and tone of white the papers are. I don't have any local places where I live to actually see the papers. Appreciated though. Keep up the great videos, looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the very informative video. Just what I was looking for. Do you mind telling me which printer you use, if you print it yourself? Such a beautiful print.

Vicente Leiva Hi. My gallery has wall panels, as well as my traditional paper prints. The panel you refer to is a wooden backed wall panel, named ‘Art Panel’ on my website.

I almost can't hear the audio on this video, much less understand it. I'm having to use closed captioning, which is dark gray on black and difficult to read.

Hi. I think you seem to be having problems on a few of the videos. I'm sorry but not sure how I can help. Many seem to be able to hear them fine. Some of the early ones were perhaps a little quiet as I was trying to make videos using new equipment, I am a photographer after all, not a videographer. Hopefully the later ones may be more accessible for you. All videos are just my own efforts to try to help where I can. They are not officially endorsed by Canson Infinity. Chris

@@ChrisCeaserPhotography Well, I'm a little hard of hearing, and I'm sure many other viewers are also But I do hear most other videos just fine. My computer and TH-cam volumes are at 100%, and I can't hear yours, especially this last one. Try increasing the volume about 20%. Viewers can easily turn it down, but what's not there can't be turned up. Just FYI. Cood content, though.

Thanks for the advice. as I said, some of the earlier videos did have quieter sound, so maybe avoid those. Hopefully going forward I have sorted things so there should be no issues :)
