my dog Kodak is so high energy, hates wet grass, hates rain will hold it and wait until rain settles for #2, I love him hes really a fun baby!!! definately shows traits of minpin and dachshund!!

I have a 1 year old minpin, and a lot of topics you covered are very similar to me. 🙂 Minpins have a bad reputation of being non-stop barkers, and a somewhat aggressive/dominant personality. Fortunately, mine is nothing like that. He's the most gentle dog I ever had and sometimes he goes multiple days without any barking at all. I think it depends a lot on how you raise them. My guess is that most people who own small breeds don't really bother to put in the work to train them properly. From the very beginning I've treated my minpin as if he was going to be a big doberman when grown up. These little guys (especially minpins) need strong leadership, a loving family and routine. They're indeed a very stubborn breed, but luckily they are highly food motivated, which you can use to your advantage! They're also incredibly intelligent. This video inspired me to make some videos of my own dog now 😄
Dachshunds are the same way-because they’re stubborn, you have be willing to “out stubborn the stubborn” as I call it. Henry rarely barks. Mostly he’s very timid around new people even though I’ve done my best to socialize him and to be confident around new situations. Go for it! There are a lot of pet channels out there. 🙂

That’s how Henry is, too! He refuses to go #2 in the rain unless it’s an emergency. I call him Sergeant Stubborn. 😄
