    Nice one Audry. Love that bike. Waiting for my new Ogre comming end of May. I order a compleet bike and give it a go. Just change the steer and will see what is needed to change during the years.

    Looks great. I love the new blue. Ive got a two year old red Ogre. Its such a rugged bike and seems to ride better when it's loaded. It came with 2.5 inch tyres but I have replaced them with 2.2. I'm in Australia and hope to ride around The Netherlands when travel improves. Videos like yours and Fernwee have inspired me to head over when it's possible. Keep the vids coming.

      Thanks. It's always nice to hear that i inspire people with my video's. The best bandwidth depends on the surface you are cycling on. In the Netherlands the road surface is never very bad.

      @@audreytracks Due to the Rohloff or Pinion gear systems being enclosed in a casing it means less problems with dirt, and due to chain not shifting gears so cleaner and easier to mantain in my experience. However, I do like your cycling vidoes and admire your adventure and courage as a woman to cycle alone on such long cycling adventures' I live in London and have cycled round The Netherlands which I very much enjoyed , except for the strong headwind on the odd day. My favourate destination for cycling adventures being France . Easy access from SE England , wonderful designated cycling routes , great variety of spectactular scenery and delicious food !! I'm also 6 feet. I have de XL frame. I have pretty long legs and arms. My innerleg is 2,9 feet. The distance saddle to handlebars is quite large at the Ogre. My advice is to compare the dimensions of the geometry with your own bicycle.

      Hi Steve, the parts i choose for my bike-setup is not the suggested parts from Surly. I have selected the parts for simplicity, durabiliy and price/quality ratio. The total cost of my bike is a bit more then the factory made bike. The handmade wheel where expensive.

      Thanks. The handlebar i use is the Ergotec Moon Bugle. 23"backswing. I like the handlebars because your wrists are more in a straight line. The inner barends are also a solution for my tingling hands. I now have many positions to place my hands.

    • @audreytracks
      @audreytracks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What tools do i bring on tour? Bicycle pump, spare inner tube, tire repair kit, various wrenches, chain tool, ti-raps, spare spokes, brake pads, tape. I always use tubes. Keep it easy so you can fix everything yourself when you are on the road.
      Are you still happy with your bike?

    • @cenomestlibre
      @cenomestlibre 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@audreytracks Thanks, I don't bring spokes and brake pads. Spokes may be a good idea. Yes I am happy (1 year old), a bit deceived by the rate of punctures I had so I'll probably go tubeless. And I will add a tubus (or two).

    • @audreytracks

      It took me two months to get all the parts together because of some parts where no longer in stock at that time. The build didn't take much time. Just a few hours. I had never built a whole bike before, but I have always done the maintenance myself. I also replaced parts, so I actually knew how a bicycle works.
