- The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, described as the Varian Disaster (Latin: Clades Variana) by Roman historians, was a major battle between Germanic tribes and the Roman Empire that took place somewhere near modern Kalkriese from September 8-11, 9 AD, when an alliance of Germanic peoples ambushed three Roman legions led by Publius Quinctilius Varus and their auxiliaries. The alliance was led by Arminius, a Germanic officer of Varus's auxilia. Arminius had acquired Roman citizenship and had received a Roman military education, which enabled him to deceive the Roman commander methodically and anticipate the Roman army's tactical responses.
This was interesting. More of a slideshow style, which was different, still plenty of which shots, though, and the backgrounds were excellent
Thanks, since the algorithm doesn't show appreciation on this channel, I try different things and see what happens😅
Love your Playmobil stop motion takes keep up the good work Can't wait for more in the future. Love all the action and sound effects
Where are my legions?!?
Next on the list is an obvious one: the battle of Cannae. Liked the video, was cool to see a different style once in a while!
Fun thing is, I study Latin in school, so most of the historical things you post I've already learned about, wich definitely makes it more fun to watch!
Thanks for the appreciation, I'm glad they are historical accurate to some degree, I wish I knew Latin myself though
@@PlaymobilFilms The thing I love most is culture, where we learn about traveling, maps, meals, well-known Roman Emperors, Roman battles, battle tactics & weapons. But again, you could research it on wikipedia, so if you're interested you could go on a vacation to Rome or Greek city- states like Mycene or Athens. It is quite expensive though.
@@mgproductions.stopmotionfilms I happen to live in Greece so I have been to most of these places you mention. If you get any chance, you should visit them too, it's worth the effort. I want to visit more places though like Rome and Egypt. And maybe some medieval castles throughout europe
@@mgproductions.stopmotionfilms there are ancient ruins about ten minutes from where I live, where you can walk on them, they are just abandoned and everyone can enter. I tried to film a stop motion movie once, I had all the figures ready, took my camera etc and went there. Everything seems to turn out perfect until people started to notice and started to ask question about why I am playing with toys😅 it felt weird so I left. Too bad, I really wanted to make a battle with real ancient background walls.
@@PlaymobilFilms I understand that, when I buy figures in the store people start to look at me weirdly lol.
Roma Aeterna! The images you use for these types of videos are always so cool haha.
Thanks for watching till the end!😊
