This week, we explore a beautifully redesigned 4-bedroom condo in the heart of Kovan, boasting a spacious 1,700 square feet.
Designed by Studio Gin & G, this unique home has been ingeniously reconfigured from a 4-bedroom unit into a 2-bedroom one, supplemented by 2 study areas. The revamped layout brings an added dimension of space and usability to the family's growing needs.
As you step through the front door, you'll notice an entryway that provides direct access to a conveniently located storage space, perfect for stowing away shoes and maintaining a clutter-free living area.
The dining and living room are conceptualised as one seamless space, elegantly expanded by a balcony that acts as a natural extension of the indoor areas. The result is a spacious, open, and cohesive communal area.
The kitchen area is thoughtfully divided into two parts. A dry kitchen serves as an interactive and engaging hub for the living and dining area, creating an entertainment aspect that's perfect for hosting and socialising.
Significant alterations were made to the original layout to allow for a longer kitchen island, enhancing functionality and serving as a statement piece in the design.
In the common bathroom, the space uses the same material palette to maintain a sense of continuity and cohesion with the rest of the home.
The children's room is a delight, with a wallpaper that introduces natural elements into the space. The addition of hanging HAY Nelson pendant lights infuses the room with a cosy and whimsical touch.
The master bedroom is an absolute sanctuary. The existing bay window has been creatively utilised with a wooden frame that helps to frame the views beautifully. Adding to the room's sophistication is a hanging Louis Poulsen lamp, a chic addition that completes the room perfectly.
Special thanks to interior designers Georgina and Genevieve and the homeowners for showing us around their wonderful home.

They could consider putting a carpet at the living area to better demarcate the space from the dining area, otherwise it looks like the sofa is just plonked in between the dining table and TV console.
Wow, really like the condo. Clean, minimalist and not clutter at all, that's my dream house.
You can do it!
The entire space gives the feeling of lightness. And that wallpaper in the kids' room is gorgeous 👏
We agree 😊
The whole space looks stunning. Thanks for giving us all a tour.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
This home is so calming.
It is! 😊
Loving all the furniture pieces and the wet kitchen being well concealed, though I believe adding a rug in the living area would make the overall design more well executed. Anywho, amazing job done by the designing team 👏🏼❤
Thank you ! 😊
Aww the dog is cute..
I wish builders today incorporated those sliding/accordion balcony doors - they merged the inside/outside into an amazing space1
Thank you for your insights 😊
restful. love the design
Yes, Thank you 😊
By Gods goodness Owning a property that’s luxury makes you stay at home…the comfortable space makes me always relax and stay enjoy it
Thanks for sharing!
very cozy condo
Glad you like it!
The furniture really makes the design here, so I'm not too sure if this is interior design or styling.
I've been seeing that Moon Dining table everywhere recently, be it the $5000 in-store one, or the $500 bootleg one. Is it some IG/TT meme that I don't know about?
Also, that ceiling is amazing, it must be like 1.6x Reubens. It is so high it might get attract attention from the CNB.
Heads up to the homeowners, those freestanding bath tubs are a huge pain to clean. Even more than the typical bath tubs, since you now have build up in a hard to reach place. From experience, crap will start to accumulate behind. Man I really dislike bath tubs, gives me bad flashbacks of the days I had to scrub the disgusting gunk off them almost every other week.
The doggies 🤍🐶🧡🐶😃
This is a well designed space without need for excesses that lead to clutter. You don’t need a rug to “ground” a space or knickknacks that show “personality” while actually just accumulating dust. A clean Space that encourages mindfulness ✨
YES !
Fomg balcony Damn chill
Yes looks very chill
Is the light at the dining table customised?
Hi where is the dining table from? Any links or contact details pls?
The balcony so big sit there stare into neighbour house so close 😂
Sit there and stare straight into their houses lol
The black piece under the Tv, would someone be able to tell me the exact name. I have been looking for a piece of that length and size.
which condo launch is this?
Which condo?
Facing the private estate might be better
🙌
Thank you!
As interesting as a pair of cotton socks.
Opposite block is so close there is no privacy at all have to close the curtain all the time.
its just like a show room instead of a lived in
Too much empty space ... It doesn't just breathe it feels almost lonely
It's to encourage mindfulness so u can celebrate daily routines, and elevate them into little rituals of self care
They have the kinda Tiong Bahru vibes😂😂
Space is v nice. But mindfulness???
Definitely well designed. But the ID personnel may prefer to speak something that common folks can comprehend. Mindfulness in design? Who will speak that way, from another metaverse?
Not even well designed, it looks plain and boring
For singaporeans admiring this house but at the same time, looking to marry and have children, please keep your expectations realistic. This house is obviously not designed for your traditional husband and wife with two kids family nucleus.
Is it just me or do design people just talk utter BS?
Very Generic Showroom Theme. There is no focal point in the main living/dining/kitchen area to ground the “mindfulness” design concept. Whole space feels very “blank/bland” pun intended after watching the video.
Idgit, how is this even a curated design? Singapore's design scene is so typical and boring..... like wth anyone could have had came out with this "curate design" on their own.. don't get me wrong, the space is nice but not curated.
