The art of drawing spirits into crystals by Johannes Trithemius

Trithemius is best known for his Steganographia, but his other works include this short grimoire on the use of crystals in the summoning of celestial spirits.
The Art of Drawing Spirits Into Crystals (DSIC), has been attributed to the abbot of Spanheim, Johannes Trithemius, however, many surmise that the document was more likely heavily “borrowed” from Francis Barretts The Magus, or Celestial Intelligencer.
This text leads the reader through the use of a simple wand, pedestal, lamen, and a polished and clear crystal in order to manifest and converse with celestial forces as well as how to constrain them through the use of simple invocation and prayer.
Please note that the names of four entities engraved on the tools may vary, depending upon which authority you enquire.
Some believe it to be the four archangels-others the four kings.
*Agrippa considers the four kings to be : East/Oriens, West/Paimon, North/Egym, South/Amaymon
*The Jewish writers considered them to be: Samael, Azazel, Azael, Mahazuel.
*However, Rufus Opus conceives them as: Michael/fire,Raphael/Air, Gabriel/water , Uriel/Earth(instead of the four kings).
Many scholars have attributed Oriens, Paimon, Egyn, Amaymon to being the four kings.
Francis Barrett’s personal notes included inklings that the four entities are necessary for the materialization or manifestation of the spirit in the crystal, and that the four archangels perform this function .
