      I need to go in the right day. Every time I’ve tried I can only see a couple feet in front of my face.

      Yeah they're all over the place. We have too many. Now we only pickup the ones with purple lips or albinos. :)

    This island seems to be a great place to find Alphabet Cones.

      Whoop Whoop! Love Bardstown. We used to go to the bourbon fest out there and visit my Old Kentucky home around Christmas time.

    Where did you get your water shoes?

    • @OceanSoulOhana
      @OceanSoulOhana  ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re called xero shoes. They’re not great in the water but I wear them everywhere.

    That’s a gorgeous shark tooth necklace she is wearing. I assume that’s one of your creations? How much would one like that cost?

    I love watching these to spot things with you!
    If you had the choice - would you go in mid December or the beginning of April for shelling? We went in December 2021 and had awful luck, then this past summer did pretty well, and are looking to go back but this time with our 12yo

      Thank you so much 😁
      Mid December the tides are going to be low in the mornings + winter has always treated us better than spring with the shells.
      Let us know when you decide we’d be happy to help with any recommendations.

    So glad y’all were able to help the bird. What kind of bird is that? I didn’t hear the name and it is the second one I have seen today in videos online. Someone else was actually asking because they had a video of it but didn’t know what species it was.

    • @OceanSoulOhana
      @OceanSoulOhana  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a cormorant. They are really neat birds, great in the water. Kind of like a duck but more aerodynamic and a sharper beak. 😁

      @@OceanSoulOhanaoh thanks! I saw a few when I was in the 10K islands, but I didn’t get a chance to learn all the birds. Was too busy shelling! 😁

    Are you making sure there are no creatures living in those shells?

    • @deniseyoung5385
      @deniseyoung5385 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re very careful about that. These people are professional shellers and they make jewelry from seashells. They are very respectful and protective of nature.

    I thought I was the only person in the world that didn’t like Turkey.
    I’ve eaten it once in my life and that’s because it was deep fried. 20 or more years ago.
