This independent documentary reveals his thoughts on blues music, his influences growing up and the tone of Rory Gallagher. Johnny's own unique tone is also featured in electrifying live footage. Johnny Gallagher is truly a stellar entertainer and most definitely a cornerstone of the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival; Seeing Johnny Gallagher and the Boxty Band live is an exciting experience. Johnny has the place bouncing; guaranteed a barnstorming performance! - A most enjoyable documentary.

Another amazing documentary, Marcus. Johnny Gallagher is such a talent and wonderful hearing him talk about his background and influences. I didn't know much about him before this. His guitar playing on Shadow Play was brilliant. His admiration of Rory is so respectful and I totally agree with what he said about Rory's slide playing. Rory's slide playing was outstanding and to my mind is head and shoulders above any other guitar player like Johnny mentioned. I will look forward to the next documentary. Thank you so much for making these.

Gessus that's brilliant footage Marcus. Johnny is on top form playing is brilliant. Remember hearing them play in Belcoo I think it was mid 80s .
