I am the official first person to find a 1999 Delaware state quarter, in Alabama, according to Neuministic News. I sent it by snail mail, it was photographed, and verified, as both the first reported 1999 Delaware Quarter, but it was also an error coin. A true 180 degree die cast error. I think I got robbed when I sold it for $85
Great info. Have you seen the later state spitting horse where the die crack goes all the way through the horses head and all the way to the rim about the K11 position I think. Essentially a rim to rim die crack. I have only seen one that sold on eBay, but I am on the lookout for that one 🎉🎉
I believe I have a steel 1999 Delaware P. The one that is in my possession has surface rust on either side of it, but still has the copper line on the edge, what confuses me is how the outside of the quarter has rusted the way it did. I have not been able to find anything about a steel version of this quarter so I would be curious what you guys think.
Hey man, I recently went through my pockets and as I was putting away some change I saw color on one of my quarters. It's a 1999 Delaware quarter that is still pretty shiny and in good shape. The print of Caesar Rodney looked to have been stamped with ink, and it's off centered just barely to his figure. I've never seen a quarter with any color on it. Can you tell me what this is? Is it worth anything at all?

What would it sell for today?
Excellent presentation Christian. Your insight is always appreciated. Keep up the great work!
1999 had a lot of government workers in the Philly mint making their own retirement money with "helped" coin errors.
What about the 199-P ‘Headless Horseman’? I believe it is a grease filled die, but not completely sure.
@@ajm8680 I haven’t seen a headless horseman. Can you send me a picture
Excellent slides to represent the market value for coins.
Good insights ... have to look for that horse!
Good informative site

I recently got an original entire roll of these! Could you give me the best advice as to what to do with it?

I just found one that's literally missing the E in "The First State!!" It says "The First Stat"!! How much?!
Was it worth anything? I found one with the same thing .
I have a quarter that looks like it has been stamped harder than usual because you can see the front item on the back
What if you found one with color in the background?? How much ?

Anyone know if a 1999 P Delaware quarter is worth anything if it's missing the E where it says THE FIRST STATE? Mine says THE FIRST STAT. 🤔
