my Mother as a child lost her mother and her father worked on a fishing boat as a cook. He wasn't home very often due to work. Their Jewish landlord came for the rent and the children were afraid to open the door. They finally did and said we have no rent money not even food. So the landlord left and came back with two shopping bags of food. My mother never forget his kindness and passed this on to us, her children.

thank you for your message. the core part of each outreach, each Mitzvah are precious and we can never know the impact of our life, our smile, our outreach. EVERYONE can do outreach in one form or another.
with all due respect, they were fighting socialism, not communism. why is it important? because nowadays we still fight socialism and can learn so much from the greatness of the previous generations.
another one, please understand that in our privacy we analyse and grow. the question is more about where we find this privacy and inspiration. some find it during silent prayer and some during loudest discussion (or both).
plus, it's often community on the outskirts of the town who need more help. not always you need to travel overseas to help, helping close to home is gaining an important impact.
one more thing, about judgement. if the judgement is out of love for your fellow - it's wonderful. otherwise........
thank you again for this presentation

    I am doing research...
I was wondering if anyone who is reading this forum would be able to let me know what the Reltionship was between Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson and a person called Frederick Franz (Watchtower Bible and Tract Society).
If you can shed any light on this relationship, please leave me a comment.
    I would greatly appreciate it.
    .
Thank you Rabbi Manis Friedman for a very informative talk.

Food - reminded me of 40 yrs ago when I was at college and was "invited" by a bunch of Moonies. Their indoctrination tactics were just vile. I honestly cannot remember all the graphs and charts and assorted nonsense they were presenting. Just remember thinking : ok, where's this lunch I was promised ? This bunch was creeping me out, but, college student, basically broke, I was willing to listen.
    And lunch - A stale pb&j sandwich.
Their theology - weird and sombre.
My public service announcement : use your good judgment, if someone claims to be Mashiah. . .run !

Every Jew is precious so that sounds like discrimination to me. I heard that from other supremacy people, I guess tribalism will never out grow even with this new era of technology. Sad😇😇😇

Is this some sort of christianity all over again? Giving glory to a dead man. Rabbi if you do not know what christianity is, this is your version of it. You do not give glory to Hashem. This is idolatry. However good your rebbe is, or whatever he has done for you, he is just another dead guy.

This may be a great opportunity to learn, do some research and get a better understanding rather than speak unkindly publicly. I know for me, the more I read up on the Rebbe , the respect is truly merited.
Thank you Rabbi Friedman for a great intro to the Rebbe.
