Same here! I'm not an opera person myself(more into musical theatre, with an emphasis on dense stylized/genre mixing compositions and thought engaging thematic scripts(likes of Leonard Bernstien, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill, Marc Blitzstein, Jason Robert Brown, Lin Manuel Miranda, Dave Malloy, etc.), but I would die happy to have seen this once!
Interesting enough not to be experimental. Recreating experiences is in itself a space, no doubt about it. But so open within its own world that requitesto be timeless. And that...is quite difficult. Reminded me Einstein in the Beach. Grazzie.
Fantastic documentary. Thanks KCET.
Mind blowing event - unfortunately it sold out before I could get tickets. Would love to see it return.
Hi Mark - the studio album was just released... you can buy it here - www.invisiblecitiesopera.com/recording/ - and it's also available on Spotify.
