Great video Jonny but it is very apparent that the boatyards do not do enough to make some ready for life on the river, and NEVER jump off a moving boat, and certainly not without a rope in hand.
You're right. The boatyards just give a cursory brief to hirers. They don't care that it's dodgems on the rivers. The ranger even passed by during the earlier collision and did nothing, not even a reprimand. This is why I removed my boat from the Broads
Nice to finally meet you and have chat on this day Jonny. I also had a nice chat with the gentleman on the bridge whilst he was giving guidance to the boats on their passage through. You can’t see me though as I’m stood behind the trees on the left of the bridge 🤣🤣
Nice video Jonny . The only way to tackle Ludham Bridge in a cross wind is to make sure you have enough headroom, line up and gun the boat because you know boats steer better at speed so the wind does not effect you so much. Hope to see you in 2 weeks when we visit Norfolk.
i think it's time they had a swing bridge there lol , because alot of the boats are getting higher as well as longer , i never know what the proper protocol is for going under ludham , i saw somewhere that the people going with the tide should go through first , but i don't know if that's true or not .

That’s what I’ve been told, those going with the tide have right of way. I’m sure someone will confirm that for us.
Booked the amore for next September.
