    I really liked this video on handicapping. It helped me a lot to understand the tools you use. I admit that my interest in horses was personal more than gambling well. I had learned from the grandstand people at Santa Anita and had carried those biases with me. Thanks to you, and the internet, I am learning pro handicapping skills. I believe in body language of the horse. That Japanese horse Derma Sotogake really impressed me this morning in its acclimation. Big difference between it and it’s companion Continuar in adjusting to the track. For years I believe I communicated with the horses. But I have always studied the racing form but never used Formulator. Thanks to you I will use it now! Good luck, and thanks again!

    I am happy the young people think that racing information is going to help them be a winner in the game we love. It doesn't help alone. But its purpose is to make you dizzy and inflate your EGo to insure you gamble your money

    Great video. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us your process. Personally, I struggle in my handicapping because I'm not patient enough to keep on one product. I have used many and all have not produced any positive outcomes. I never used DRF but can see how beneficial it is. Is there anyway you can handicap an upcoming race or pick 3 in the future. I would benefit from watching and participating. Thanks again for your time.

      Hello Ramon......I plan on doing a livestream soon going through a P3, P4, or P5...it might be Friday, stay tuned. I would absolutely pick one product you like to use and stick with that....switching back and forth might be a bit confusing. Thanks always for the support and comments!

    One more comment. I will still always use TG but I can definitely see how Formulator will complement the sheets very well. They are two totally different products. They are excellent in easily identifying form cycles and horses that are losing form. You can so easily spot trainers that have have their “special vets”, etc. I will not post their names here but there are definitely others that are still active with their medicine cabinets and vets. It is very easy to see with the sheets. Have a good week.

    DRF is a very popular platform. I never used it before but it sounds like something I need to try.

    Great job!! Very knowledgeable,I handicap very similarThe only problem, I still use caveman betting, for Pk3, Pk4, etc, etc. Can you do a segment on how to use the DRF ticket maker? On an up coming podcast, I follow you on Twitter, are you on Facebook also. Would love to chat, discuss handicapping. Thxs Steve Oliva

    • @HHHRacingPodcast
      @HHHRacingPodcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Steve for the compliments. I'm probably not going to do a video on how to use DRF Ticketmaker, since there are many ways to find that out, including going to DRF itself, You Tube "how to use DRF Ticketmaker", etc.....BUT, in the coming weeks when my tech is updated (coming very soon), I'll show you how I input my picks into the program and you'll see just by watching. I'm on Facebook, but frankly don't use it much at all and rather not spread by You Tube Channel comments all over the place. Just tweet me or comment on this channel, or email me (howard.kravets@comcast.net). If you really want, we could set up a 1-on-1 zoom meeting and talk for a few, I'd be happy to do that......as long as you can guarantee getting me more subscribers and views on video from friends!! Nice job on the video. Your presentation will only get better as you get more experience. Your analysis of the race was spot on. My question is why no downgrade for the 10 for being off 2weeks short of 6 months. King Ottocar also ad a spotty workout pattern and was dropping into claiming ranks which did not appear to be a Casse pattern. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next videos.

      Thanks, Richard, appreciate the complement. I just bought a webcam, mic, etc....so the channel will look and feel different pretty soon. Anyway....I was a bit concerned about the layoff (didn't have time to show you stats, but Casse Ok with layoffs and Tyler G. was riding, so figured he was ready to run), but he had such a class edge that I figured he could overcome the layoff. You are right, dropping not best angle for Casse, but his barn is going well (Untitled on Friday off layoff).

    Excellent video. Great learning. Just don't know if I have the energy to do this for an entire card. Which tracks do you focus on? (I presume it depends on the time of year.) Do you consider track bias?

    • @HHHRacingPodcast
      @HHHRacingPodcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Gemini...once you know what to look for, it goes a lot quicker than the tutorial I sent out. I usually spend no more than 10-15 minutes per race unless there's a lot of replays to watch or maiden races with a lot of first-time starters (so have to study pedigrees, etc...). I can usually handicap a full card comfortably in about 90 min-2 hours. I mainly focus on New York, California and Florida....sometimes Oaklawn and Fairgrounds on their big days. Oaklawn more often...huge fields and good competition. I've had the most success at Aqueduct so far this year. In terms of track bias, I don't focus too much on that.....you have to follow 1 track constantly and take a lot of trip notes, which I don't have time for as I'm a full-time HS teacher. But when I listen to pre-race shows (like Andy Serling with NYRA for example), I might pick up on what they've said about track bias. But that's just one factor, usually a smaller one, in my handicapping decisions.

    7 hello my name is Donna I'm 73 years old and I've been at the racetrack for number of years and I noticed the things that's taking place at the racetrack is not on the internet like the blind notes on the horse jockey switches and Equipment changes the past few years I've been working on a horse race system basically looking for someone to help me get off the ground I made a flyer that goes into different bar is across the country give them tips what to look for and what to look for when the time is right and not to play every race to focus on certain things I know you know the horse up and down in class but the jockey also goes up and down in class and what they do is keep the odds on the horse but not on the driver's my horse race system keeps an eye on both of them and put some together so you could know how to pick your horse so it gives him a six to eight different things to look for it and once they start winning then hopefully they'll buy my system it's around 100 to $140 and that system I give him about 20 to 30 different ways to win I put this horse's to man to a point system where the jockey in the horse line-up save the horse was 12:55 in the jockey was 321 the chances are that horse for coming to the money until second or third place at lace only a computer could keep track of it all I'm hoping one track at a time this flyer is a legal size legal size paper that's folded up I still don't know it all about horse racing quite a bit I'm trying to understand like from the top I'm trying to understand who changes the jockeys on the on the horses my horse system works from the bottom up not from the top down they don't do the same thing on top as they do on the bottom on the bottom you have have the horses training more I had a phone call I'm Blossom track of what I said do my system works from the bottom up and it stops 250 on 50000 at stops it has to be checked out more going up I also tell him that horses owned and jockeys owns horses on other tracks when they go flying to that track to ride that horse the horse wins but otherwise they have just the regular jockey that drives a horse he doesn't win but he probably get some money some what they told this radio announcer that in three months that he'll be off the air in three months because of the information that he's giving out and he was off the air three months to everybody's surprise this Jackie had people calling in from all over the country tell him what's going on and that's one of the things that I caught how to get this information so I shared this information with the people at the bars nothing's really crooked it's it's none of our business to know if the jockeys own horses on the other tracks or not but he is our business to win and how to get this information and how you could win by looking up the win this year's where we get this information I've been writing different people hoping somebody was respond back for me but I haven't heard anything that came back yet I just started about a week ago I also have a horse trophy if people win rebake the Winnebago trophy it's not like the trophies that's out there now most atrophies up there now it's just for the horses this is for the people that win at the track and they get the amount of money they win on it and a whole lot more well I hope you got got my attention my name is Don and you call me up if you want to 704-901-6705 I'm in Charlotte North Carolina I haven't been playing the horses for a long time I went back in time and wrote a lot of stuff that will Fascinate whoever reads if I don't pick up the phone the first time please call again then I'll know it's important and I'll call you right back my name is Dad thank you for calling

    Do you know of an online sportsbook site that is legal in Tennessee for horse racing? I did read that Bet MGM has just become legal in Tennessee. They seem to have every sport except horse racing.

    Sir does weight of a jockey included in hancapping in that case I saw some jockeys wait is more then a handicapping weight mention in the race card for example jockeys weight is 38kg and the horse he is riding is given a weight of 60 kg that means he is carrying 22kgs of weight including saddle and all equipment weight is it right please clarify

    • @HHHRacingPodcast
      @HHHRacingPodcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is correct, Ravinder. I personally do NOT take weight into large consideration. There are debates about this. For me, it only matters if the race is to be run over a route of ground (8 furlongs/1600m) or more, and has to be a substantial weight difference. Thanks for the question!!

    Most people won't understand a thing your talking about . They have to take the journey themselves.

    Degobuster Approach vs DEGO traditional approach. The approach you are talking about.
    Dego approach is playing 1000 of unplayable races. Horse racing information is just insuring to keep playing the game.
    40 years later You will have to learn to skipp 90% of the races you are currently playing.

    You wasted 12 minutes trying to explain products. Just get into it. You don't figure the pace of the race by speed ratings. The pace is determined by who WANTS to go to the lead and running style. What if one horse had a easy lead and slowed it down. The speed rating is going to be low. They could run that race 10 times with the same horses and get 10 different ratings. You determine the pace by running style. And form. Who is going to go for the lead and who can handle that pace. Once you determine the contenders you can use final time speed ratings and adjust them by moves a horse made during the race.

    • @HHHRacingPodcast
      @HHHRacingPodcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Greer, thanks for the comments. A few things....first of all, part of the video was to explain what Formulator is, not everyone watching the video is an expert with the tool. 2nd, the early and late Timeform US ratings in the form do exactly that...determine who is NATURALLY the fastest early and late. Of course, how they break, intent, etc...matters. But it's a good guide to help determine race flow. The overall number (Beyer in this case) is a good measure, but there are many out there, agree with you on that.
