Lydia, you don’t need to apologize for believing that diet and exercise and lifestyle change a person’s physical and mental health. This is absolutely true and it will work for the majority of people. Garbage in, garbage out. That includes physical garbage and also mental garbage. Stand firm! Don’t worry about offending anyone.

So that means I only have like 2-5 more times to ever see them again considering their health. It’s made me actively try to see them more often.
Hearing you talk about grief was both lovely and interesting. I've lived with grief my entire life. I lost my dad to suicide when I was 2 years old. I have no memories of him, only pictures and stories my family has told me, all the ways people have told me we are similar. There was always a dad-shaped hole in my life. On top of that my mother's health is visibly weakened - she was partially paralysed by an aneurism at 18 years old. She would sometimes fall. For going out she needs a wheelchair now. She turns 70 in november and I'm so glad to still have her. So fear of loss, of losing her as well, because I knew it could happen, of becoming an orphan too soon, is something that's been with me since I was a young young girl, since I could understand the concept of loss. It's been a struggle and I've done my work in therapy a couple of times over. Losing my last grandparent, my paternal grandmother, at 25, was tough as guts too, because I was, alongside my aunt, suddenly one of two main heirs to her stuff, which was extremely weird, and wrong, because that's not "supposed to happen" when you're 25. Sorry to pour this all out in a youtube comment, but I'm crying now and I'm going through a rough patch these weeks. Hearing you put a positive spin on it, how we can learn to appreciate our loved ones more and maybe learn to focus more on what's important, live our lives a little better, was nice. Not giving another person the opportunity to offend me is such a sound principle. That’s been a battle for me to let others have their opinion of me, gossip and misrepresent me and to just ‘let them’. To not dwell endlessly on my hurt, release people from wanting them to “know the truth” about me, not take betrayal so personally, not dwell on and become depleted by the waste of emotion and time I could instead spend creating and living my life. Dear Lydia, your content is so lovely, and it has helped me refine my personal style, but I've found your content to be especially helpful in the last year or so that you've highlighted the aspect of mortality as an inspiration in living a good life. My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago, so the question of dealing with grief was really helpful. I cried when you said something like Know that no matter how low you are you will get better, and I relived all my worst moments seeing how I actually did it and it’s true ❤️ resilience and knowing that eventually everything comes to an end is powerful
Lydia, your second question you answered in such relatable, and has just blown me away. It brought tears to my eyes, your coping mechanisism around death is amazing to me. Having beautiful memories seem to be surprised with grief at our lowest times. But it I can change my approach I think it such a healing tool for us to continue on our journeys. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Anxiety (I have if this too alongside with panic attacks. Which is 🥵🤯🥶 when happening at same time) but when it's on a low ish level it really helps me to open up my chest breath in & out max 5x deep & thinking: "this too shall pass like the flu " & when I don't have any I think this a few times a week so I train my brain. Hope this can help you ❤ from 🇧🇪
First of all you wearing little makeup or no make up you look stunning. I really enjoyed this video. It’s amazing how much we grow and learn through out the years. You are an inspiration ❤️
Oh my goodness, I cried during this video. I’ve been around since your very first get to know me video and Lydia you are like the big sister I never had. Every video I have watched has inspired me to become a better person. I have watched you grow and I would like to think I have grown along side you (or just behind you anyway!) I’m 28 and officially starting my own business and this video was so needed for me so thank you. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being you and for never giving up, thank you for being an inspiration and thank you for being your authentic self. I truly can not describe how grateful I am that you are still creating your beautiful content and putting videos out every week. Whether I’ve had a good week or bad week I always look forward to seeing you. It’s like catching up with a big sister and you always make me feel better, give me the gentle nudge I need or a full blown pep talk but they always come at just the right time. Thank you thank you thank you. Also thank you for helping me enjoy every single season in life and in nature. A lot of people really don’t understand how I can be so happy with the change of the trees outside but I know you do! I did a yoga practice this morning surrounded by trees with gorgeous red and yellow leaves and it brought me sooo much happiness 🤎 thank you. Love you. Xo
I completely agree with your comments on grief. I’ve lost my sister (feels like I lost my parents also due to this loss)niece, friends, grandparents, pets etc…so I feel I’ve experience most kinds of grief besides the absolute trauma of losing my own child. The grief I had losing my little sister and niece is easily the worst as it was before their time and in tragic circumstances. Getting old is such a privilege and I try an encourage others to think the same. My grandparents lived a full life, they’re the lucky ones! It’s sadly the cycle of life and you’re absolutely right, none of us are limitless! Xxx
I am so sorry for your immeasurable losses. You can tangibly feel both the pain but also the deep sense of gratitude you have gained in going through it 🤍
Lydia, you are truly wise beyond your years. It sounds like you’ve really learned from your life experiences, both positive and negative, and you have used your knowledge to become the person you are proud of. This video was very insightful and thought-provoking, and I think it will help so many people. Thank you for being open & vulnerable and for sharing your thoughts & feelings with us.
I enjoyed your chat - especially your natural makeup, no jewelry, etc. look to just be your true self speaking to us. I think Carrie and Ali keep you grounded and are your biggest cheerleaders 👍❤️
The way you answered the question as to the death of a loved one was very moving and comforting. Thank you for that perspective… it will help me moving forward and I’m sure others as well. ❤
Your journey has truely been inspiring. Seeing you go through tough times was really hard. It would make me worried for you a lot of times 😅 But the transformation that you have undergone is simply amazing. And we as viewers have also learnt a lot from you. Your words of wisdom really helps many of us in ways you might not even realise. I had started watching your channel because of your fashion sense, but the main reason I follow you today is for your wisdom about life and being happy. You have truly inspired me ❤❤ You have become my free therapist!!
Hi Lydia, you are absolutely right about the fact that food influences our moods and health symptoms 😊 My Pilates instructor and teacher recommended me “The Food Mood Connection - an indispensable guide to the surprising foods that fight depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, ADHD and more” by Dr Uma Naidoo. The book was awakening for me, but thank God that I still have sustainable food sources (my parents). I like when I see you gardening and you are an inspiration to me. You already have healthy habits, not only you do morning walks and Pilates sessions, but you also eat from good sources ❤ Thank you, Cristina from Romania ❤
I never take the time to comment on your videos not because I don’t like them the opposite. I do love your videos all of them, but I will have to take this moment to let you know how much I appreciate it this one.❤
I love this video. As a much older woman and an exec at a fortune 50 company in the US, much of what you have gone through is very similar to mine. The fear of failure or judgement hits us all. To watch you become the woman who you are now at times was painful - screaming at the screen “stop caring”!!! But you are fully demonstrating leadership. Living in the future - or living in the past- they cause the catastrophic thinking. You need to give yourself props for choosing the right team. That is the most impactful change in a career. You can’t do it alone - but you’ll make it when you pick the right team who share your vision. You and your best friend have built something amazing! Keep going!!! You’re inspiring women!
Have been following you for years & love the genuine, sincere & fun loving person you've become! We'll done & cheers to believing in yourself and spreading joy all around! ❤🎉
Your perspective on question 2 is remarkable. I realized too late that life isn’t limitless and thought death will happen when old and gray and not suddenly to people who you think are invincible. I lost my dad who was my favorite person in the world suddenly and I was blindsided. Im sure your message will give people pause in their lives. Thanks for sharing.
I love this video Lydia, thank you for speaking on these sensitive and very real aspects of life. I too hold so much gratitude for the little things. Wishing you all the best. ❤
Lydia, This is a wonderful vlog for myself and many others. Our bodies really are truly miraculous, you are right. I’ve been severely anxious for most of my life on and off, having experienced so many things that are traumatic. I’m a private person and hate sharing my bad experiences online but there has been death, a lack of parental love, cancer, traumatic births, divorce, betrayal, incredibly severe physical ill health and subsequent circumstantial depression. I’ve experienced many levels of poverty to wealth and back again, several times over and I’m now post menopause and my body has gone through such awful changes but since I started watching your videos, I have started on a self-journey, taking your experiences onboard and trying things out that I think may help me in the long-term. It’s only been three weeks but I am starting to feel a positive difference in my physical tremors and emotional well-being and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your videos are currently my relaxation time where I put on my candles and shut my bedroom door … away from the hustle and bustle of a single mums hectic family life. Thank you, I mean it … just for being you. I’ve found a resurgence of happiness by the simple things in life. Even as simple an action as lighting a candle has helped me smile again. X
Your very inspiring Lydia 💚 I would just like to say a massive thank you. After a traumatic loss, not that long ago, Evergreen has been such a comfort blanket for me. It has really been part of my dark days. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. 💚💚
Gosh, this was profound and extremely relatable but refreshing. Thank you for sharing your whole food practices and approach towards chemical imbalances, it is changing my life and seeing/ hearing more would be of great benefit (for example the recent bread making)! Your mindset and approach are inspiring, thank you.
Loved this - I lost my dad on a family holiday at 25 years old. You never go on vacation expecting someone won't return from it. Then, this year at 28 years old, I unexpectedly lost my mom. Hold your loved ones close, and aim for reconciliation of past hurts - once they are gone, they are gone and so is any memories you will make with them and any apologies you wish you would have said.
13:30 Great advice on grief ✨ 29:00 also relying on yourself and knowing yourself so others don’t influence who you are. 49:00 communication in relationships, bc if you can’t communicate you don’t have a relationship.

Dear Lydia, this content is so mindful and inspirational. Simply, you are an amazing person, wishing you happiness, joy, and a life filled with blessings. Thank you for sharing words of wisdom.
Lydia , I have learned that life is not a straight path. Lots of things happen that we can’t control. Each day if you wake up, you are blessed… My mom who has passed away used to tell me that if you have your health you can do anything. It took me years to finally understand that. Wealth is health! Soooo true. ❤️
Thank you Lydia for such a powerful and inspiring video. So many areas you touched on I could relate to and your advice was heartwarming and honest. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us.
My grandfather passed away almost 2 years ago, at the blessed age of 93. I can still hear him giggling in my head. It is the best medicine for my grief. 🤍
I had been waiting to watch this when I could really focus and listen. It’s a quiet Saturday afternoon and the perfect time. Wow, that was inspiring and I have so many thoughts. I loved it ❤
I agree with you Lydia about the anxiety can be either self induced or chemical, which is called hormone induced. This type of anxiety can occur due to fluctuations in hormones, such as during menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, or thyroid imbalances. Hormonal anxiety is distinct from self-induced anxiety, which is anxiety brought on by thoughts, stress, or external factors rather than changes in the body's chemistry. For example, hormonal changes affecting estrogen, progesterone, or cortisol levels can contribute to feelings of anxiety. Us women have to go through a lot! This is partially why I have left my corporate job and became a lifestyle coach. Sending lots of love to everyone ❤
My uncle suffered a very unexpected heart attack in the April just gone and unfortunately didn't make it. This is my first time experiencing grief and well... heartbreak. Loosing someone is heart breaking. And something I learnt during grief was that by tomorrow, I could be nothing. It really was a reality check. And I'm so sorry for anyone enduring grief at the moment. 5 months have gone by and I still miss and talk to him every single day. I love you Uncle Sion
Thank you for writing evergreen I love it.i listened to in my car on my long journeys, I was sad when I got to the end so I'm gonna listen to it again .keep being you ❤
You are spot on, Lydia. Things like antibiotics (although they heal us) they also kill the good bacteria in the gut (our second brain) and this subsequently affects the brain. Probiotics definitely help this. Amongst a lot of what you mentioned…
I just want to add that I really appreciate how you highlighted that like.... making a change or putting effort into your physical health requires a certain level of mental health. Like... mental bandwidth is required to work on physical health, because, as you said, no one else is going to cook your healthy meal or make you go do a healthy activity or whatever. A lot of people don't seem to realise the two are connected. I was always at my worst physical health when I was feeling the worst mentally. And it's always when I'm thriving more that I gain the motivation to do more for my physical health. Regardless, the brain is in the body, so mental health is physical health, just like how improving your physical health can help your mental health #chemistry
Hi Lydia thank you so much for this video x I read Evergreen not long after my mum passed away she was 92, my sisters and I was her carers and the emptiness I feel and have felt cuts deep x your book is so lovely even though I cried through the chapter on loss and grief it helped x just thank you for your channel and for just being the genuine person you are ❤
Loved this Lydia and all the talk about basically personal responsibility for your goals and life and not blaming others.. really hit a nerve with me ❤
I often skip through a lot of vlogs (not just yours as I follow a lot of people!) but I watched this all. You have given me things to think about in terms of my relationship with some of my family and my friends. Communicate, communicate, communicate is my new mantra. Thank you - you are wise beyond your years 😉.
I loved what you are most proud of. What a wonderful place to be! I love this Q and A so full of lovely insights and really helpful lessons. Thank you so much Lydia!❤
This was such a help to me. Thank you, Lydia. I will try and put some of this advice into practrice. It made so much sense, especially. The 3 little questions and not giving someone the opportunity to offend me. I was always brought up to not think of myself and to always think of others and not be selfish, but it has backfired alot and hurt me. So now I will not be unkind, but try and think of myself as others haven't thought of me and put your advice into practice. On grief that is harder as I don't deal with that very well and dwell fir years x
Lydia, you are so mature and i love the way you look at life. It's very grown up. The hard journey of growth, most of us, (if open to learning), go through to grow and mature is hard but it is so so worthwhile when on the otherside. Great work!

I loved this video Lydia, thank you for sharing and being so raw and open to your own personal experiences, I stumbled onto your videos by accident many years ago in a crossroad period of my life and I found such a sense of peace watching you grow and evolve whilst I also was changing and evolving into a very different person, so in saying that. About being not offended at what people say this is so true. This video of your journey really resonates with me. Your words about kindness were so impactful. I once had someone ask me what I wanted most from life and my answer was to be kind. Hearing you express how important that is to you really hit home with me.♥️
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing . It’s so important we all do our own work on ourselves . Life is absolutely a gift and I always strive to see the beauty in eveyday. Grief definitely is a massive wake up call. Life is precious ❤
I bet you could make a selection of very beautiful accessories for your own shop and that people would love them. Then you could branch out to sweater patterns and linen blouses with little details that only you could have thought of. That Pearl bracelet as a mock watch chain was brilliant. You could definitely do more and make a clothing brand.
I have a tiny TH-cam channel, and I have had negative comments, I just thanked them, but another viewer chimed in and told this negative comment person that they were rude. I do like all of your advice and positive messages in your videos.❤
I am pretty sure people nowadays need more of your books. At the same time they want to learn from scratch a lot of things like gardening, cooking, tips and tricks on a lot of practical things. You will have something important to share again.
I find myself so proud of this video for you. I confess I'm a bit of a silent follower. But I do want to say thank you because your chanel and this video has existed very much in parallel to my own growth and it's made me feel a sense of kinship that I cherish, despite having never met. ❤
Thank you for such interesting video, the section about mortality and gratitude really made me pause and think.❤ One piece of feedback- if I may - we are not always responsible for the reality around us. I know you approached this topic from an empowering intention and it is something that can be helpful in healthy situations. However scenarios such as poverty, racism, domestic abuse, any traumatic experience really - those types of scenarios cannot be dealt in the same way and really need to be acknowledged a little differently. Not a criticism, just something to share here as I have heard the phase “I am responsible for how I feel” used a lot of coaching and my answer to it, from a therapy lens always is “yes and no”. ❤

Which is 🥵🤯🥶 when happening at same time) but when it's on a low ish level it really helps me to open up my chest breath in & out max 5x deep & thinking: "this too shall pass like the flu " & when I don't have any I think this a few times a week so I train my brain.
Hope this can help you
❤ from 🇧🇪
Check your levels could be lacking in something that contributes to anxiety ❤
You can tangibly feel both the pain but also the deep sense of gratitude you have gained in going through it 🤍
So sorry for your losses 🩷🌸🩷
Lydia, you are truly wise beyond your years. It sounds like you’ve really learned from your life experiences, both positive and negative, and you have used your knowledge to become the person you are proud of. This video was very insightful and thought-provoking, and I think it will help so many people. Thank you for being open & vulnerable and for sharing your thoughts & feelings with us.
I enjoyed your chat - especially your natural makeup, no jewelry, etc. look to just be your true self speaking to us. I think Carrie and Ali keep you grounded and are your biggest cheerleaders 👍❤️
Thank you so much!
My favorite content that you have ever put out! Thank you for showing us you after you found her!!! 😘 BEAUTIFUL
This means the world. Thank you for staying with me x
Hi Lydia, you are absolutely right about the fact that food influences our moods and health symptoms 😊
My Pilates instructor and teacher recommended me “The Food Mood Connection - an indispensable guide to the surprising foods that fight depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, ADHD and more” by Dr Uma Naidoo. The book was awakening for me, but thank God that I still have sustainable food sources (my parents).
I like when I see you gardening and you are an inspiration to me. You already have healthy habits, not only you do morning walks and Pilates sessions, but you also eat from good sources ❤
Thank you,
Cristina from Romania ❤
Ohhh I’m going to check that out
I never take the time to comment on your videos not because I don’t like them the opposite. I do love your videos all of them, but I will have to take this moment to let you know how much I appreciate it this one.❤
I appreciate that! I love hearing from you so much x
You’re such an inspiration, Lydia! Tanks a lot for the QA format, for your honesty and for the vibe ❤
Lydia, you should do your own podcast helping others about these issues. You are so good in communicating and empathizing.🙏
Your hard work and perseverance have paid off. What you have demonstrated here is growth. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Lydia,
This is a wonderful vlog for myself and many others.
13:30 Great advice on grief ✨
29:00 also relying on yourself and knowing yourself so others don’t influence who you are.
49:00 communication in relationships, bc if you can’t communicate you don’t have a relationship.
Needed this video today. Have been watching you for 10 years…You are such a great addition to my life. Thank you for this xx
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us via a Q&A. I'm new to your channel and really enjoyed it. You shared some beautiful life lessons and perspectives. It brightened my day! 💕
Dear Lydia, this content is so mindful and inspirational. Simply, you are an amazing person, wishing you happiness, joy, and a life filled with blessings. Thank you for sharing words of wisdom.
Just listened to this twice through and happily would again
So honest and thought provoking
Would love more of these Q&As
Thank you!
Lydia , I have learned that life is not a straight path. Lots of things happen that we can’t control. Each day if you wake up, you are blessed…
My mom who has passed away used to tell me that if you have your health you can do anything. It took me years to finally understand that. Wealth is health! Soooo true. ❤️
Health truly is wealth x
Thank you Lydia for such a powerful and inspiring video. So many areas you touched on I could relate to and your advice was heartwarming and honest. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us.
I can completely relate to the loneliness of your job. I work by myself at home full-time and the loneliness can be debilitating sometimes.
Mrs Millen Gordon, you are making this world a better place one video at a time. Love you. 💕💕💕
This is like free therapy, LOVED this video Lydia 👏🏼👌🏼
I'm glad you're doing well. I have suffered with major anxiety my entire life. I hope I can heal my anxiety too. I wish you the best Lydia.
Thank you for writing evergreen I love it.i listened to in my car on my long journeys, I was sad when I got to the end so I'm gonna listen to it again .keep being you ❤
Love you Lydia, been here with you from the very beginning and I love to see how much you have evolved. You lead as an example to me. love this video
Wow… You have no idea how much this resonates with me dearest Lydia… Thank you so much 🙏🏻😘♥️☀️
Hi Lydia thank you so much for this video x I read Evergreen not long after my mum passed away she was 92, my sisters and I was her carers and the emptiness I feel and have felt cuts deep x your book is so lovely even though I cried through the chapter on loss and grief it helped x just thank you for your channel and for just being the genuine person you are ❤
Loved this Lydia and all the talk about basically personal responsibility for your goals and life and not blaming others.. really hit a nerve with me ❤
Thanks for this video Lydia, such nuggets of wisdom. I love watching how you’ve curated a beautiful life for yourself & Ali 🤍
Loved this!!! Your truly inspirational xx
Great work!
A fantastic Q&A Lydia, so insightful & inspiring. Thank you 🙏 ❤
I am definitely learning from you Lydia, especially empathy. You are so good at this. ♥
I’ve enjoyed this sooo much! It has helped me in more ways than you could have ever imagined. God Bless you!
Hi Lydia, love to watch your personal growth journey! Can you also share some insights on how you developed and identified your personal style? Would love to see a „How to“ from you regarding this topic 😘
Thoroughly enjoyed your candid and insightful , thought provoking feedback on some very touching and relevant questions. Look forward to your enjoyable posts Lydia💝🇿🇦
Vous avez de bonnes réflexions, cela m’offre de nouvelles perspectives! Merci beaucoup belle Lydia ❤
This was very enjoyable to watch. A real mental harvest. Thank you Lydia x

💖✨👸🏻🐐
Loved this video, Lydia! Especially your last response - truly - goals. 💫
I’m delighted that you feel this way about yourself, being proud of who you are has to be the pinnacle of happiness.
I loved this Q&A, particularly as you share the tools that have aided you to live a peaceful and happy life, I’ve so benefited from this knowledge and I can honestly say that’s it’s improved my mental health - more of this please Lydia! (I have been inspired by you for a year now and this video made he create an account and subscribe) love, love, love!
Awesome 🤩… I’ve seen your growth…you are the very first person I followed on TH-cam… I’m 59 and became chronically ill at the age of fifty…never knew about TH-cam but discovered it as a way of not feeling alone because my husband had to go to work and we didn’t have children…I love Evergreen, I have it on my table in the living room and it never fails when someone comes they pick it up…blessings, prayers and love from America 🇺🇸
I just want to thank you for being such a light and a force of nature but in the most beautiful way. Keep shining bright and thank you for being a creator that I always enjoy, learn from and find a pleasure in watching.
This was an enjoyable listen and watch. Keep evolving Lydia 🥂
I didn’t know I needed this but I really did thank you.❤
Beautiful answers, thank you! I love this kind of videos, please more of your thoughts Lydia! Lots of love to everyone
Thank you so much for sharing! This very insightful! ❤
Evergreen girls coffee table book, fashion, style & interiors! Yes please lovely 🌿💚
About being not offended at what people say this is so true. There is a saying that what people think of you is really none of your business and that is something I have in my mind when someone's gives me their "opinion" I love your you tube channel it brings me joy I'm a 63 year old Nana that still feels mid 30's keep on being you xx
Thank you for this video❤ Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us❤️ I love Evergreen, I listened to it 2 time and like to go back to it through the seasons. I too love the person you have become!! ❤❤
This was truly lovely. Thoughtful, full of lessons, honest, vulnerable, sweet, genuine...just lovely. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Now...we need to see some Porty toe beans!!!!
This video of your journey really resonates with me. Your words about kindness were so impactful. I once had someone ask me what I wanted most from life and my answer was to be kind. Hearing you express how important that is to you really hit home with me.♥️
I loved this video! You are inspirational! You should be proud ❤
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing . It’s so important we all do our own work on ourselves . Life is absolutely a gift and I always strive to see the beauty in eveyday. Grief definitely is a massive wake up call. Life is precious ❤
This was fresh and lovely. Your perspective on our lives not being limitless is timely. Thanks dear.
You are such a beautiful soul Lydia ❤️❤️❤️ I look forward to your videos every week. Keep doing you, you are amazing ❤️❤️
Dear Lydia, I just wanted to say thank you. Your outlook on life has changed my life immeasurably ❤
So inspirational Lydia! Thank you ❤
I am pretty sure people nowadays need more of your books. At the same time they want to learn from scratch a lot of things like gardening, cooking, tips and tricks on a lot of practical things. You will have something important to share again.
Really loved this q and a Lydia thanks for sharing.x
I find myself so proud of this video for you. I confess I'm a bit of a silent follower. But I do want to say thank you because your chanel and this video has existed very much in parallel to my own growth and it's made me feel a sense of kinship that I cherish, despite having never met. ❤
Thank you for such interesting video, the section about mortality and gratitude really made me pause and think.❤
One piece of feedback- if I may - we are not always responsible for the reality around us.
Interesting point of view, thank you for sharing x
No matter what has happened in the past ‘I am responsible for how I feel’ in the present.
Standing in ones own power is true power, loved everything about this,
I might have to book mark some of this stuff. Love it so much. Thank you guys. ❤
