@@NerosCinema Team balancing is EXACTLY the best way to do it I just wish they had made default 8v8. This helps with the focus on TB instead of SBMM (It's how BF managed without SBMM for a decade+ - the team size, I could explain but, work it out, you're smart 'enough') 2042 only removed the server browser and implemented SBMM in 2042 due to crossplay - mixing input methods - it's simply not possible to NOT have SBMM in that scenario. Unless they made AA not AA but AB!

No SBMM is what got me into this game. I know I'm still gonna have bad lobbies, but at least, it won't be decided by a fkn algorithm in the pre lobby. In cod, you do good ONE game and the next ten lobbies are the worst, then you have one more good game and then you start going against sweats again. You always have more bad lobbies than good lobbies because the algorithm is always there, waiting for you to do good in a single lobby so it can match you with sweats for a while.

2. When did I say I wanna play against easy players? I literally said "I know I'm still gonna have bad lobbies" I just don't want that to be decided by SBMM as soon as I do good in a game. Are you trying to defend that garbage SBMM or what? Let me guess, you are one of those that are protected by it, right. Of course all games use some kind of algorithm, but Xdefiant won't use an algorithm as strict as SBMM.
I'm excited to play an FPS game WITHOUT SBMM. Definitely going to check this one out.

A concept that seems lost on the modern day "dev".
Imagine getting in a game you’ve only got 30 minutes to play a game and it’s one-sided. What are you do oh that’s right just quit imagine joining a game and you’ve only got 30 minutes and the game is close. You don’t have four guys there pros on one team and a bunch of Joe’s on the other, none of those situations were the game is not even close are fun whether they’re winning team or losing team. One percent of the player base plays more than a half an hour a day.
If it feels like BO1 in terms of matchmaking, Im in.

B01 was a military small arena shooter. This looks full on cartoon-arcade shooter with bunny hopping, hero abilities, whacky skins, etc.

There's a whole generation of COD players who have no idea what it's like to play a game without SBMM. They're going to love it and they don't even realise. Imagine how they're going to feel when they play XDefiant, and then go back to COD!

There was a glitch In one of the more recent COD that saw the Algorithm turn off for a short period of time, and the player numbers just shot up for that time. No one like these Algorithm except thin skin cardboard fort player who need some to virtue single about.

I do think it probably won’t do well it missed its best time frame plus I’llbe honest when I played it I wasn’t a fan of it but I appreciate the no sbmm at least

Still blows my mind that there's even an argument for SBMM in casual playlists for any game, it literally means that your session's outcomes were practically determined by some algorithm instead of your actual skill at that time.
What you don’t realize is the majority of the people that play cod didn’t even know what sbmm is. “The F sbmm” narritives is spoken loudly by a very small group. The internet crowd does not represent the masses.

Who would have thought we needed matchmaking blogs to clarify how it works. It used to be a no brainer that you were matched based on latency and team balanced afterwards
All the xDefiant talk is making me a bit excited for the launch again though. Hopefully its good fun and I want to support them for the whole SBMM discussion alone

@xxPhoenixX-sg9tr listen man in my opinion the gun play and map design was tits! Only issue was servers for me but that's totally fixable! Gotta give them credit because this is their first pvp arena style shooter! Not bad for your first game

It's going to be interesting to see how Activision reacts to this. If enough of the player base leaves, and is vocal about why, maybe Activision will rethink their SBMM/EOMM bullshit.
That’s not going to happen 😂😂😂 anyone who leaves because of SBMM was barely playing and probably not spending money on bundles. Plus most of their money comes from warzone. If they lose 10,000 players to SBMM but their earnings don’t drop then who cares? Now they have cod mobile generating more money
Genuinely relieved to try out a new FPS that I might actually have fun in.
It's unfortunately even worse than Skill Based Match Making. SBMM would balance teams or group people roughly the same level, and connection wouldn't be outright ignored. It's EOMM where they rig/stack the lobbies, and manipulate game factors like: damage, spawns, etc.

That's what ppl have been saying for years now about Cods Sbmm and it's 100% true! Sbmm makes the game bad repetitive and not casual it's all ranked play. I'm done with Cod been done for over a year now.
BO3 was like this. They also had a lobby leader board that showed everyone's stats, kd and spm
Call me a cynic, but I fear xdefiant will have a much smaller, more hardcore player base and this won’t make that much of a difference. Seems like they’re really trying to market to us cod tryhards and if you have a player base full of sweats lobbies might be sweaty anyways
Sweats will go to ranked when it releases, and if they don’t who cares. Getting stomped is apart of learning fps gaming
Then you're gonna get stomped just like when you picked up a cod game for the first time in the x360 days. Eventually you will get good enough that you'll be the one doing the stomping yourself. You will feel yourself getting better at the game, your KD and WL will increase, and there'll be no algorithm to punish you for popping off.

I still don't think XDefiant lasts more than a few months. But I will say it's nice to hear the constant communication from the dev team. Hope this game proves me wrong and can actually be a viable competitor to COD. That would benefit us all!

Literally the first paragraph is what I've been saying for years. I'm glad XDefiant actually gets that at least.
One of the big problems for me was there wasn't anything to give me the dopamine that cod gives. Now that they have some competition, I can go chill and enjoy the grind of a less sweaty fps after Grinding cod
When you finally realize that CoD is rigging every single match, every outcome, to the point where you’re just the player on rails there is no more dopamine hit. Yes, you can over and under perform but only to a degree. If you’re trying to play it will not let you fail and if your good it treats you like dog shit until you have enough losses. CoD is by no means a competitive game anymore.

@@Doyenn I agree. I only play because my kids talked me into getting MW2.0, then MW3.0 for zombies. We didn’t play much zombies the first few months of the game, all MP. They finally gave up a few months ago. I haven’t played MP in a few months myself. All of season 3 I’ve only played zombies to grind camos. My kids will play with me and I also grind their accounts. I always have perks if I rotate them. I will try to play MP to get a challenge done but I’m so used to zombies that MP is impossible. Every time it’s 1 game and it gets turned off.
When I got MW2.0 I hadn’t played since BO2. I knew a good 10+ that really wanted me to get the game. For most of them it was their first time back in years too. All of them have seen the game for what it is now and have walked away from it for good. I caught onto what the game was doing pretty quickly. Even those that doubted me eventually came around and realized they were being controlled by the game.
@@chriswilliams9069yeah I also gain zero dopamine by beating up on clearly less skilled players than myself. Killing people who clearly aren’t on my aim level or map knowledge level isn’t fun. I can go to a bot lobby for that in cod. I play multiplayer games for a challenge of other people. What’s the point of a multiplayer game if I only play against people worse than me?
@chriswilliams9069 I got two more cods in my wallet b4 I quit the franchise for good, since i have a little faith in treyarch. I honestly should've taken a break after mw19, which I hated, cold war was decent but was ruined with sbmm, and the ones after that weren't worth it imo. I don't play warzone, so traditional 6v6 is the only thing I play for. I hope im wrong, but sadly, I don't think I'll ever experience a cod as great as bo2 again.
I haven’t played xdefiant at all yet but I already have it downloaded on my PlayStation and can’t wait to try it out
Straight up: I think PART of the "this game is too sweaty" problem is because - more players are actually good now. They play WAAAAY more games. They study. Watch videos. And try to win EVERY game like their life depends on it.

Still did get head shot sniper hitmarkers on xdefinded after a few games so there is a match making something on this game
I wouldn't mind the KD matchmaking like what was in world war II cuz I never really tried hard enough to really get it high so my matchmaking will be really random when it's low

They need to add killstreaks or something similar to it. Sometimes the gameplay can just get a bit repetitive. Just praying the net code is better now.

@@toptiertech7291 it doesn’t have to be the same formula that cod uses. Just something to do other than your standard gunfights. Cod has killstreaks, titanfall has titans, battlefield has vehicles and destructible environments, XDefiant doesn’t really have anything besides the timed abilities which are not super game changing.
@@Indacouchh those abilities can be game changing if used correctly. Just like over watch. It’s a team game. But other games should try killstreaks. It gives you something to play for. Otherwise you could get 10 kills in a row and then what? It’s an arcade shooter. You need rewards
It's going to be interesting if when the game first launches, it's mostly just hardcore players and each match still feels like a sweat pit. It's only going to feel like how CoD used to feel once a larger, more casual fan base joins Xdefiant.
And THIS is what people don’t get. But also playing a multiplayer game because you can face lower skilled players instead of it being better is pretty sad
@@toptiertech7291 Yeah if I had to guess, I don't think it's going to feel like classic CoD in terms of matchmaking at first. Maybe later on. It would be nice to have mixed lobbies like how it used to be. Not a lobby full of clones of yourself where you go about 1:1, or a lobby where everyone is bad.
I don't mind being in sweaty lobbies, but I notice in my case as an "average" player (or at least I think I am idk my KD in warzone, don't know how to check) I get sweatier WZ lobbies more often than not. My first game is usually easier, then the very next game is blender town for the next 4-5.
I just wish netcode was better in MW3 because I'm tired of losing fights I shouldn't be. I'll give XDefiant a try because it's different. Hopefully it's cool.

I tell my kids all the time, I would rather constantly have a .7kd in a game without EOMM rather than having a 1.0kd and having to constantly predict how the game is going to manipulate me next. At least I will know where I stand. It gives me an actual purpose to focus on. CoD, to me, is nothing but a camo grind. The people I’m play against are irrelevant. I’m only fighting against the game itself.
I have 3 accounts because of my two kids. There is a huge skill gap between us. Stats all have the same KD. My 12yo stopped playing all together months ago because even he realized no matter how much better he’s getting he can’t actually improve. The matches just get worse to play and it hates when you actually do win.
SBMM or not, trash players will be trash and the sweats will be sweats. Let the best man win🤷🏾♂️

The inconvenient truth is that the community ruins the game more than the Devs. MWIII is a damn good game when your lobby isn’t overrun by players that play 10 hours a day.
SBMM/EOMM is trash but i understand it’s implemented to protect the casuals that spends lots of money on shop bundles.
The % of sweaty players that infest the community now is insane. That’s part of the reason why the older CODs played better. The community was far more casual then. We played for fun and to relax. The monetization of gaming and social media has made it so now a majority of players now play to get popular on social media or feel some sense of accomplishment for being good at games. The fun aspect has taken a back seat. Disbanding lobbies and voice chat bans has also ruined things as well.
So many are falling for this “no SBMM” talk. It’s going to be just as sweaty and competitive as COD. We will not notice a difference.

@@richardfowler6969 it wont eliminate the sweats but it may just reduce the number of players who cave in due to frustration mid game.
The issue with SBMM in cod is that the system isnt really based on skill.
In practice you will notice that once your skill level rises the only thing that really changes drastically is the amount of corner camping MNK players, the levels of semtex/stun spam and the usage of riotshields meta smgs and shotguns.
Since every cod loby more or less feels the same after passing a certain ''skill ceiling'' many players eventually cave in and use the metas themselves i bet that 80% of all seasoned cod players have atleast one op loadout on standby should they go on an extended losing streak
Finally someone who gets it and what sad is that Nero wont even acknowledge it that that alone should be telling.
Whenever I get a "movement god" in my lobby, I bust out the trusty 725. That usually stops them in their tracks. 🤣
I basically always solo que games as I don’t run with friends and squads all the time. My KD is around 1.5 so that usually means I get squad fills with kids that don’t play that much or are lower KD and SBMM is trying to overcompensate. But the problem is that SBMM goes out the window when you have a loaded squad of sweaty teammates. So while SBMM is helping me load into games with an “evenly split team” I’m getting slammed by the good teams. Then the rare occasion I get a good squad, it just means that the lobby I’m in is insanely sweaty. So basically it ruins the experience for the majority of people like me just trying to enjoy a couple hours of gaming every night

Solo queue is going to be peak! One of my major problems with COD is that when I solo queue it always match me with 6 stacks, 5 stacks, etc. having them matching you against your party size is peak, that means solo queue is going to be so much fun as well.
Inb4 xdefiant release. Reckon this is also gonna drive people crazy the way they matchmake on this game.

I’ve been a 14 to 1.7 kd player since BO2…. I play cod every year. Something is seriously wrong with the SBMM in this game. I play MW22 I’ll average 1.3 kd every game.

Im so hyped for this game. Last time I played a cod game heavily was bo3. Hopefully this has that old cod feel similar to bo2 and the other og cods. Im looking forward to xdefiant listening to their community instead of catering to the new players who only touch the game a few times a month.

I wouldn't mind a little SBMM if it didn't constantly make the game feel rigged.
In CoD4 I remember an S&D match on Overgrown where I dropped 22 kills and we lost, but I thoroughly enjoyed the game regardless.
In MW 2022 whenever I had a good game, normally about halfway through I'd realize it just wasn't my turn to win and no matter how good I did, it'd be a loss, which made the entire experience feel bad.
All XDefiant needs to do is be fun and casual, every other game rigs things so it just needs to be different.
FPS games need SBMM, too many sweaty nerds thinking they're gonna be the next eSports pro. Little Timmys won't be playing or buying and neither will the old heads (which is who spends da money). Most FPS games though have EOMM. Apex COD ect

This sounds excelent. I know if you think about it, we're just celebrating the fact they are doing things the way that used to be standard, but welcome to gaming in 2024. We as consumers have been bend over more and more by publishers, so it's good to see that we actually get something that we want for once.

I know this game has had its issues and a lot of people aren’t hyped for it but tbh simply because it doesn’t have SBMM I’m hyped for it and I’ll play it a lot just to enjoy a causal non sweat fest of a game
I played every single CoD up from MW 2009 until MW2(2022). I barely touch Mw19. Cold war just focused on zombies more than anything, Vangaurd was ok. I consider myself an above average player and since sbmm uses overall CoD account my lobbies automatically were sweaty and put into the 70-80 ping range when normally i'm in 40-60 range in most games. Recently hopped into BO4 on ps5 and got lobbies way faster and the experience was so different and FUN. Like most, i like a challenging match here and there but not a CDL world championship each gun fight.
So.. this Warface 2.0 just how the way the gameplay is.
I also feel in xdefint there's no reward factor to go to on a high streak because there is no kill streaks
Since BO1 I've just used uav/counter/advanced uav in every cod. Just more info for more gun kills. Killstreaks aren't fun, they are for noobs lol use your gun and call in support streaks like a mannnnn 😂

Actually, the hunger to play this game is high! Even though I think it's going to be a slow start, I do think they can build a solid player base in the long run!

They should just have a camo grind Playlist where you can't use guns you have already maxed out. Always thought that would be a sweet way to do it
There are many guns where you can only get camos once the gun is max level
@@TheHonoredOne915 I'm saying that once you fully max out said weapon (Interstellar & Prestige camos) you would no longer be allowed to use that weapon in the playlist.
Hopping for a team rumble type mode 25 v25 first to 100 kills win . Would be nuts lol.
SBMM is the carrot on the stick. Cheating is exponentially the bigger problem they want nobody talking about. Cheating is why popular FPS PvP are in the gutter.
i feel like them announcing SBMM not being in the game is deflecting from the other probs this game will have.. it wont matter if the game doesn't work!
Knowing that my matches aren’t curated wins/losses by some secret algorithm is what I’m looking forward to the most. Each casual match is organic and real, that’s what matters.

Activision set XDefiant up for NA easy success by enforcing SBMM and disbanding lobbies for so many years lmao. I'm all for it.
The team balancing is fine but I don’t see why it can’t be completely random once everyone is in the lobby
They need to add a free for all mode.
So XDefiant is gonna play like old school CoD.
The funny thing is that disbanding lobbies are all the proof you need for EOMM. You don’t need disbanding lobbies for SBMM because they’re balanced, with no need to rebalance.
The only reason CoD has disbanding lobbies is because the matchmaking is adapting to your performance in real time. That’s EOMM.

Tbh, SBMM in MW3 seems to be turned down. With some new weapons I use, I can now maintain a 2+ KD, while my overall KD is about 1.6. This was definitely not the case a couple of months ago...

Ya I think people forget the 1st month of a new COD was very sweaty but also very nooby bc people were going for master prestige ranking up guns etc. but end of the day I’d rather have mixed games instead of oh I play noobs and do well not trying then next 5 games in playing die hard try-hards etc. but still fun year XD and BO6. I get bored of XD I go play BO6. SBMM annoying me vice versa
