    Hi im a physiotherapy student,just to clarify, so the MLPP for the radiohumeral joint is in two positions? One in full extension as shown in the distraction of the radiohumeral joint and one approx at 45 degrees of flexion for the pa glide?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sharp! The second one we show is for the proximal radioulnar joint and not the radiohumeral joint.
      There is only one MLPP for the radiohumeral joint and it's in full extension and 5° supination.
      The MLPP for the humeroulnar joint is 70° of flexion and 10° of supination.
      The MLPP for the radioulnar joint is 70° of elbow flexion and 35° of supination.

      You can add translations yourself by clicking on the cogwheel on the bottom right and then "add subtitles".
      This way other Turkish speaking followers will be able to see turkish subtitles.

    Hi, for the radial and ulnar divation on the humerus. May I know which hand is giving the divation force, the one on the humerus or the one on the forearm?

  • @joannnair5759
    @joannnair5759 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks Kai and Andreas, for always sharing very useful videos! :) they are always really informative. I would like to ask, for the radial deviation, should it be abduction/valgus force, instead of an adduction/varus force, and for ulnar deviation, vice versa?

      Are you talking about the wrist? Maybe check out our videos on that

    Hi, what's the purpose of joint play?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To examine end-feel (pathological vs. normal). Not really reliable though

  • @shailkumarjain
    @shailkumarjain 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    if joint play are only used to assess the issues in the patient ?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In case of pain or a limitation in range of motion you are using joint play to assess if there is a capsular limitation.

    Can i use this exercise for stiff elbow joint cause by stroke ???

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joint Play movements are physiological. For joint stiffness you'd rather opt for roll-glide mobilizations though I'd assume the stiffness comes from hypertonia due to the upper motor neuron lesion
