The amount of character development Loki has had, remember this is the 2012 version. He saw everything that happened to him, he is reasoning with HERself with the multiverse hanging in the balance.
It’s incredible to see that Sylvie is like Loki was in the first Thor, blinded by dispair and anger, while Loki open up his eyes and changed (with a quick session of tough psychotherapy by Mobius). When he said to Sylvie « i’ve been where you are », it’s amazing, so true. My, that’s such a character’s growth. The 2 are great actors but Tom Hiddleston is so good when it’s time to show emotions

Looking back, I don't think the Loki finale was that great of an episode. But this moment really was fantastic. Such an important scene for Loki's character development, and how far he's come. The only reason he decided to come on this quest is because he wanted to be with Sylvie --- and I think ultimately, she realized that and that's why she chose to send him away rather than try to kill him. She realized he was trying to protect her and doing what he believed to be right. It just didn't align with what she wanted, and she needed him out of the way.
This is the most romantic fight scene. Having to fight the one you love but all the while not really wishing to hurt each other and Loki ends it by putting himself on the line. Just putting himself, open-armed, to her blade, hoping she cares enough about him not to kill him, he pleads for her to stop and just bares his soul to her and of course this ends with her kissing him just before sending him away, breaking his heart. It's something you'd see in a fanfic

Man I loved this episode. Great introduction to Kang the Conqueror and the actors that played Loki and slyvie did phenomenal in this scene. You could see how much Slyvie has been preparing her whole life to get revenge on Kang. Hope we get to see more of her!

I loved Loki and Sylvie’s chemistry! Though it is debateable about the self-love and variant thingy, I still feel there is something much more about Sylvie which could be revealed in Season 2.
Kang needs to be put on the right lvl of horror. He is powerful beyond imagination. He created the universe in his image basically because it was in the way he wanted. He wrote everything or basically near the possible reveal of the MCU version of god and controlled the narrative. Maybe he’s not physically powerful as Odin or thanos but if you wrote the battle in your favor or know everything he is going to do and timeskipped to the win. It’s almost the same thing
Ah this moment is so much more than the MCU deserves, who would've thought Loki would be the one on the heroes' journey out if everyone. I guess anyone who actually read Norse myth and knows he came to put a stop to the illusion of Valhalla, because he found his love after death. He's another Orpheus but Sylvie couldn't accept herself and let her rage disappear. Now it's her journey, but Loki is still kicking as an enlightened hero. Season 2 and hopefully the next phase will be great. This will be the real Ragnarok, not the nice motif parody we got, which was also fantastic. I love it though, that Loki died a hero in the physical MCU, now his self before his redemption is proving it beyond the physics of time and space that he's a true hero at the final hour (or is he?). Thor technically made it to the same point beyond eternity and turned back so at least Taika kept the brothers on a collision course for the final arc.

I think Sylvie was right to give people free will. But Loki being worried about doing the right thing, and too terrified to potentially doom the multiverse to war, is amazing character development. They believe they are in control of their destiny, AND MORE SO, that being in control of one's destiny is the most fulfilling thing someone can do. But at the same time, a rogue's goal to do that is always at odds with forces trying to push them down, restrain them and stop then from achieving what they thing is right and just and proper. Looking turning away from that, and wanting to prevent unimaginable death, by disallowing free will, is amazing... Characters are at their best when their ideals and values are tested. And what they will and *will not* give up. Looking being willing to give up free will as an ideal, speaks to the kind of person he is. A coward. And one who genuinely does care for others, even if caring for others always gets him hurt.
