Why God isn't answering your prayer?

- God holds the whole world in his hands, and he works out everything for the good of those that love him. (Romans 8:28) Now here is the catch... What we view as good isn't always what God views as good. Our purpose on earth is to believe in Jesus, spread His name, and give Him glory in everything we do. That is God's will for our lives. How, where, and when we do this is not up to us, but rather up to God. We can experience comfort knowing that God has already worked out our whole lives for us.

David, this is something I've made peace with very recently. For so many years, I was angry at my friends from places like The Woodlands who seemed to have it made. It took 7 years after graduating, but I'm finally using my Economics degree in my line of work. And it seems like my financial situation will only go up from here.

I am a Catholic Christian. I have same sex attraction, but I live celibate. I'm very happy.
You know, I actually think about eternal life in a selfish way. I just want to go with Him now because I can't stand a world full of evil, and very apart from Him. A world that does not care. And I closed myself to share about Him because I don't want to get insulted, confronted, or even killed. I'm stuck in this fear for months, and I know that, if I'm in fear, then eternal life with Christ would not be my place. I thought of making videos too. Maybe that could help me, but I don't know. I want so many things. To put it in a illustration, I feel like Jonah when he refused to go and do God's will, or like Jeremiah, tired of talking to the unfaithful Israel. What do I do?
