If it feels like it's burning, you probably didn't wash your hands properly or the contacts or both. You could have hurt your eyes for a long period.

There might also be a tiny bit of dust or idk anything really! The tiniest speck of dirt can be insanely painful!
You dont really need these solutions, keeping them in cold water is just fine.

I wear actual contact lenses instead of glasses (not coloured) and the reason they were all having problems was because no one told them how to do it properly! That is not how you put in and take out lenses! If they did it properly it would be quick, easy and simple!

hey! I got contacts today, how do you know if you put your contact in backwards, I put in my left contact and it hurts slightly, but I don't think I should take it out.
+Sarah bamberger if you put the contact in inside out then you will probably see the glare of lights and it might feel a little awkward sitting on your eye. Before you put your contact in make sure the sides point straight upward and not flare. If it flares you need to flip it the other way. If your contact hurts your eye, take it out and rinse it with contact solution and start over

Wow. This is horrifying to watch for someone who has to wear glasses and contacts. The reason they are hurting them so bad is because they kept dropping them and getting their makeup all over them. That means the contacts had dust/dirt/makeup residue all over them. Yes, I'm sure they rinsed them with solution (I hope), but as a contact user I know that doesn't get everything off. This was painful to watch.

I wear circle lenses for cosplaying and this made me really stressed out.. They had makeup, dust and germs all over them and didn't clean them after losing them. I believe you should soak the lens in contact solution for at least 8 hours before using them :/ and if they fall, rinse with contact solution to avoid bacteria in the eye.

u did it wrong... you're supposed to leave them overnight soaking in contact lens solution in a contact lens case, and then use your middle finger to stretch the bottom of your eyelid, look up and then put the contact in. if the contact falls put it back into the contact solution. always make sure the contact is wet and not dry also make sure that there is no fun or makeup on your face or hands or the contact. I have the blue cat eye contacts and I also have them in yellow. I am using the blue ones for my Tim Burton's Cheshire cat Halloween costume.

I'm 11 and I was saying in my head "even I didn't have that much trouble the first time I ever tried to put in my contacts". It was like all the way over in her eye. I lowkey died when I saw that. But I think they haven't tried to put contacts in before so I don't want to say they did a super bad job.

Thought the same, but maybe it is harder because it is NOT transparent, unlike a normal contact. With a normal contact, it is like you barely see it, but with a colored one you see a huge ass pink dot coming to get you. I kinda would freak out a little too if it was the first time.

Putting on contacts like the third girl is not safe, it could squeeze into the side completely hiding the contacts pushing it further to the back...(same with the middle one trying to slide it to the side to take it off) that would require surgery to remove it. ;_; Good lawd.
to take it off, softly pinch the contacts and it will pull off naturally.

I'm wearing contacts tomorrow the steps for contacts are:
1) wash your hands
2) clean the contacts
3) place the contact on your finger
4) pull your eyelid down
5) look up of to the right
6) place the contact on the white part of your eye
7) blink to center the contact
8) close your eyes for a little bit to get used to it
9) rock your new look because you now know how to put in contacts

The reason why it hurts is because it's been touched with dirty hands since you tried to put it several times. It takes practise. The first time i wasn't able to do it too. But now since i have to wear them everyday i can put them wothout any blink.

I don't know how it is in america, but in Vienna you use a liquid to store the lenses and another one to clean them before putting them on. Maybe thats why it burned, because they didn't clean lenses before, because the liquid to store them burns and you have to wash it out before.

I love this video, I have watched it way too much. I love watching you guys try to put them in. I know its hard for the first few trys, and then it gets easy. I can now put contacts in without a mirror, with very little trouble, but I will forever remember the tough times.

i can literally put my lenses on and off with out a mirror.. and if the lense hurts when you put it on it usually means that the lenses is flipped the wrong way or your hands were dirty.
also costume lenses aren't fitted to your eye like vision lenses are so they will feel big.

Joslyn you're hilarious! 😂 I watched this while studying for my college final in the library. People must of thought I was crazy because I was trying to hold in my laugh
They psyched themselves out too much. It's not that scary, they can be a little painful at times but it didn't take me that long to learn.
The reason they should put the lenses on BEFORE makeup is so that they don't get makeup all over the lens from their fingers like that - I can't imagine how much grit and gunk would be on those from the false lashes and glue and mascara and shadow and ... OUCH. No wonder it hurts... they should be properly rinsed each time they touch something that isn't their eyeball, or else it is just picking up crap from whatever it was on to deposit right onto your eyeball with the lens - which of course, then is going to mash it in even more uncomfortably if you successfully insert it at that point. No way I'd ever attempt to put my lenses in while wearing false lashes and tons of makeup like that. if I had to reinsert them, it would be a matter of taking off all the makeup first just to start with a clean area around the eye and fingers to begin with. then redo the stuff after the lens is in again. Getting bits of mascara or lash fiber in there is NOT a fun way to start the day....

+UpRoaryus I wear contacts for cosmetic reasons only, and I HATE when I start putting my makeup on and realize that I've forgotten to put my lenses in. If they were prescription, that probably wouldn't happen (because I'd notice that everything was blurry. LOL) But I'll usually just stop, sanitize my hands, and pop them in. If I've already done my eye makeup, the contacts are getting skipped that day. Putting them in after is just a crazy concept to me.

I've been wearing contacts since my early teen years, and yes, they are really hard to get the hang of at first, but now I put them in in about 10 seconds maybe even less. Colored contacts are a bit harder, but once you get the hang of it they are super fun and real easy to manage.

From the time I first watched this video I had glasses.
Then a few months later I spent 2 hours putting in purple contacts. (and only 5 minutes taking them out)
Then a few more months later I got actual contacts and immediately could put them in.
And now that I know what I know about contacts, I wish I had never rewatched this video...
I'd love to have different colored eyes,but the thought of putting things in my eye is giving me the willies.
You guys must have great eyesight if you've never had contacts. I've worn contacts for 15 years since I was 10.
That's not how I was told to put in regular contacts. After washing my hands, I put the contact on my right index finger, pull my top eyelid up with the index & middle fingers of my left hand, pull bottom eyelid slightly down with right middle finger, and put the contact right over the center part of the eye (the colored part of your eye). Wipe away any excess solution that may leak out like tears. No blinking to center the contact necessary. But I guess if that way works for you...
Also, I've always read that you are supposed to see the eye doctor before using any sort of colored contact lens to get the proper prescription or dimensions to make sure it will fit your eye properly.
FYI- with soft contact lenses, you are supposed to put make-up on after you put your contacts in. That way you don't have any residual dirt on your fingers and your eye make-up won't smudge.

I work at a Haunted House, and I wear contacts all of the time..I cringed so much! If you drop the contacts, you have to clean them with saline solution, if a piece of dirt or something gets in your eye, it could really damage them.
And you have to pinch the contact to get it out, your eyeball won't feel it
I think that's why it was hurting the other two's eyes. They even dropped them off the floor

You really should've added a disclaimer that wearing contacts without having been to an optometrist is super, super bad. NEVER wear any contacts before contacting a specialist. You don 't know what thickness, diameter etc. you need. And NEVER put in contacts with makeup on. And always wash hands before touching contacts or you'll get all your hand germs in your eyes. Nothing of what they are doing in the video is safe.
I may wear contacts, but I prefer glasses. Being -6 and -7, I kinda don 't have a choice and most coloured contacts don't even come in the strength I need so there's that.
And no, contacts can't "go to the back of your eye" - there is a place where the lid is attached to the eye itself so anything going to the back of your eye is impossible.

Did you check the website and make sure that the people behind it aren't eye doctors? You probably didn't so I wouldn't rule it out as a non-legitimate source because of your lack of evidence.

On top of it may or may not being a legit website. You should get your eyes checked and measured before you put some sort of object in your eyes.
buy them from your eye doctor not a random website. my doctor told me that you can get eye infections and it can result in even blindness sometimes because you don't know how they made those contacts and what's in them.

I wear them everyday and you can't even feel them. Their contacts are probably dry, dirty and from a website that isn't legit but this video is supposed to be funny and not serious anyways. But yeah contacts are scary at first but they don't hurt and they aren't a big deal.
They do not hurt. The first times may hurt. because your eyes is not used to having something on them. But you get used to them REALLY fast. You can actually see better than with glasses. They have so many pros. try them. but be careful to keep them clean. DEFINITELY consult a good doctor. It's your eyes we are talking about

These are colored contacts not prescription. Real ones you can't feel a thing
The colored contacts are thicker than regular contacts, so they sort of feel like there is an eyelash in your eye that won't get out, but i have some small ones that feel fine
I know it was your first time doing this, but you made it look much harder than it is. Sure, I had a hard time with contacts in the begging, but you guys should've practices before, and learned how to do it. And then filmed. There are things you have to do right for your own good when using contacts.
