Paying as punishment for having to go back to the van and texting is not good leadership. That mentality of ‘you could’ve made ME $4 in that time’ demonstrates a very egocentric employer who doesn’t care about their employees. I would never think about being like that with my crew. Just hire people that aren’t lazy, are good workers and fast. That way if they have to send a text, or go to the van a few times it’s not a big deal. Gotta lighten up.

Why would you not get the paint off 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I am a UK window cleaner and I would not be happy leaving a window with paint on it slacking

The blond is annoying. No honey, Utah is not the industry standard. Mop and go? How else do you clean windows that are well maintained? Row houses are highly competitive. Different game than suburban houses in the states and more akin to storefronts but it adds up I'm sure. But I would not think to be so rude to insult a market I know absolutely nothing about. Do this transfer with a New Yorker. The modern squeegee was invented here. Let's see her bid a $90,000.00 building in Manhattan.
    Thanks for posting the video.

I learnt from a Pommy window cleaner, and I can say without any fear of contradiction, they are faster, less 'messier', and more effective than anyone else on the planet! And at 73, I can make most window cleaners look like they are using a Zimmer frame on the job!

    I'm from the UK
If possible I always try to remove paint or any other stubborn marks from the glass else what's the point being a window cleaner.
I'm probably the slowest window cleaner from my city but that's because I wanna do a satisfactory job it's the best way in my opinion
Because if u have a good working reputation u get more customers that way .Iv always had people say to me how some window cleaners are done in like 10 minutes
But sometimes people will question just how good of a job they've really done .for me sometimes it takes me like 30 - 60 minutes to clean one house
Which I know is slow compared to some who probably do 3 -4 in an hour but I charge £ 10 minimum
So £10 an hour I think is Ok considering the minimum wage here in the UK is £7: 50
In regards to squeegee I use the moermon excelerator fliq combination tool which is fantastic tool to use as u don't have to worry about detailing
And swapping over tools when up a ladder. And when it comes to ladders I have the multi purpose ladder .and a ladder stand off is good to use as it pushes u away from the building then u can work better and use the squeegee better and also saves u coursing any damage to people's properties.

I don't get how the blonde American doesn't understand how we will do 12 or 13 cleans a year on one house, so we will make more money than they make off of that house if they only do a yearly clean?

Her name is Jamie.... 100 dollars is min price. US houses are super big with many windows and screens. They are probably averaging many hundreds of dollars per property. In my business yesterday I did my first US-style spring clean charging 8 times the normal rate for everything ...

Window cleaning videos I don't doubt that they make a lot of money over there, i just didn't like how she questioned how Tom can support a family, how does he live etc. When you and I know window cleaners over here can and do earn a very very good amount. I'm not being disrespectful to Jamie or her crew

Window Magic Cleaning my nephew was making $50.00 usd per hour, this is what he told me was his set price at each house. He made good money, you can support a family. Alot of these people are lazy, and don't want to work. I've been working since I was 8 years old papers, shining shoes, mowing yards . I'm 57 now retired from the Army. I'm going to start a window cleaning business. This looks like funny to me. Sub to your channel.

Her point is that she isn't interested in boring mindless work. I can relate. Also I don't get how you don't understand that you need to make 10 more trips a year in order to make that money. The most dangerous part of the job is the drive to the job site. Why would you want to increase that risk? To me it seems like window cleaning in the UK is the equivalent to running all over for loose change. I've worked with a bunch of window cleaners from Scotland and Ireland. Their's a reason they come to North America to clean windows instead of staying at home. It's because they make way more money here.

    • @Windowcleaningvideos

If you’re removing paint than it’s a builders clean essentially and that’s a different charge.. also what’s with all the ladders.. in Aus health and safety is strict on high ladder stuff. US team did seem slow. Should water pole that high stuff. Here in Aus houses are similar to US and done irregularly too. But you can earn 100-150aud hr if you know what you’re doing.

However you should not use a razor on tempered glass and most commercial windows are tempered . Reason is , is because it can scratch easy on tempered glass.

Hi Tony, I am guessing you are from the states cleaning windows for customers that have them cleaned once or twice per year. The culture, charge price and frequency of cleans and expectations are different between the US and UK, which is why we made this program. What is right in one country might not be right in another. So in the UK not taking the paint off is not a sign of a poor window cleaner.
