i've watched so many videos about how to grow wheatgrass, with soil, without soil, etc. this has to be the best and most thorough explanation that i have found yet, thank you so much! i was going to grow wheatgrass at home to feed to my guinea pigs but i think i will save some and juice it for myself after this video!
Finally found instructions that are complete. I have those trays and was following directions that came with them. That method was useless with lots of mold growth and seeds that didn’t sprout. Also wasn’t sure how much seed to use to fill a tray. Your video is the best I’ve seen for growing wheatgrass with no soil. Thank you for sharing 😊
Nice home activity. Pl also keep mentioning the timeline of the process. For ex, let us know how long it takes for each inch of growth - 5 days? 10 or 15 days? etc. Thanks.
After 7-8 days, you have to harvest because the nutrition content in the grass will reduce, also the juice will take bitter because the grass will become mature.
Thank you so much for this video! May I ask a question please? I have been growing wheat grass this way for close to a year now today something strange happened… I picked up my tray to empty the water and put freshwater in and the water was milky white, and the roots smell sour! Do I need to throw it all out? I rinsed the heck out of it as I’ve been doing all along. I don’t think it’s mold. It seems almost as though it’s rotting :((( do you have any idea what this could be?
If you get mold, you have to discard it. To prevent formation of mold, you have to wash it well preferable under running water twice a day, drain the water and place it back on the tray. I learn't this the hard way. You have mentioned, it is not mold but it's rotting. May be try a different brand organic, non gmo seed.
GREAT VIDEO MADAM🙏🙏 Mam did you use Hydrogen Peroxide to prevent mold growth? Also my grandma has cancer. She will need 4 ounces of the juice per day. Tried mixer and blender. It doesnt crush the grass blades properly and it needs water so juice gets diluted. Do you know any manual steel, hand crank juicer?
To prevent mold growth, everyday you have to water it (wash it ) under running water or plenty of water twice morning and evening. I never get those issues because of that. Cut the grass into small bits, add very less water and extract juice. Check this video on how I extract juice th-cam.com/video/FNkKstznhK0/w-d-xo.html
@@Padhus-kitchen Thank you mam! I am going for sprouting tray method. Otherwise I will require 1 kilo of soil each day. Coz due to bad wheat seeds I have been facing with mold and its killing entire trays. ★I ll try the blender method. Keep up doing healthy videos🙏🙏🙏 May Lord Venkateshwara bless you!!!🛕🛕🛕
U say it must be consumed immediately after harvest. Then how to keep those non harvest wheatgrass? Like u say it will continue to grow & become less nutrition, if i keep it for next 2 or 3 days? Can i harvest & keep them in fridge?
When you harvest you have to harvest that batch. If you keep it for 2 or 3 days it is not an issue. This post is about growing wheat grass in a tray without soil. Kindly watch the whole video below on more details. th-cam.com/video/FNkKstznhK0/w-d-xo.html www.padhuskitchen.com/2017/05/wheat-grass-how-to-grow-wheat-grass-at.html
After harvest it will grow but not fit for consumption as the leaves will become mature and the juice will be a little bitter. Also you will get less juice. So you have to compost that and start afresh.
Compost it. You cannot use it because the grass will become rough and the nutrients will get reduced. So you will not get enough juice and the juice will also taste a little bitter.
No extra show off so simple smart n precise video u have made .iv seen numerous videos for this but ur video has been the BEST 👍

Good job, can i use this method until the plant produces a grain.
I have an experiment on barley plant and i need to grow barley without soil
I don't think so. The plant needs nutrition. Anyway you can try.

Very good video. Thank you but one question where do you buy your wheatgrass seeds?
It is just organic whole wheat.
When you wrap the 1/2 cup of seeds in the damp cloth, do the wheatgrass seeds require darkness to germinate?
Yes

Any tips on how to get mold out of it?
I have mentioned it in the video. Washing it well is the only solution.
After harvest will the wheat grow again for harvest or should we remove and start afresh
After harvest it will grow but not fit for consumption as the leaves will become mature and the juice will be a little bitter. Also you will get less juice. So you have to compost that and start afresh.
After you harvest the wheat ( that is cut it)..what is to be done with the balance roots and grass?
Compost it. You cannot use it because the grass will become rough and the nutrients will get reduced. So you will not get enough juice and the juice will also taste a little bitter.
Could you feed the cats the 2nd growth? Don’t worry they get their fair share of first growth too.

Hi
👍👍
Mam how many days we need to drink this juice for improving 1 gram hemoglobin. Pls comment. It's urgent. Doctor said I need blood transfusion
Kindly consult your doctor.
Don't give too much instructions again and again. Don't repeat. You are not expert. For quality wheat grass and quantity of grass USE WHEAT NO:496
I am only sharing my personal experience.
