Amazing review Jason. Easily the best review of this power station. You basically summed up this power with all the info I need. You tested out the 12v 24v and 48v expandable batteries. You also revealed that it can take up 75v solar which is what you need for 3 panels in series. No where else can I find these information. Had to search a good review of this unit as they had an incredible sale on this machine. I already have tons power stations and just got yelled from my wife for getting a Dabbsson 1400. Buy this and get yelled later is my motto.
I like all the upgrades you found on this generator. I must caution everyone on the use of an adapter that takes a 15 amp circuit and allows you to plug in a 30 amp connection. It does NOT change the amperage allowed, so bad things can happen if you overload (over 14 amps) the adapter by trying to push above the circuits rated capacity of 15 amps. For the capacity, PV input and DC output connections this is a winner. I also have that spark issue with my Renogy 1000s and like that you have a fix. I would have liked 100 VDC on the PV input ports, as that makes getting to the advertised 600 watts easier, but having two enables me to get to at least 400 watts per port easily. Jason, showing the ability to charge the 48 volt internal battery using 48 VDC rack batteries was a great addition to the review, thank you so much. This will definitely make my wish list!
Even with the 20amp to 30 amp adapter, you'll be limited to the 2400 watts of the inverter. You couldn't push 30 amps through that adapter, the inverter won't allow it for very long.
@@Jasonoid I agree if using the 20 amp adapter you linked to, however, I was more concerned about the 15 amp adapter you also linked that is rated for only 1875 watts. There are reviews in that link, that show the adapter melting, with possible fire hazards. I wanted those people to understand the limitations. 😃
Great review, thanks. UGreen is a solid company, unlike some others they will be around to service their warranty. I think this is a good overall size for KWh, inverter capacity, and size and weight. Anything much smaller can’t run a refrigerator 24 hours and anything much bigger isn’t portable for old guys like me.
I saved the link for their website. Im coming back after work to check out that great deal. Plus they have other items that ive been looking for. Ill make sure to buy it through YOUR link. Thanks for the reviews
Great timing with the black Friday sales price this thing is ultra competitive when you look at the whole package performance/accessories/warranty in my opinion.
Great review. You are getting so efficient at going through all the tests quickly. Seems like a nice unit. I’ll have to see how it does over time. Thank you.
@@Jasonoid You are so welcome. I think I have a power station and solar panel addiction, so I love coming back and seeing what’s new. Also, I wo t buy until you review, because I trust your work. Thank you so much.
Great presentation and a ton of info succinctly voiced. This might give EcoFlow a run for its money. I love that you can connect at least 3 solar panels in series without any issues. I have the Linx solar panels that I put as a package when I knew very little about solar energy from Inergy and so far I can only use them on my Apex power bank. If my other power banks could handle the voltage that UGREEN can handle I would easily make the time and effort to get adapters or make them. Again great video.
I have bought 3 EcoFlow products and asked for refund for 3 times. They have failed in some specs or just haven't delivered their promises. Take for example EcoFlow Delta 2 Max 30 dB noise level promise - in reality the unit is 42 dB and that's a huge difference.
thanks for the excellent remark about the xt60 to xt90 charge resistor!! super useful. also since you're going deeper into testing USB ports i would love to see what kind of protocols/voltage levels are supported by newer solar generatos. drones, phones and other usb powered devices are getting picky about PD and PPS support. am learning about this myself and getting a usb analyzer (fnb58) to test my chargers and cables.
I'm actually trying to reduce the length of these videos. Each one is 30 minutes long and takes weeks to put together. I'm trying to figure out how to shorten them so I'm not sure I want to add additional information. I'll think about it.
Has some cool features and I like that the solar controllers will accept 75V (WAY better than 60V). Looks kind of big though. Looks like it's almost twice the size of my Pecron E2000LFP.
very good ac and dc idle power draw imo. and super UPS mode! shame it doesn't prioritize DC charging, curious, if you tried to use the quiet mode with dual charging to see if it would cut AC down and accept DC to push up to the limit? the dolly idea is a very nice addition. Thanks again Jason for your great review, i hope that they take your advice and adjust the firmware to support DC priority charging.
I will have to test that dual charging feature again under silent mode just to make sure. The charging speed would be limited to around 550 watts from AC so maybe it will allow both inputs. Thanks for the suggestion.
Love the trolly. Wish more companies offered them with any SoGen 2000 wh and up. Also the trolly should be designed with solid rubber wheels and not hard plastic. Another great review. It’s getting hard to keep them under 30 min. I think we should start taking your word for things like pass through charging ups availability. I trust ya! 👍🙏🏻
I'll work on cutting down the wording for those areas in the video. What are your thoughts on the smart app overview? Needed or not needed? Too much depth or is it good? That section of the video took like 2.5 minutes...
@@Jasonoid Funny you mentioned that as I was going to include that in the list. Im probably not the person to ask but ill give it a shot. I think it’s needed but might be something to drop later. Or do one video on all the apps for the big 3 or 4 SoGen makers. Speak to the differences in the apps, likes and dislikes then recommendations for changes. I think I just created a lot of work for you. You can link to the app video saving time. Apps don’t get my attention to much. Im a push button guy, I want it to work in the worst case scenario. BT is ok. WiFi connectivity is not for me. Thats where I come from and I love the 200 max for that. If i loose my phone or for some reason there is no internet i still got my push buttons. Your wording is fine. Ive noticed the difference in your content. You’re precise and to the point. Keep up the good work as you got a lot to cover in a short amount of time and keeping our interest. Don’t know if i helped or not but I sure do appreciate ya!
I appreciated the app part of the video because apps vary on how good/bad they are. Now, that could be a separate video vs all together though. Saw another comment on length vs content. Just a thought/idea: have one "overview with some detail video" that you spend lots of editing on and a second detailed one that you only minimally edit (e.g., chapters). The 1st can be shorter, the second a lot longer. Not trying to add time to your efforts; just wondering if a different spilt, more videos. Of course, perhaps with how TH-cam works, this maybe a terrible idea. But, I also bet you've thought of this and there are a bunch of reasons it is a "bad" idea. Anyway, thank you as always for your reviews/videos. When I see one posted, the day is better. 😁😁
Hi Jason, Another great and thorough review. That is almost the perfect power station. I wish it had just one solar input rated from 12V to around 150V. 1000 to 1200 watts. instead of the two 600 watt solar inputs. It is nice that you can go up to 75 volts instead of the rated 60. The other small downside is, it does not allow dual AC -DC charging. This power station does have way more pluses going for it though. It tested very well on your grading system and has one of the best if not the best DC outputs available on any current power station or solar generator. It wasn't an after thought like on the AC200L. The Bluetti, of course, has it's positives over this station as well, like a 30A output built in and wider solar voltage input range. It's just nice to have so many options when it comes to power stations and home power back up systems, the consumer can pick what system is right for their needs. The Ugreen is one of those great options and comes with a luggage trolley also. It is also on sale at a great price at the moment. Steve.
@@Jasonoid These have been popping up in the comments on almost all recent portable power stations' reviews. So yes, they are indeed "marketing comments/sales pitches".
@@swenjiI don't UNDERSTAND why Ugreen do not JUST rate their Solar Input at 75 volts. Do the other brands stay Quiet also regards 60 volts vs 75 volts.
I guess when you Expand ugreen 2200 with 5 batteries for total 12,000 watts_____ Then its AC charging to fill all those batteries. Which implies the Extra Batteries are Emergency usage. Like in long Power Outages.
The polarity is fine (red is postive, black is negative). The arrangement of the connectors is backwards for the standard that most use here in the USA. Easy fix. Just slide your connectors around on your cable.
Hope Monte will send you the new Montek power stations to test. Wow they look incredible. I'm going to be ordering an X2000 today. The early bird pricing is incredible. Not scheduled to ship till the end of May, so in reality maybe June or July, but I can wait.
Great review Jason! I'm impressed by UGreen's offering. Disappointed with the lack of dual charging, but other features and capabilities are done well. Any plans to test the Oupes Mega2? It's in this 2kWh class, expandable to 10kWh, and has 150V MPPT input. The expansion batteries seem to have the same 150V MPPT.
Yes, possibly in the near future. It's hard though since not many viewers like the Oupes brand so they don't get that many views vs other brand videos.
@@Jasonoid I think the name hurts them. It makes them sound childish and less catchy vs competitors. Combined with not the greatest advertising/promotion campaigns. But hopefully you'll find it worthwhile to test and make a video. I know it's time and effort intensive, so I appreciate all the work.
Is the PowerRoam discontinued? UGreen doesn’t list it in the products section of their website. I found it on their website by searching for the word “PowerRoam”, but it seems odd that it is not featured prominently on their website. Also, the expansion batteries are not listed anywhere on their website.
@@Jasonoid do you think this will affect the current owners of this power station in some way? Besides of never being able to expand the battery of course. Because I'm thinkin on buying it right now even though it's discontinued. The reason is because it's on sale for $750!! That's a ridiculously cheap price discontinued or not
1, So. On what basis should one consider this a stable, dependable, long term brand? Is it really comparable to echo flow delta max 2 …AS: it will work, keep on working, and get comparable warranty support in the low likely hood of a failure? 2. Are most new generator problems software related and easily updated ?… With physical equipment failures a low ratio event? 3. Established brands with track records mean a lot….SO. Is this such a brand and I’m just not familiar ?
@@Jasonoid I see that now, sorry about that. Is your dual charge on the sheet always if it does AC + DC? I was looking at dual charge via DC + DC Do you know anything about this company as far as longevity, support, etc...? I'm trying to find a power system for a truck camper that can charge via solar and alternator at the same time
@@theclaxton the two best options for dual DC Charging are going to be this model from UGREEN and the Delta 2 Max from EcoFlow. They have very similar specs. I personally like the UGREEN 2200 a little more due to the 30 amp DC output and the higher solar input. I'd say UGREEN is around for the long haul. I met with them at CES this year and they have a HUGE variety of products but are just barely getting into the larger power stations. EcoFlow is also a great option if you'd rather go with a more established company, you miss out on a few nicer features if you went with the Delta 2 Max though.
@@Jasonoid yeah, this is top of this list at this point. I was hoping for a 1500wh system for size and weight but 2000 seems to be the way to go I love the ecoflow stuff and actually supported one of their kickstarters but the layout of the delta 2 max is awkward I was also looking at the Bluetti AC200Max as well but this seems much nicer for the same price
Now i bought the Anker, because didn't know what the ugreen expansion will cost. And because I found a really good price here in Germany. 1175€ that's even 175€ less than the Best offer i found on BF (actually there is no tax (normally 19%) on solar products in Germany) Best price for the ugreen at the same time 1499€ Also - the Anker expansion is around 900€. I think the ugreen is more expensive at the release. For me the two devices play in the same league. But are still very different. I need just one expansion - otherwise i would have gone with Team Ugreen😉
@@holger_ger3391 I actually purchased an Anker 767. Haven't opened it yet. Considering returning it for the Ugreen. You think the 767 has some advantages over the Ugreen?
Great review! This unit seems highly competitive. I just purchased a Delta 2 Max at a great price and I am familiar with the system, having had D2 and River Pro and R2 without issue. I looked for weight twice but didn’t find it-did I miss it? If not, think it would be useful to have a weight and a weight/capacity (wh) on your chart. Ergonomics of unit, in terms of lifting is also important but hard to rate. Thank you!
Check the second page / tab of my spreadsheet for the power station specifications (weight included). With the latest firmware update the Delta 2 Max now has a usable UPS mode. I'm doing a video about it this coming Friday!
Yes, the 30 amp DC output willI power a diesel heater. I asked why the expansion battery has been delayed and they told me there was something wrong with the battery capacity during testing. Not sure when they will be released.
The sparking is a concern. Does it do that when you connect solar panels too? Could you avoid that by hooking up the xc60 to the power station first before pointing the portable solar panels at the sun?
Very nice, and the app and trolley probable explain why it's a bit more expensive than the FFPower offerings. Actually, wonder if they sell just the trolley separately as I'd love something like that for the powerstations I already have 🙂 - Thanks for another great video
FFpower and Oukitel have a cart for their units, not many other brands do. I love how they included it on this model. Maybe you could email them and ask about the trolley as a separate purchase?
This would be a purchase with a full 30 amp outlet. A future version with that and fewer dc output options would be perfect for home emergency backup and RV power. Someday somebody is going to make a high capacity cube with the only output being a 30 amp outlet. Wouldn't even need a screen. Just an on/off switch and phone app.
Getting a 30 amp connection is easy these days by purchasing a 20 amp to 30 amp dongle: amzn.to/46uGqkN amzn.to/3QTxFeb This will give you the same connection as the Anker, Bluetti, or Jackery 30 amp port.
@@TEN-ve8mp gotcha, then you need a full 3600 watt inverter. The Jackery Explorer 2000 plus has a 3000w inverter and the Oupes Mega 3 has a 3600w inverter. They are much larger in size vs this model.
Jason What about the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra? EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra is a whole-home backup solution that offers unwavering power for extended outages and daily use. With an unrivaled capacity of 6kWh, 7200W AC output, and 5.6kW solar input, a single unit can run your entire home.
Jason do you have Instagram? I need serious advice and unsure whether to buy a 1khw or 2khw battery. I'm based in the UK so we have limited solar charging. But I do want to put a panel on the roof top tent. Looking to do around 2 days of no electricity. Just countryside driving and maybe a stop by the campsite for showers etc.
Great review. Only wish i seen before ordering my EcoFlow delta 2 max. Black Friday already done for me yesterday 😂. Doesn’t seem too to different at least. I also have a dolly already so no loss there. Maybe I’m better off since EcoFlow has a longer track record. I also have the wave2 and a river 2 max.
I have the the Delta 2 Max and Wave 2 just like you. Consider the BLESSING. You can via cable use the D2M like a power sounce. With 500w solar panels driving each D2M solar ports( for total 1000w). I do that and my Wave2 air conditioner runs from 10am to 8pm daily 7days a week. I very very seldom need AC charging for the setup. Also DC(D2M) to DC(W2) powering is very EFFICIENT. Which is the reason I can run the W2 from 10am to 8pm everyday without any AC current charging. Granted each morning my D2M state of charge might be 25% but by 1pm the D2M is 100% charged via Solar. And stays near 100% charged to near late Solar hours. But running the Wave2 on air conditioner to 8pm brings the state of charge back down to like 30%. Im saying if you had the ugreen 2200 to power your wave2 instead of your D2M you will lose the DC-DC efficiency. Thus need to AC charge the ugreen 2200.
@@larrywong7834 I just used the ac charging with my wave2 off of my d2m for the first time and didn’t like the run time it gave me. Your saying dc to dc charging is more efficient, I’d like to try that myself. Have to see how though. Just got it and reading the instructions isn’t exactly my strong suit. I didn’t buy my solar panels for the d2m yet but thought maybe not to max out the charging. Seeing that you’re using 2 500 watt panels makes me think I should do the same as opposed to the 2 450 watt panels I had in mind. Can you tell me which panels you use and where you get them from please? Thanks.
@anthonymaresca4839 HI Anthoney. Plugging the AC cord from W2 to a D2M outlet____ I always drain out my D2M internal Battery. Thus must charge my D2M 2048w battery most days. I actually plug my D2M ac current cord into my Bluetti AC300.
Anthony here is my fun Learning. I have feed my D2M DC1 port with 3 x Newpowa 220w serial array. I have also feed my D2M DC2 port with 3 x Renongy 220 Bificial serial array. This is OverPaneling so THAT at early day or semiCloudy days or Late Day the Solar is charging the D2M internal Battery at a fast rate.
Noticed strange behaviour with this station - when was running as UPS mode for a week at some point it is just disabled on 50 percent capacity and started to show 4 percent. Is it a bug in soft or anything with a battery ?
@@diegovillavicencio3172 I didn't use it much since there was no power outages recently. It's hard to say if there was a firmware update - there's no firmware version anywhere in the app and it could probably update the firmware on it's own

Hi Jason - do you know if this unit bypass drawing from the battery when the battery is full and on AC input? So will it hold its charge at 90% or 100% and only draw from the battery when AC input drops rather than always drawing from the battery and continuously recharging?
a regular generator or an inverter generator will do fine, and you have the option to charge it at the quiet setting if your generator can not output the 1600 watts on fast charging. inverter generators are usually quieter than regular ones, as they can reduce their engine rpm to match loads.
Great review but I got a question. I have this power station and twoo bougeRV 100W cigs panels (Voc 30.5v) . When I connect the panels either serie or parallel the PowerRoam won't start charging. When I turn the PowerRoam off and then connect the two panels the PowerRoam will turn itself on but after that won't start charging. (Car charging and AC charging work fine) Really need some help in this one.
I'd recommend having those panels in parallel since the VOC is pretty high. Usually an issue like that stems from having the positive and negative backwards or reversed polarity. Have you checked with a voltmeter to make sure positive is positive?
After reconnection everything it magically started charging in serie and parallel. Dont know what the problem was. Reversed polarity wasn't the problem. Thanks for the reply.
Jason great video! Could you connect up together a 2x100 wt solar panels in parallel on one 12v input + Victron volt booster in other input at the same time when charging for faster charge up. Would this charge from both sources at the same time?
Any chance you could review the Dabbsson 1300? Im really impressed with the stats and price and would love to hear your opinions. thanks for the great content J!
Wow Jason, I love this UGREEN!! I must save money to get this!! Is there a booklet that you recommend for beginners to read about solar generators, how to use them, and the definitions of how to use. I'm trying very hard to learn at 73!! 😅
You can purchase expansion batteries that have 2048wh of capacity. By connecting these batteries into the main power station (via the battery expansion port) you can get 4096wh or even 6144wh of total capacity to run your loads.
I believe incremental ac charging should be added to the requirements of your grading system it’s a invaluable feature being able so choose in 100/200w increments for if you are charging off inverters of various sizes or low output circuits where you want to max them out to can’t down charge time
Just watched your review. Thorough as always! As far as I can find, expansion batteries from UGreen are not available. Will other manufacturer's batteries work with this unit? Thank you!
The expansion batteries were delayed due to a manufacturing issue. They only want to release a high end working product. They will be coming out soon. Other expansion batteries will not work, these all have proprietary connections and communication between the main unit and the batteries.
@@DavidLPitman I don't recommend lipo batteries since the higher fire risk, but you can use whatever battery you'd like. Here's a video breaking down how different battery voltages work as DIY expansion batteries: th-cam.com/video/tK4JKmfndh8/w-d-xo.html
I like how the Power Roam 1200 and like it. I like the looks of the 2200. I wanted to get a 600 for Christmas but it looks like they discontinued it already which is a shame
@@Jasonoid I didn't hear either. When I went for a Black Friday deal I searched all over their store and couldn't find any listings. Which was a bummer.
My Dreamsky radio was never returned when I loaned out radios after a hurricane. Amazing audio and the one I loaned out somehow had abnormally great AM reception on weak daytime fringe stations. I bought a second one but it wasn`t as good. I have the best AM & shortwave receivers made now (for hurricanes when all other information sources are damaged) but I was impressed with that radio...except mine refused to work with rechargeable batteries.
No AC and DC dual charging seems like a pretty huge miss. Anyone using this full time at home would certainly want that if they had street and solar power options. Otherwise it seems like a great price for the options.
I had to have a double take on that. Just 75V for solar? That will severely limit how solar can be used on the UGreen. And no pre-charge resistors? The comparable and similar priced AC200L from Bluetti takes 145V, total of 1200W of solar and has a 2400W inverter. It also has PV priority UPS, which means you can leave it on solar and AC charging, and it will prioritize solar charging, like every self-respecting power station should do. I'd go with the Bluetti. Especially since their support has improved drastically in the last six months or so.
Usually love your videos because I understand them for a beginner. This time I feel you were talking a little too fast and too technical. Would love to see you explain all that knowledge in a simpler way. I have been watching a lot of reviews on power stations and solar the last 2 years, including your videos, and this time it was too overwhelming for me. But I hope to keep watching your channel, because you are one of my favorites.
I guess I just have too much stuff to test in too little time? You can slow down the video a tiny bit using the video settings, which might help with my speed of talking.
You should see if you could acquire an Anker Solix C1000 to perform a capacity test. This is easily one of the most purchased power stations on the market, however not a single TH-cam video showing a capacity test. Also of all the power stations of 2023 which is the best for each category, ie. 1000WH, 1500WH, 2000WH units.
I have the Solix C1000 👍😁 there's currently a firmware bug that shuts off the DC Output so I'm waiting for that to be fixed before finishing my testing. It's done well on my AC and DC capacity tests so far (86% and 89%)
@@Jasonoid Was the bug not fixed yet in the v1.3.2 update? I’m having the same shut off problem with the DC outlet. Trying to turn on my diesel heater, it shuts off immediately.
Ridiculousness! almost 2k for that? No way!!! Oupes is the best and reasonable powers station price, quality, build, and durability wise ..... GO OUPES .
I charge with solar 99% of the time. I'd rather charge from the sun than paying money to a power company... but I understand the importance of dual charging and that's why I include that in my grading system. The new AC200L accepts dual charging with AC and DC up to 2400 watts!
Based in South Africa here. Not sure if you are aware of our loadshedding situation. Also have limited choices here locally. Plenty sun thought... Looking for something to start out with and the UGREEN would be absolutely perfect save the dual charging issue. We have the Ac200max available but that again lacks ups function... Seems there's just no such thing as "the perfect" solar generator. Appreciate your indept reviews. Learned so much in a very short time. Many thanks!
It’s on the top end of practical mobile power stations. Checks all the boxes and performs well. Priced similar to other brands in the top field. Yet I don’t like it. It’s ugly. I just can’t help it. I want to like it. Need more beer. Maybe it will be prettier when I get tipsy. I do like the xt60 branch connector. Can I buy that on its own?
I'm not sure if the solar adapter is available on its own. You can always email their support group and they might be able to send you a link where to purchase one 👍
It uses high frequency, low surge inverter technology, so it's definitely not the king. If it used low frequency, transformer based inverter technology, then it might be the king.
If you can't find a commercially prepared low frequency solar generator, then assemble your own. It's easy to do and costs less for more reliable power.@@Jasonoid

@Jasonoid I MISTOOK your Openning at video min 0:13. This One Completes with All The Top Brands that's Out There. I seen videos of this Ugreen pulled around on 4 wheel cart. I pull my Ac300 around on a Cart. Sorry. I didn't know what we were Comparing.
If comparing this side by side to the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max, this allows for higher solar input, it has way more DC output available, and upgraded USBc ports. I try not to have a bias towards any brand so that when I do these videos it's a level playing field.
Amazing review Jason. Easily the best review of this power station. You basically summed up this power with all the info I need. You tested out the 12v 24v and 48v expandable batteries. You also revealed that it can take up 75v solar which is what you need for 3 panels in series. No where else can I find these information. Also like the geeky specs on each and every port. We love that.
Very impressive!! Love the trolley, too.
Hi Jason, Thanks for this review, I like the DC 25A for Van Life and the efficience of DC. Good unit.
Excellent presentation. Thank you. Some very nice DC outputs on this one versus the newest models from Jackery and Bluetti.
I agree, I feel the higher DC output should be on all these models.
Wow! That’s what you call a comprehensive review! Thank you!
thanks for the excellent remark about the xt60 to xt90 charge resistor!! super useful.
also since you're going deeper into testing USB ports i would love to see what kind of protocols/voltage levels are supported by newer solar generatos. drones, phones and other usb powered devices are getting picky about PD and PPS support.
am learning about this myself and getting a usb analyzer (fnb58) to test my chargers and cables.
I'm actually trying to reduce the length of these videos. Each one is 30 minutes long and takes weeks to put together. I'm trying to figure out how to shorten them so I'm not sure I want to add additional information. I'll think about it.

Comment for the algorithm - thanks Jason!
Absolutely love the features. 4 USB-Cs is great! And the name isn't too dumb like oopes or something.
I agree, nice and simple. They seemed to do some actual market research before creating the product!
Has some cool features and I like that the solar controllers will accept 75V (WAY better than 60V). Looks kind of big though. Looks like it's almost twice the size of my Pecron E2000LFP.
It's not very big, it's just a little bigger than the E2000lfp.
very good ac and dc idle power draw imo. and super UPS mode!
shame it doesn't prioritize DC charging, curious, if you tried to use the quiet mode with dual charging to see if it would cut AC down and accept DC to push up to the limit?
the dolly idea is a very nice addition.

Great test with panels. 75 volts wow
I'm glad they allowed the little bit of head room so you can put 3 panels in series! Much better to have that extra voltage.
Hi Jason,
Another great and thorough review.
Steve.
You sound like an employee of that company trying to sell it! LOL...
Which 12 to 36v boost converter are you using and what the amp rating?
That info can all be found in this video:
th-cam.com/video/I78RxjRXTn4/w-d-xo.html
This might be a dumb question. The Anderson DC output polarity, is it really reversed?
The polarity is fine (red is postive, black is negative). The arrangement of the connectors is backwards for the standard that most use here in the USA. Easy fix. Just slide your connectors around on your cable.
Thanks for your response! Your reviews are much appreciated!
Hope Monte will send you the new Montek power stations to test. Wow they look incredible. I'm going to be ordering an X2000 today. The early bird pricing is incredible. Not scheduled to ship till the end of May, so in reality maybe June or July, but I can wait.
No word from Monte for the last 2 months...
Jason, what if you reduce the AC charging to the quiet charging. Can you charge from solar too?
Anytime it's AC charging, it stops DC Charging. I am going to request they change that via firmware. Maybe that's a possible change.

UGreen should advertise 9-ms switch time rather than lump stations at < 20 ms. Just bought another brand with 10-ms. Love your chart.
There are a lot of great options available, I'm glad you found something that works for you!
Is the PowerRoam discontinued? UGreen doesn’t list it in the products section of their website. I found it on their website by searching for the word “PowerRoam”, but it seems odd that it is not featured prominently on their website.
Also, the expansion batteries are not listed anywhere on their website.
Yep, its been discontinued. They couldn't get a good enough contract to keep the batteries at a good price.
@@Jasonoid do you think this will affect the current owners of this power station in some way? Besides of never being able to expand the battery of course. Because I'm thinkin on buying it right now even though it's discontinued. The reason is because it's on sale for $750!! That's a ridiculously cheap price discontinued or not
@@diegovillavicencio3172 I feel like my unit performed well. It should be similar. Basically the first batch.

Also - the Anker expansion is around 900€. I think the ugreen is more expensive at the release.
For me the two devices play in the same league. But are still very different.
I need just one expansion - otherwise i would have gone with Team Ugreen😉
The Anker is an option, you can't go wrong with either.
@@holger_ger3391 I actually purchased an Anker 767. Haven't opened it yet. Considering returning it for the Ugreen. You think the 767 has some advantages over the Ugreen?
No information online for any expansion batteries so I assume there arent any in production? Not good if you cant expand it to larger capacity.
They were delayed in production but should be arriving soon. I will be testing them to make sure they work properly.
Jason will this unit run a diesel heater? Also seems odd that Ugreen still hasn't released an expansion battery.
Yes, connecting the solar panel when it has no sun on it will avoid that sparking on the charge controller.
Thank you@@Jasonoid
How did they pass ETL certification with the spark issue? Isn't that a potential fire and/or shock hazard?
Great video jason, this is a pretty good unit

Very nice, and the app and trolley probable explain why it's a bit more expensive than the FFPower offerings. Actually, wonder if they sell just the trolley separately as I'd love something like that for the powerstations I already have 🙂 - Thanks for another great video
FFpower and Oukitel have a cart for their units, not many other brands do. I love how they included it on this model. Maybe you could email them and ask about the trolley as a separate purchase?
Wow, air filter 140W USBC, high amp 12V output, wish the Delta 2 Max had all of that...
Lots of little upgrades that make this unit pretty cool
This would be a purchase with a full 30 amp outlet. A future version with that and fewer dc output options would be perfect for home emergency backup and RV power. Someday somebody is going to make a high capacity cube with the only output being a 30 amp outlet. Wouldn't even need a screen. Just an on/off switch and phone app.
Getting a 30 amp connection is easy these days by purchasing a 20 amp to 30 amp dongle:

But I do want to put a panel on the roof top tent. Looking to do around 2 days of no electricity. Just countryside driving and maybe a stop by the campsite for showers etc.
This is an impressive unit. Would consider it if it had a companion smart generator similar to the EcoFlow unit.
Yeah, it doesn't have that feature unfortunately.
You'll have a great experience with the D2M as well. They are both excellent products.

Hi Jason - do you know if this unit bypass drawing from the battery when the battery is full and on AC input? So will it hold its charge at 90% or 100% and only draw from the battery when AC input drops rather than always drawing from the battery and continuously recharging?

Can a solar charging station be charged with a generator?
Hey Beverly! Yes, if you have a gas generator you can plug the power station charging cable into the generator and it will charge it up.
Ok thank you, wasn't sure if it needed the clean power from an inverter generator or just a regular generator
a regular generator or an inverter generator will do fine, and you have the option to charge it at the quiet setting if your generator can not output the 1600 watts on fast charging. inverter generators are usually quieter than regular ones, as they can reduce their engine rpm to match loads.
Yes, it supports charging from both DC ports at the same time.

Is there a booklet that you recommend for beginners to read about solar generators, how to use them, and the definitions of how to use. I'm trying very hard to learn at 73!! 😅
I think you said it had the ability to expand, can you talk more about that?
You can purchase expansion batteries that have 2048wh of capacity. By connecting these batteries into the main power station (via the battery expansion port) you can get 4096wh or even 6144wh of total capacity to run your loads.
It might be useful to add columns for DC input range and max VOC to the spreadsheet.
All that information is there actually. Check the second tab of the spreadsheet to see all performance numbers and specs.

The expansion batteries were delayed due to a manufacturing issue. They only want to release a high end working product. They will be coming out soon.
Other expansion batteries will not work, these all have proprietary connections and communication between the main unit and the batteries.

rechargeable batteries often have a slightly lower voltage than regular alkalines.
No AC and DC dual charging seems like a pretty huge miss. Anyone using this full time at home would certainly want that if they had street and solar power options. Otherwise it seems like a great price for the options.
Lets see if that's an option to get fixed via a firmware update....maybe!
The Bluetti doesn't have a 12v high DC output anymore and you can't use both 100w ports at the same time. They both have their advantages.
Usually love your videos because I understand them for a beginner. This time I feel you were talking a little too fast and too technical. Would love to see you explain all that knowledge in a simpler way.

You need a 220-240v (European) version of the UGreen for SEA, not the 120v USA model. Wait and it will come.
No solar priority on a solar generator... I'm mean come on. It's perfect otherwise and that is pretty much a deal breaker.
@@Jasonoid yea, that’s what I was afraid of.
It uses high frequency, low surge inverter technology, so it's definitely not the king. If it used low frequency, transformer based inverter technology, then it might be the king.
So what power station offers a low frequency inverter in today's market? I doubt there are any.
If you can't find a commercially prepared low frequency solar generator, then assemble your own. It's easy to do and costs less for more reliable power.@@Jasonoid
Expensive, not a high enough voltage for solar input! Most home panels are at least 4o volts voc. so this screws you for serial connections.
It's takes 75v, which is better than 60v on Anker and Ecoflow
Jason, I really love your reviews and value your opinion. just not in this case. Sorry.
I see no RV 30amp service!! Thats a deal breaker and fail for me!!
Problem solved: amzn.to/3O5uiAp
Only a mere 2400w Inverter??
I'm so disappointed. Wanted 3500w minimum. 4000w Inverter would be Perfect for House use.
Our home. We want to run a 120v Electric Dryer + 1200w Whynt Heater + couple TV's.
Without tripping the Inverter with overload. 4000w Inverter
can handle concurrently
You my friend are going to need something much larger than this category unit. These are portable units, something you need won't be portable. Wait for the Ecoflow Delta Ultra review coming soon, 7200w 240v output.
That Thing can't EVEN Compete with Bluetti AC300.
Which has 3000w Inverter
@@larrywong7834.... Why compare something outside of its size category?
@Jasonoid I MISTOOK your Openning at video min 0:13.
This One Completes with All The Top Brands that's Out There. I seen videos of this Ugreen pulled around on 4 wheel cart. I pull my Ac300 around on a Cart. Sorry. I didn't know what we were Comparing.
Ac DC Dual Charging need Very clean Amp interferance test need
Amp interference test was great on this model. No AC and DC charging at the same time though.
Absolutely not better then echo flow or the echo flow family. Nor the reputation, reliability and customer service
If comparing this side by side to the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max, this allows for higher solar input, it has way more DC output available, and upgraded USBc ports. I try not to have a bias towards any brand so that when I do these videos it's a level playing field.
I read that it lacks some of the app features that Ecoflow has.
What are you smoking? This thing beats the comparable EcoFlow model in every imaginable feature.
Ugreen is not some unknown company, they are huge
@@Jasonoidugreen 2200 solar:
Solar input: 12- 60V Single port: 600W max, Dual port: 1200W max
The solar intake of Bluetti AC200L has also elevated to 1,200W
No thanks...I will stay with my Anker 767
The Anker 767 is a great model as well!
Is the Anker better in some aspect?
