I used Smart Switch to transfer all my data from Note9 to Note20 Ultra. Man it's amazing. It even install all the apps you have in your old phone.
My only Samsung phones were the Note 2. The Note 20 Ultra 5G is the first time I'm gonna go back to Samsung phones. Here's hoping the bloatware is gone (or at least minimized??) - like the Samsung email, Samsung browser, Samsung music. Who uses these redundant apps? This is indeed helpful to transfer my DATA from my old phone. Thank you for the walk through.
I appreciate how in depth you went with the data transfer process. I skipped the Note 10 line, so it's been about two years since I last did a transfer. Glad it seems to be just as painless as I remember.

Yes, I am upset to hear that faster charging rates are not supported, but I wonder if it has to do with battery life. Charging at the higher rate may come at the expense of battery health or even, dare I say it, fire risk reminiscent of the Note 7.

I used wireless transfer also to move everything to my New Note 20 Ultra without any issues and I actually bought 2 - 45 watt chargers during the past year so yeah I was a little bummed about the lack of 45 watt charging you are right about the charging speed though there is very little difference, less than 10 minutes if you charge to 100% which I don't usually do anymore I charge during the day and stop it around 85 to 90% it seemed to work really well with my last phone the Note 10 + and kept the battery in good shape

I got my Note 20Ultra just like the one in y his video myself. I do still use usee wired earphones , I switch between wired and wireless all the time, I find them lighter and more comfortable than wireless. But if Im in the Gym wireless is the way to go

Weird - my husband pre-ordered the Note 20 Ultra and he got wired earphones. But no clear case even though JerryRigEverything shows that he got a clear case with his. So weird.

For as much money as they're charging, which is a premium price, they need to give you a premium experience, in my opinion, by including everything you need to make your enjoyment of this device complete. That means include headphones, a dongle, extra tips for the S pen, a screen protector and a case.
Sounds greedy and unlogical if you ask me.
@@warmad2596 Is it? Then why do phones that are mid rangers and cost a lot less, give you these things? Virtually all phones sold in other markets come with these things. All Note 20 Ultras in Europe come with headphones and a case in the box.

Cable transfer using the Note 20 Ultra’s USB-C cable never worked with my Note 9. Wireless both was fast and flawless. Regarding wired headphones, every Bluetooth ear buds I have lose connection when I’m running and have the phone secured in my running belt. Wired buds are the only reliable way (and yes I do have the Galaxy Buds Live which have excellent sound). Also, I have an app that can receive FM radio, but it uses the headphone cable as an antenna.
Good unboxing, setup and data transfer video for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I assume it's due to the COVID-19 pandemic is the reason why Samsung didn't include the wired ear buds, ear bud tips and extra S Pen tips in the box. I currently have the Galaxy Note 8 and I have intentions on getting the Note 20 Ultra. I'll get the one with the internal memory storage of 512 GB. I already have a 512 GB micro sd card, so I'll be loaded when I get the Note 20 Ultra. As for doing the data transfer the overall duration is about the same if it's done with the USB-C cable or wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Based on the three available colors for the Note 20 Ultra, it's only the Mystic Black that's a fingerprint magnet for the phone. The other two colors Mystic White and Mystic Bronze have matte finishes to them which will not attract fingerprints. When I get mine it'll be in Mystic White. Generally speaking, other phone You Tube reviewers would have a separate video for the phone unboxing, separate video for the initial setup/data transfer and a separate video for size comparison with other phones, but you did all of that in one video. That was nice. Nice n convenient. Looking forward to your next video with the Note 20 Ultra.

1. Time take to full charge by using Fast Wireless Charger.
2. Same thing above with type c wired headset plugged in.

Hi ive always had the Samsung phones ive got the note 10 plus but had so many issues with this phone, I also never liked how Samsung transfered your screen app setting like my screen settings are still the same as what my s 5 looked like cos its just kept copying everything inc layout. Is there enough difference in note 10 and 20 to make the change
WELL FOR ME, THE WIRED TYPE C HEADPHONE IS NECESSARY ONLY WHEN I WANT TO PUT MY PHONE IN RECOVERY MODE TO WIPE CACHE PARTITIONS OR REPAIR APPS AS THE DEVICE WILL NOT GO TO RECOVERY MODE BY PRESSING VOLUME DOWN AND SIDE BUTTON TOGETHER IN DEVICES WITH EXYNOS, NEED TO PLUG THE HEADPHONE AT THE CHARGING PORT OF THE FONE FIRST, THEN POWER OFF AND THEN RECOVERY MODE.
Regarding the apps, does it also transfer the data/settings?
For the price, the very least they can do is throw in the basic headphones and the headphone jack adapter. Dang! They're getting a bit beside themselves, but I love my Note 10+ and will be upgrading to the 20 Ultra 512 gb as soon as they're back in stock.

I moved away from Samsung after my S5 days because of the excessive bloat and Samsung only utilities. I had to move from my Moto One Zoom to move to the carrier of my choice.
I decided to use smart switch but it was very incomplete in what it brought over and it appears to not allow Google backup to install the apps when settings on the Samsung phones. It did not bring over all the apps and their settings The initial messages brought over could only be used with Samsung messages it took several hours before Google messages was working. The SD card copy did not bring over all the folders and files from the SD card.
I am now trying to figure out how to get gigabytes of information off my Motorola Zoom one SD card and onto the Samsung SD card which allows to not allow copy and paste via windows file explorer.
Im kind of a newb on phones. Do you have to put in the old sim card? Does this new phone already have one? Just pre ordered the ulta and i have a Samsung 7 edge. It been a while. Lol

I use that USB C to A adapter with my S20 Ultra to plug in a drawing tablet. That way I can pretend I still have a note. Lol.
It also let's you plug in hard drives and USB sticks into your phone for faster transfers of large files. Definitely glad they had one in my box for free.

@@TechisodeTV The only downside is there's no pointer or cursor support on the S series like on the Notes. So when you are sketching or using the tablet (mine is just a tablet and pen. No display) since there's no pointer/cursor, you don't have any idea where the point relates on the screen. (Unless you have a tablet that has a built in display.) It's still better drawing and writing with than my finger.
Just make sure the tablet supports Android or it won't work.
Do you put the sim into new device when transfer all data ? Or can you do it with no sim in note 20 ultra?
There's no extra stylus tips for the S pen. I'm disappointed about that, unless this S pen tip never wears out 🤔

I'm right handed & I hold the note20 ultra in my left hand when I use my s pen as I hold it in my right hand so right or left side isn't an issue
I noticed you did not cover the memory card. If you decide to transfer the memory from the card on the old phone, and then moved the card to the new phone, would the phone have the same info that's on the memory card twice? What do you suggest the best way to do this without compromising the memory on the card? Thanks
This video was good. Maybe next time take a deeper dive into how to move your account credentials over to a new phone. I had to reenter all my passwords, etc. which took me a loooong time. It would be cool if I could move all my login stuff over automatically. Maybe I did something wrong. Thanks for the vid!

I don't agree with you!
If your old device is an Android but not a Samsung phone, it's better to use the version backed up on Google cloud (you can request a new backup on your old phone directly before restoring on the new phone).
If your old device is a Galaxy phone, better use both Google backup & Samsung backup at the same time (google backup for all apps, accounts, ... and Samsung backup for HomeScreen, settings, and other Galaxy specific apps)
This way you don't need to connect anything, and you don't have to wait any time, as it will fetch all from the cloud.
I use these methods all the time and it works perfectly! (unless you have some offline data not backed up to your cloud)
I'm mad because I broke my note 9 and it had just went through update giving it the same features as the 20. Of course it was paid off.

Wireless transfer is fast if you have a good router.... no need for cables

Wired transfer wouldn't work with my LG V40 to Samsung Note 20 Ultra. However, wireless worked and took 30 mins.

well you can ask samsung to give you one free wired earbud, if you ask...,but still sad =/
I asked and what I received was a $30 credit towards wired earbuds which will still cost about $50 after the credit. I just ordered the Galaxy Buds Live and will be fine with that.
When I got my Note 20 Ultra it came with wired earbuds in the box, but then again I know some peoples came with a clear case (which mine didn't).
