Fair enough! I feel that Rutger is more NHL ready right now, but Lambert has higher upside at the NHL level. Both could be 1 or 2 on this list without a doubt.
@@connorhrabchak3683 I know Chevy believes you have to earn your right to play in the NHL but I still feel your top prospect should be given the right, even an edge, in attempting to make the team. Make it his to lose.
without a doubt in my mind, Brad Lambert is the Jets best prospects. McGroarty is great and all but I think he would be a liability for the Jets if he were to play this year.
hey thanks for the question. I chatted with Connor about this on today's live stream. Because Heinola was drafted five years ago and is no longer waivers exempt he has aged out of being a prospect. Check out about 20 mins in to today's show for more in depth discussion.
It seems that the Jets are really good at retooling their team without having to do a full rebuild. They kind of just rotate players and I can see Colby Barlow being a great captain or like an better Andrew Ladd type of player
Rutger McGroarty will hopefully be traded for something valuable! I would also have Lambert over McGroarty though. Lambert played in the AHL and proved himself, McGroarty played NCAA....much different level, he has not yet proved himself (like you said, his skating may not be 'up to standard'). How can he immediately transition to the NHL?
I know it's a stretch, but I agree with Connor that Chaz could blossom into a great player.
he made some good arguments! hopefully he stays healthy.
I would have Lambert over McGroarty, as Brad is the more NHL ready.
And less entitled

How do you know lambert is more NHL ready? He’s played 1 NHL game and Rutgers hasn’t even played one
Great work Connor!!
Thank you very much!!
Is Heinola no longer a prospect? Or is it age limited?

@@SportsTalkWPG so if he’s aged out and still hasn’t made the team, he must be a draft bust, right? 😎

Chibrikov in for Lucius.
Cant wait see colby Barlow in winnipeg,, puts up great number's
with a name like Chaz Lucius, you can only hope to see him in the NHL for years to come.
Great list Connor. Jets fans need to realize that McGroarty is the best. NHL ready and better than Appleton.
That's why so many teams are signing up to get him lol
Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@patrickgoulet8170 He’s getting some really bad advise that’s why no one’s breaking down the door it definitely isnt his skill level 🙄
I think if lambert does come in he's gonna be that four c and vlad will fill the 2c. Doubt he'd start his career on the second line
Thought Colby will be joining the moose this year?
he's not eligible to join the Moose, just OHL or NHL. this was discussed more in the Colby Barlow deep dive video. thanks for asking.
Ayana Mews
