The video/song did not disappoint. Definitely worth the wait. I enjoy walking the pepper path and wish the best for you and yours! Thanks for the content!
Beautiful garden. I am still in shock. I have been working for days cleaning up the dying plants that did not wash away but were killed by the salt water surge. Definately grew attached to the plants and the routine of caring for them. Looking forward to next year if I can find a place to live with a yard.
Great video Rob! Glad to see you are back with another of your musical numbers to brighten up an evening with. You have some very fine plants and a typically wonderful range of plant selections. Has been a strange growing season over this way also. Now into early October, still no frost, plants about a month behind yet producing good. Keep growing that fine health! -Bob...
Glad to see you're doing well. Enjoyed the new song and garden tour. Our harvest was mediocre and blossomed late as well here on the West coast due to odd growing weather this year. Always look forward to your positive energy. Stay well.
You rock my friend. Let's walk the path of peppers and pain together. If you ever get tired of the mundane hit me up for some really beautiful specimens. i think if anyone could do them justice... you could do them that justice.
Very cool peppers this year. It's great to see you still growing. I look forward to seeing your videos whenever they come out. My Equidorian Red Pepper for Hell has been outside and is only now starting to produce pods also. Cool right?
i am fond of your peppers i always watch your vlog since i saw it some years ago and i planting peppers of some variety of philppines chile and peppers here in my little space in terrace and rooftop its started when isaw your channel
Nice song. Sounded "different", but I like it! Worth the wait. And who would ever be "easily bored" while watching one of your videos?! 🤪Those Puma and Reaper Spagliato (and any variegated plant) looks amazing 😍Hope there'll be time for the stragglers to ripen up before the frost 🤞
Great video, Rob! You are right…this has been a challenging growing season. Mine are still in the ripening stage…although some have ripened and are just slow/ I think I’ll end up with plenty though. Happy growing, and it’s good to see you! 🙃🔥❣️
I'm a 2nd year grower. I'm here in Minneapolis, but most of my grow was out towards the Alexandria area. I'll be darned if I don't have 60 pounds of peppers off 70-80 plants. We just had a hard freeze, and I picked as much as I could. I get my seeds from Jimmy Pickles. A huge producer was the 7-pot pickle. Giant pods that are a brilliant bright yellow when ripe. Also I have to mention the sugar rush red. Another prolific producer making sweet pods perfect for snacking. I overdid it, but I'm already thinking about what to grow next season.
Love watching your videos very inspired to plant peppers, btw just started my journey planting peppers. i failed 8 months ago, planted reapers but suddenly seedlings died dont know why now i have 200 seeds planted almost 1month and germination rate is just less than 10% any tips from everyone is much appreciated
Great song Rob, my favourite from you so far. Hope your heath is improving. It’s not everyday that I see a telecaster with twin humbuckers. Yes, the season where I am was the same way, late start then nothing but heat. Poor yields compared to last year. To top it off we went from 10 degrees above normal to 10 degrees below normal overnight a couple of weeks ago and it’s stayed that way. We almost got down to freezing overnight Monday. I’m excited about next year though. I found a monstrous Jamaican grown yellow scotch bonnet in a local store that is 4 lobed and a legit 2.5” diameter and 2” deep. I’ll be saving the seeds for next year. One of my skunky special herbs has a main kola 13” in circumference at the base and 20” long 😳.
I'm glad you like my song! We could have frost later this week, but I'm hoping we are spared here in the city. That tele is a cool little 5-string mandolin made a guy here in Minneapolis. It's a really cool instrument.
I never even noticed it was a 5 stringer lol. My bad 🤗. I saw the body and headstock shape and “tele” just snapped into my brain. Temps were back up today, for a change, but will be going back down again on Friday 🤨. It’s just one extreme to the other. The colder temps have my joints aching. Fortunately I have my herbs to help in the evening.
I’m no stranger to luthiery. I’ve made a ‘65 style Fender jazz bass from scratch for myself and have a couple others on the go. I also work on basses, including machining some of my own bridges as well as making bone and brass nuts, setups etc.

Sure was a weird year for peppers here. However I did have the largest yield for Big Jim Hatch that I've ever had before. It surpassed far and above any other years.
