The thing with the Codex if I remember right is that Gulliman wrote it as a general guideline and just as it was being rolled out, he did wargames where he was the side running AGAINST the Codex he wrote to prove that it is not infallible. He wrote the single best pieces of combat literature ever concieved and implemented, told the Astartes forces to learn them and then beat them in spite of it to prove a point. I'm just giddy with the idea of Roboute and Lion meeting up because they last part on not very good terms. Both of them seem to have been mellowed or tempered a bit. So I just imagine Roboute waiting for Lion in just normal clothing, with some tea and biscuits, hoping against hope that Lion won't punch him in the face the first thing. And maybe hope for a hug. Or even just a firm handshake. But the boy needs a hug. Both of them do, really.
Well, given the fact that the Lion was acting like he was about to cry when finding out Guilleman was alive, I think it will be the latter... Now, finding out he's probably going to get a Xeno for a sister in law different story😂😂😂
The relationship between you two is incredible. The emperor would be proud of the work you two librarians are doing. You should celebrate the heroes of the empire next
Not gonna lie, all the extra info I got on Guilliman's quirks, and how that's causing some amount of friction with the rest of his chapter makes me curious enough to wanna delve deeper into them. Means y'all did a great job! Thanks for the episode, guys!

The ultramarines have always been my favorite chapter/legion not only for personal reasons like having the same color schemes as my high school but also in a universe with a multitude of different horrors versatility is the best ability no other legion pays more homage to the Roman Empire then they do and 10th edition has done them justice in showing their not just plot armour but competent fighters even in the face of grim dark situations .Also guilliman =the Optimus prime of the primarchs he’s not the strongest , fastest or even the most hax in abilities but he’s arguably the best tactician and the best primarch to lead the imperuim because of his logistical and organizational skills.
Hey guys! I found your channel thanks to another youtuber who introduced me to 40K, Bricky. I started binge watching your videos and they are all amazing. Thanks for the medstudent shoutout! I certainly do see myself as an ultramarine as I'm a registred nurse doing medschool, while working out 20+hrs a week for my boxing bouts, while managing social and loving relationship. certainly is draining, but mega worth it! Keep up the good work!
Funnily enough, when you were talking about how Guiliman wrote down his strategies and all for his sons/warriors to utilize, he ran into an identical problem that Zhuge Liang (greatest strategist of the 3 Kingdoms Era) had with his own protege - they couldn't see past the paper.
The blood angels gene seed is totally stable and anyone who says differently is guilty of heresy. Please ignore the brothers chugging from the blood chalice and the brothers in black screaming about Horus.
When it comes to the codex, I’ve always thought of the more sensible chapters looking at it along the lines of “this is the foundation, it will get you a good way through the war, but 60% of the plan at most.”
I'd love to see some more on some of the Craftworlds and technology of the Eldar. They sound like, lore-wise at the moment, they deserve some decent attention.
One of my favorite Guilliman scenes was when he cried after his iPad, which had belonged to his mortal dad and was a relic from the Dark Age of Technology, was broken by Alpha Legion agents, and his mortal mom was with him and correctly accessed that it was just the final straw because Guilliman was having a rough time, his best brother betrayed him, his planets were under attack, he lost contact with Terra and can't even tell if the Emperor is still alive, his home got broken into by Alpha Legion spies and now he lost an irreplaceable relic from his and humanity's past. Guilliman is in fact the most human in the way he is portrayed.
I discovered the 40K universe with the Dawn of War games 15 years ago so for me the default Space Marine was a Blood Raven and that for years (my strong interest in the 40K universe lore is very recent (1-2 years)) Even if since then I have fallen in admiration with the Salaamenders which have become my favorite
I think my favorite thing about Guilliman's return is that he spent the entire journey to Terra thinking "pft! The Emperor's not a god!" only to have an audience with him after getting there and thinking "Oh shit... He is a god... And even MORE of a prick! What the FUCK! Why does anyone worship this asshoe! That is *_not_* my fucking dad!"
Koda bringing up the Book of 5 Rings by its original title makes me so happy. The Go-Ryu no Sho is a wonderful example a code that got turned into a life guide.
On the subject of that deadbeat dad thing, Magnus was completely committed to his Sons. The emperor offered him a new Legion that wouldn't suffer with their flaws, which he refused, and quite literally made a deal with the devil to try and save them. He was absolutely Arrogant and he's definitely had some questionable writing as of late, but if anything is true with him, he loved his sons
I wateched your videos while having my most dificult year of med school... My favorite primarch is big G... You made me feel like like oke of his sons Saludos desde México hermano 👊🏻

Finally, our requests have been answered! Ultramarine episode!
Ok. That's it. You guys win. I sincerely enjoy every warhammer 40k video the two of you put out. I think I'm about to hit up their patreon. You two deserve it.
The DBZA reference took me out 😂 you guys deserve every bit of success with this channel and more
I am a simple man I see a TFS reference, I like the comment/ video.
Also the fact that it was Super Kami Guru ™ another powerful magical despot stuck on a throne who also has a legacy of genocide (RIP albino namekians) and fucking with his "Chosen" one 😂😂😂
ya know isyander loving efficiency so much might just be why this channel has such a good upload record and has grown so much
i kinda wish we had dragged that out for the ultramarines, but its also just awesome to see Isyander with the raw energy that can only come from a true fans desire
I don't care how cliche it is, this is my favorite legion. 😊
Nothing wrong with it. They get shit done
Nothing cliche about loving Space Romans. Space Romans are tight.
This channel has honestly become my favorite to watch the fun banter and story telling is so good in every episode i find myself binging evey podcast multiple times. Thank you for dedicating the time to put out banger after banger every week and giving everyone something to look forward to
I know you both are super into the 40K universe, and sci-fi based on the Warframe podcast I saw a bit ago, but hearing you both play D&D really makes me want to hear about those stories too! Or just general cannon lore about it all if it could be put into a entertaining jacket!
loved Koda at the end just laying into Isyander's DnD choices lol
"It just works" and "Functional" are superpowers. Yes!
Guilliman eats entire cartons of cigarettes for a snack, change my mind
Keep up the incredible work you two!
Funnily enough, when you were talking about how Guiliman wrote down his strategies and all for his sons/warriors to utilize, he ran into an identical problem that Zhuge Liang (greatest strategist of the 3 Kingdoms Era) had with his own protege - they couldn't see past the paper.
hi from canada, I cast my vote to the heros of the imperium but I also would love a custodes episodes.
The blood angels gene seed is totally stable and anyone who says differently is guilty of heresy. Please ignore the brothers chugging from the blood chalice and the brothers in black screaming about Horus.
Ci Ci Ciaphus Cain, hero of the imperium!
There is only one true hero of the Imperium and that's Malcador. Do my boy proud with an ep on his final creation, the Inquisition
When it comes to the codex, I’ve always thought of the more sensible chapters looking at it along the lines of “this is the foundation, it will get you a good way through the war, but 60% of the plan at most.”
Apparently there is a part of the codex that distills to...when this codex doesn't give the answer, make up the answer based off the codex rules.
I'd love to see some more on some of the Craftworlds and technology of the Eldar. They sound like, lore-wise at the moment, they deserve some decent attention.
Heros of the imperium. Make this Florida bous dresms come true
Well well well, looks like the Orks beliefs of blue being the lucky colour is true after all
really cute seeing the closeness between you two at the end
YEAH, BLUEBOYS
ALSO I BE OUT HERE WANTING TO LEARN ABOUT THE FREAKING HEROES OF THE IMPERIUM
I was not expecting to hear a tfs quote out of nowhere. Thank you for catching me off guard with that.
it is funny because I discovered salamanders first. so I think of space marines as green.
My first space marine was a Crimson Fist, so those ones pop into my head first
I discovered the 40K universe with the Dawn of War games 15 years ago so for me the default Space Marine was a Blood Raven and that for years (my strong interest in the 40K universe lore is very recent (1-2 years))
Even if since then I have fallen in admiration with the Salaamenders which have become my favorite
Yinz guys rock!! Your vids are like cold ice tea on a hot day... Refreshing!!
My Vote is for ... Ci-ci-ciphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium!
I would love love LOVE to hear dnd stories or for you guys to have a podcast episode about dnd
HE FINLAY GOT HIS ULTRA MARIN EPISODE
On the subject of that deadbeat dad thing, Magnus was completely committed to his Sons.
The emperor offered him a new Legion that wouldn't suffer with their flaws, which he refused, and quite literally made a deal with the devil to try and save them. He was absolutely Arrogant and he's definitely had some questionable writing as of late, but if anything is true with him, he loved his sons
"The Church ate the Post Office, and the Trains are run by the Navy."
What a perfect summary.
I wateched your videos while having my most dificult year of med school...
My favorite primarch is big G...
You made me feel like like oke of his sons
Saludos desde México hermano 👊🏻
Again, I pray that the Blood Ravens stall have their chance 🙏
The Blood Ravens will steal their chance just like they stole my punctuation
@@IllithaYour punctuation was gifted to them in a ceremonial exchange of grammar in M. 35. 991. :p That you have no record of this, well, that is your fault for shoddy record keeping.
Are you guys good? Thought we were going to see a new video on Saturday. You guys are one of the highlights of my week.
Lionel Johnson was a poet who wrote “The Dark Angel”
and Konrad is a VERY normal name. however in my experience it’s spelled with a C typically
Its shocking how they understand that having a sterile environment for surgical operations is the standard compared to every where else in the emperium
Hearing Isyander talk about the ultra marines...I wanna be an ultra marine...I wanna just be stable in all of life
Hahahahhahaha not the TFS reference I love it, you guys deserve so much support, keep going💪💪💪💪
I really want to see the Heroes of the Imperium because not only do I share my name with Sebastian Yarrick, he’s also my favorite character in the setting … even though he’s probably super mega dead now
Konrad has the most normal name. Which is weird in and of itself.
Heros of the imperium since Cain is apparently funny
By order of the Martyr: it demands a video of the Inquisition
Guilliman is a true Roman. Taking good ideas and passing them off as your own.
P.s do heroes of the Imperium.
When everyone does the right thing over and over again we can do this. FOR THE EMPEROR and his loyal guards
This all makes sense. I really like the Ultramarines, I always pick a human warrior and I rarely do much customisation to the default characters looks outside of hair and outfit
The counter to ultrasmurfs having a better range than the test:
Maybe if your factions bought even a fifth of the plastic marine players do they'd get named characters too.
As it is several xeno and chaos ranges are subsidized by the Marine players. And that's been true since at least 8th ed.
Isyander finally got his wish
this channel grew so fast, good for them
the ultramarines are cool and all, but do you know what's cooler than space nerds, chad Mongols on speedbikes
For the Khan!
the isyander slander at the end was glorious
I'm hoping we do the inquisition next :)
"they say he even consults the codex astartes before he mounts the missus, to ensure he performs IN AN ORDERLY PROFICIENT MILITARY MANNER"
bonus points if you know where this joke comes from.
i think R. Guilliman was the best choise for the imperium for a primatch return . this man even tho wasnt ever my fav one he is the most well rounded primarchs . one of the Best Strategist amazing with planning and logistics a great politician (they needed one) his not just good with tactics and strategy it is said you cant use the same tactics twice to beat R.G. he can adapt to any situation and we have seen him be logical like in general not like his brothers.
I like Guilliman just on the basis that he is the only functional adult in the setting.
YAY ULTRAMARINES I'd like to thank me and all my ultramarine friends for voting and I hope Isyander is super happy
“This is betrayal of the highest order.”
