Of all the yacht bloggers out there, you Sir are by far my favorite. You are very natrual on camera and just have a great delivery. I always learn something. Thank you.
Great video. Loved the very subtle background music. The interior design and engineering systems are equally impressive. M/Y Flying Dagger capabilities for a yacht
Again, you take everyone that views your videos to a place that only a small amount of people get to see with their own eyes. Fantastic coverage and information. 💖💖💖
It would be awesome to do a follow up on Flying Dagger now. Do you ever see it in port? Your style is fun. "You could get two supermodels and yourself in there no problem" LOL - most people think it, you SAY IT. ;-)
I really enjoyed the level of detail that you go into as you walk around boats - clearly from your own knowledge of working on super yachts, enjoyed it immensely!
This is Flying Dagger (49/50m, 500GT) by Rossi Navi launched in 2018, it replaced the previous Codecasa designed/built 41m yacht of the same name launched in 2009, just so you can straighten out the description. Stunningly beautiful yacht, fantastic that you got such a great tour on record.
another awesome video! so grateful for the engine room tour. that was a special treat. I really appreciate it when you go into the details, such as pointing out every antennae on the mast. I love that stuff. Thanks for making such great videos!!!
Awesome video, nice that the Chief Engineer showed you around the techy stuff, i guess it helps that you know alot aswell but its good to see not all of them are not talkative
She's not really an expedition yacht, so service intervals shouldn't be a problem. Always good to have an airy engine room regardless but that means sacrifices would have to be made elsewhere
Delta November Have ‘it could be you’. I’m sure if you win there are other things you could buy that would fill the void! Maybe a nice Riva 100 Corsara?
Do more of this! Its very interesting to see your perspective as a super yacht engineer. It would be interesting to see you on tour of a super sailing yacht and get your perspective coming from a motor yacht guy
Are the propulsion Rolls Royce azipull system? From the helm the propulsion controls look just like the rolls Royce propulsion controls. I did hear him say mtu several times lol. Azipull or azipods are supposedly one of the best and quietest propulsion systems out there. The ABB azipods have enabled huge cruise ships to maneuver in crazy ways and have saved them money in tug fees. Just curious on how the boat handles.
Love these super yachts of course, but what do they do on them? I can’t imagine life without some intellectual engagement, but I’m just speaking as a frustrated pianist. Is life really just about relaxing into some kind of oblivion; I think I would go mad were that my life! Too much of a good thing!
I'm half thinking of setting up an interior design agency, and lifting ideas straigth from super yachts, and flogging them as my own originals. I'd say it could be done.
Do marinas have control towers like airports do or is it more like first come first serve ? How navigation works / who controls shipping locations might make a good video topic. (Ie airplanes are controlled end point to end point, are boats fully autonomous?)
If I understand correctly, this yacht has an aircon for the engines? Does the machinery above each engine is AC? If so,than this is one heck of a yacht! Not many yachts require ACing besides forced ventilation! Dry and cool air is great for the engines and performance as well. Shout to the engineer to!
Congratulations for this amazing detailed video! Astonishing yacht! Also great explanation about everything... would be great a video or a series of videos where you could explain how and what a yacht is! 👍👍
Can you do a tour of the WIDER 165? I'm really curious what you think of the fit and finish... Also, the diesel electric system with batteries. BERTH Jetée Lucciana L03 If you have the time that would really be great. A lot of people are interested in this yacht.
Great video, simply amazing yacht. Oh when you were on the top deck you can tell that one guy was rich, he wasn't wearing his sweater he tied it around his neck. Classic sign " I'm rich"
It's hard to know, but most likely a vital access hatch, as putting it in a guest area would only usually happen if there is no alternative. Could have even been an escape hatch from lower decks.
My father was watching this video with me, he was an apprentice engineering back in 1979 on a 100 foot cutter built in 1942, the engines back then were twin straight 8 Allison diesels coupled to reduction gears and the generators were two 4 cylinder diesels, the air conditioning plant was totally different too. He said the engine room was noisy as all hell, smelled strongly of diesel fuel and hot like would wouldn't believe in the summer months. They had to stand 4 hour engine watches down there while underway, times have surely changed I suppose.
Love your content and especially of today how you just give facts and information and not being political, will you start doing some more tours like these again ?
Really good point about dimming the control screens. It sometimes amazes me how much goes into details about things, then one MAJOR point gets totally overlooked (and ruins a $100m dollar piece of work). My main beef with automobiles is that the CD player controls go on the steering wheel, but the cruise control get tacked onto the end of the turn signal level! The main purpose of a car is movement, and the cruise control should be right on the steering wheel where a thumb or index finger can easily adjust it. (But some makers think the CD player or A/C is what a car is all about?? Or an internet display panel where you have to take eyes off the road to see it??)
"Critical" here, but one thing about yachts that amazes me is having TVs and internet and A/C. If you have that kind of money for a yacht, why would you want to go out to sea to watch TV? You can't afford a 55" inch TV in your house or condo?? For my logic, a yacht should be open to the sea air, and one would take it out for the experience of being out on the sea. That experience you cannot get on land. Yachts are for sea; land is TV. The owner of Flying Dagger could spend a month at sea and not even get a tan. Why not rig a room in his house that rocks like a boat, to watch TV?
Looking back on the digital controls ... if you should have a short circuit on that boat that knocks out electric power (you are, after all, surrounded by water, especially in a storm), you're kind of adrift, aren't you? I conclude I don't like the yacht. I'd scrap the luxurious furnishings and electronics. Give me engines, manual controls, navigation, ship-to-shore radio, a nice galley, decent heads, and fresh water, with emergency sail and lifeboat. Put the furnishings (marble is heavy) in my condo in Monaco. (Haha.)
I loved all of your videos even though I myself work on yachts for living. This one was amazing. When the Captain isn’t onboard the Chief Mate/First Mate/Chief officer or Lead Officer is in command of the vessel. The engineers is not in charge because the engineer wouldn’t have the same experience at the helm/pilot house as the Chief officer. I can say this because I am the Chief officer on a 32 meter yacht and when the captain go I am in charge. If me and the captain go the Second officer/Second Mate is in charge. If me the Captain,Second Mate and the Third Mate/Third Officer dies it gets seriously ill that is when the Chief Engineer will be in control and also their will be a red light from the mast on. This Red light means Red,Red the Captain is dead.
I'm not an Yacht expert but... Are you sure this is considered a "small yacht"? Yeah, I know there are those super megayachts and stuff, but they are not just yachts, they are MEGAyachts... And I've seen yachts quite smaller than this one... MUCH smaller. So... I'm not sure if you are right to call this one "small"...
I’m not an expert I’ve just spent 20 years in the maritime industry 10 of which in yachting. Yes it’s small compared to what’s in the industry. ‘Average’ size now is more like 60m and a large ‘SuperYacht’ is 90m and up.
You know, given how so many millionaires and billionaires seem to attract multitudes of attractive women, there must be a correlation with winning, magnetic personalities.
Why do modern M/Y's have a wing station? Seems way easier / better / safer to simply use cameras and/or sensors and stay on the bridge? Additionally, many of the yachts I've seen have a wing station that offers very little in the way of improved sight lines. Seems like a very antiquated approach considering today's technology...
Enjoy your videos. I was hoping to get more of an “ entire “ interior tour. Seemed like a awful lot of time was spent on the master / owners room. Would have liked to see guest cabins , heads, and crew quarters. Not sure if the owner/ staff limited where and what you could show. But next time if possible try to show more of the entire vessel and not focus so much on tiny details that can be explained with voice over rather than film time. Appreciate the video at any case and thanks for sharing it.
Crew area was out of bounds. It was a small yacht so didn’t have an awful lot to see. Also there were other issues like people filming in other areas and limited time available.
eSysman thanks for your reply. I figured it was something like that. Really really enjoy your videos and especially when you post on those gorgeous mega yatchs. Thanks for the great content.
Of all the yacht bloggers out there, you Sir are by far my favorite. You are very natrual on camera and just have a great delivery. I always learn something. Thank you.
Shout out to the very cool Chief Engineer!
Great video. Loved the very subtle background music. The interior design and engineering systems are equally impressive. M/Y Flying Dagger capabilities for a yacht
Again, you take everyone that views your videos to a place that only a small amount of people get to see with their own eyes. Fantastic coverage and information. 💖💖💖
That was an excellent tour of this beautiful yacht. Thanks so much for filming this for us.
Many thanks for the Excellent tour! What a beautiful Yacht! That bridge is unbelievable ! Cheers!
One of the first videos where I could see the quality of the yacht. I imagine it's even more impressive in person. Thanks for sharing.
It would be awesome to do a follow up on Flying Dagger now. Do you ever see it in port?
Your style is fun. "You could get two supermodels and yourself in there no problem" LOL - most people think it, you SAY IT. ;-)
Very obliging Chief Officer, your videos are exceptional as you don’t waste words and are very informative…..thank you for your efforts.
The Chief Engineer. What a great guy! 👍👍
I really enjoyed the level of detail that you go into as you walk around boats - clearly from your own knowledge of working on super yachts, enjoyed it immensely!

Nice boat, and very cool Chief there, thanks for the walk around
Awesome video. We saw much, much more than expected. Thanks to the Chief Engineer.
This captain was a gentleman and really cool person easy going to talk to . Great video
*Chief Engineer
another awesome video! so grateful for the engine room tour. that was a special treat.
Beautiful boat 🚣♀️!
Liked the master private balcony !!
This is perfect size for me and 5 super models !!
A new fan of the super yacht.Stunning design and engineering .🤠🤠
My favorite boat tour. Especially the bridge and engineering spaces!
That was fascinating to see the engine room! Thank you for showing us that and thanks to the yacht!
That was fantastic thanks for the tour of this amazing motor yacht 🛥
Chief really hooked you up, I think he’s proud of the girl. Don’t blame him
Dear Sir, you are a real gentleman. And you sertainly now were you talking about. Very well done, from the Netherlands.
thx for the tour you have the best yacht channel hands down, son
Nice Man. Very Cordial
Awesome video, The walkaround tour of the interior was superb also thanks for explaining what gear they use & what it does.
Great job.
The best quality and shiny and spotless and nothing out of place.
Beautiful. Audio is pretty low on the video though.
Another TH-cam stuff up,did not hear a word they said.Very disappointing
That was by far the most comprehensive review I have ever seen in a boat video. I mean, you even covered the light switches. Nicely done!
Beautiful yacht. I love the engine room.
You were right yesterday, Moran Yachts & Ships has M/Y Kismet on sale for owner Kahn.
That was a great tour!!!! Nicely installed!!
Absolutely wicked vid on Flying Dagger. Very compact engine room, I am guessing the maintenance is not going to be that intense.
She's not really an expedition yacht, so service intervals shouldn't be a problem. Always good to have an airy engine room regardless but that means sacrifices would have to be made elsewhere
Just saw this. Beautifully done video. Please do more interior videos.
Great tour They were receptive Thank you once again
Looking forward to watching this! ....And yes AMAZING!!!! nice Chief Engineer too! He'll have his work cut out.
What an amazing vessel. Maybe tonight’s Euromillions will be mine.
I still don’t think you’d have enough to run this!
eSysman Unfortunately we’ll never know. It’s rolled over right Euro £144m on Friday.
Delta November Have ‘it could be you’. I’m sure if you win there are other things you could buy that would fill the void! Maybe a nice Riva 100 Corsara?
eSysman That Riva is gorgeous. Dreaming costs nothing eh?
Another awesome video..thank you Sir..
Do more of this! Its very interesting to see your perspective as a super yacht engineer. It would be interesting to see you on tour of a super sailing yacht and get your perspective coming from a motor yacht guy
Yeah right. He’s not gonna do that.
Are the propulsion Rolls Royce azipull system? From the helm the propulsion controls look just like the rolls Royce propulsion controls.
I did hear him say mtu several times lol.
Azipull or azipods are supposedly one of the best and quietest propulsion systems out there.

Just curious on how the boat handles.
The C/E was great... that monitoring system is something else.
what a beauty!! And great walk-thru
Wow! Very impressive. Well done
Great video, more...
Amazing boat,,,,,thanks for sharing this video,,,,
Love these super yachts of course, but what do they do on them? I can’t imagine life without some intellectual engagement, but I’m just speaking as a frustrated pianist. Is life really just about relaxing into some kind of oblivion; I think I would go mad were that my life! Too much of a good thing!
fascinating video ....revealing the mysteries of those domes on the mast and the engine room
I'm half thinking of setting up an interior design agency, and lifting ideas straigth from super yachts, and flogging them as my own originals. I'd say it could be done.
I’m about to upload another video which will give you more ideas
Check out Terence Tisdale designs
Do marinas have control towers like airports do or is it more like first come first serve ? How navigation works / who controls shipping locations might make a good video topic. (Ie airplanes are controlled end point to end point, are boats fully autonomous?)

Enjoyed the video, but I’d also like to see the state rooms, reception rooms, deck spaces, galley, crew area, etc!
There are limits set as to where you can go.
I'll try to get onboard, however not all yachts are allowing even people with press credentials to go onboard.
Very cool that you got to see the engine room, very tidy as well
Very nice tour and the chief engineer was great. Where the engines Rolls Royce? Or what did the RR represent?
The KameWa (or however they're spelt lol) water jets are by Roller
Nice tour and of course who better to give a tour than "Scotty" who knows all the technical details :-)
Haha
Great video, simply amazing yacht. Oh when you were on the top deck you can tell that one guy was rich, he wasn't wearing his sweater he tied it around his neck. Classic sign " I'm rich"
Just because a guy looks the part doesn't mean he is. Monaco is full of wannabes.
Thanks for the insight and access. Audio track is a bit bad but so what.
Fantastic quality , i would want to live on there
Another amazing Job! Thank you very much
What are those hatches on the floor generally used for? And how long did he said it took to be built?
It's hard to know, but most likely a vital access hatch, as putting it in a guest area would only usually happen if there is no alternative. Could have even been an escape hatch from lower decks.
That would have been some in depth handover , engineer really has to know his stuff and pick it up pronto
Well done mate.
Nice tour. Can you do Dildar ?
My father was watching this video with me, he was an apprentice engineering back in 1979 on a 100 foot cutter built in 1942, the engines back then were twin straight 8 Allison diesels coupled to reduction gears and the generators were two 4 cylinder diesels, the air conditioning plant was totally different too. While some positions must be filled by males, because of physical strength or experience. Is it possible to have a mostly or all female crew?
Can you get a video tour of the M/Y Flying Dutchman?
Love your content and especially of today how you just give facts and information and not being political, will you start doing some more tours like these again ?
Excellent tour :-)
outstanding video
Some of the audio levels when inside the boat were way too low. Even with my smartfone fully cranked up, some speech was difficult to understand 🤔
Problem here was they had music playing all over the boat. So I had to put music over the top of it otherwise I might have got a copyright strike.
holy s...! 😲
this stuff is just gorgeous!
Nice Job! Thanks for sharing!
great video thanks so much for making this!!

Thanks, glad you like them. Yeah I was just joking with the chief, as I'm in that department.
eSysman oh okay not a problem. I am happy for you that you’re in the department.
Zed's Dead Baby, Zed's Dead
Another nice vid. Chief engineer should have is own channels
How much can it cost or would it be the price of this yacht today in 2023?
Serious question: It's cheap for the quality and size of the yacht, no? For 11.3million Euros
Does the bridge have a stand along old analog compass?
Yes they all have a magnetic compass
Did i see correctly - a fender fender ?

Wow 👀 how much is yacht cost
Does it have a tender and a couple jet skis?
It has a tender (he shows me the tender garage in the video) not sure about Jet Skis though.
Does it have a tender tender?
This yacht was put up for sale in February this year.
seen about ten of your vids. Thanks...audio is really soft.
great walkthrough, but you really need to work on audio. Background music drowns out much.
Unfortunately they had ambient music playing throughout the boat. I had to add my own to prevent a copyright claim.
@@YachtReport sure, but with better use of your mic(s) the voices would be much better.

You got your super model(s)all ready to go and you have to peel off 8 pillows that lay on that bed ... No thank you!!!
wonder what the max range is on this Yacht
lee adams according to Boat International her range is 3300 NM. Top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots. Cheers!
That's a lot of tech for just one engineer!
love this viideo
Enjoy your videos. I was hoping to get more of an “ entire “ interior tour. Seemed like a awful lot of time was spent on the master / owners room. I'm pretty sure Rolls Royce aerospace controls would not use a crimp type hydraulic hose.
Hot dog! That’s a nice boat
Very interesting many thanks
Fantastic thank you
