I recently play Resident Evil Outbreak again, and I think it would be great to organize all endings in 16:9 HD format.

I love Mark, David and Kevin’s special endings. They refused to die without a fight, despite knowing they’re carriers, despite knowing the nuke is about to drop. I refuse to die without blood on blade.

George and Cindy's special ending feels like the one true ending of the game. I mean, look how synchronized the main theme song is to the actions on-screen! And the timing makes the destruction feel so sorrowful and emotional. The other endings are scored like a Cabin-in-the-woods action film...
Its kinda sad that these great character were so underused...

If it had been more popular and had a less difficult way of playing online the I'm sure Capcom would have used them nore
quick note for anyone curious;
Zombie ending: Don't cure yourself of the T virus before you get out of the city.
Regret ending: Escape from the city after using daylight on yourself, but don't bring any spares.
Hopeful ending: Cure yourself with Daylight and escape with a backup vaccine.

I find the bad helicopter endings really fascinating. The ending lines are clear insights as to what succumbing to the virus and accepting the change feels like.
Yeah, AFAIK this is the only time in the history of RE that we see into the psyche of a zombie

I thought the regretful endings were when they were cured but didn't have a sample of the daylight to use to mass produce? The full on zombie endings were the ones they didn't have the vaccine or take it, am I wrong?
@@ShockerTopper There are two types of bad endings. The remourseful ending is when you use the cure on yourself but don't have an extra sample, and the "zombie chopper" ending where you leave the city still infected.

The fact that they managed to fix up a M8 Greyhound(a 1940s armored car) in Mark and David's ending before the bombs hit is amazing
David is a good mechanic and mark was a soldier in vietnam so they both knew how to repair and drive the vehicle respectively

George and Cindy ending was the best because, they may not had a long time together but, I can see the deep feelings for each other. At least they had someone to end their journey with. Also, Alyssa and Yoko ending; the best of friends.

I always thought that Kevin was going to end up with Cyndi, because whenever he played with Kevin and they put Cyndi on it helped him a lot, they also deserved a special ending, but in my opinion the best ending was that of Kevin and Jim

I gave Outbreak alot of shit when it first came out but looking back, as an adult and with experience in things..it was amazing considering what they had
The epilogue is insane. Seeing Raccoon after it's sanitation broke my heart, and the music is so damning. Goddamn, beautiful.

The Chad ending: Stay behind, repair a military truck and die killing zombies/Fight face to face to Thanatos under a rain of nuclear missiles

Technically yes. But from the discussion on steam forum it was more like because this was an old project for capcom and they moved on to more new project to do. I do really wish the network play would be revived one day.
Makes you even wonder who escaped and died, the only confirmed that survived here is Alyssa in RE7
Alyssa and Yoko are confirmed survivors. Alyssa with her article in Re7 and Yoko and her court case which was a main contributor in taking down Umbrella prior to Re4.
Considering that both file 1 and 2 endings are canon, I would say they all have survived, 4 of them in the first game and the other 4 on the second
@@yunjin909 On top of that, on the Marhawa Desire manga (which is a prequel to RE6) briefly mentions Daylight as the main method of dealing with an outbreak of the T-Virus, further proving that both outbreak games are canon to the main storyline
Then again i believe it was confirmed that the outbreak survivors managed to survive
Going by the fact that the Outbreak games have a four player limit, I would say that four of the characters survived and the other four were left behind. For the survivors, my money would be on Alyssa, Yoko, George, and Cindy. For the ones left behind, my bet would be on Kevin, Mark, Jim, and David.
On a sidenote, I think Alyssa, Yoko, George, and Cindy can combat the Umbrella Corporation the hardest as survivors of the outbreak. Alyssa and her stories can combat them in the press. Yoko and her court testimonies can combat them in the legal system. George and Cindy can combat Umbrella's viruses and bio-hazards in the medical field.
the secret endings make sense. they're just tales of raccoon survivors caught up in the outbreak. but for them to never leave doesn't change the outcome and stays true to the actual storyline. file 1 & 2 are seriously dedicated Re titles.
George and Cindy's ending was the saddest in my opinion. But, it's the way that everyone embraces death that makes all the endings bittersweet, in that; after everything you went through only to end up staying behind but for a good cause. At least they die honorably with some leaking info out to the world about umbrella while others try to cope with the thought of being caught in the nuclear blast. I wouldn't call them good or bad endings (except for the being infected and getting on the helicopter) but just the ending you happen to get. REO! :3

I loved the endings where the survivors ended up staying behind to get caught in the blast and embraced death moments before. It really sets the whole Raccoon City Stage apart from most other games to know that not everyone in the series was lucky enough to get out in time and others got left behind and sacrificed themselves. Outbreak was a great example of untrained unprepared people doing their best to survive as long as they could.

George/Cindy & Alyssa/Yoko special endings makes me so vulnerable and emotional , the moment when they stared at missiles, knowing that they'll hit them but they still didn't flinch or panic because they accepted their fates.

Give it the same treatment as Resi2? I mean there's already news of Resi3 remake and all of these games happened in Raccoon City; not that much to do in terms of setting, etc.

I absolutely love it when the ost the extermination keeps playing when they turn in to a zombie and attack the pilot in chopper zombie endings. It makes it feel all the worse for getting that ending along with the grim inner monologues

After almost 16 years, I managed to finish this legendary masterpiece when I became an adult. I played this game, first game was Resident Evil Outbreak file 2. When I was a child in 2007 (I don't remember exactly what month), the cover of Outbreak file 2 was so captivating so I bought it (unfortunately in the beginning of PlayStation 2, we used to purchase pirated copies of PS2 CDs games).
I played almost all the scenarios of Outbreak 2, I didn't understand English at all. I adore this game so much because it presented a survival horror in a new concept in the 2003 and 2004. That was amazing game
The endings where Yoko/Alyssa and Cindy/George die in the city are so beautiful
I know that I sound like a noob for saying this, but just wanna check if I figured it out right, to get the various endings I have to do this:
Regretful Ending: The player survivor's vaccined, but have no extra sample & either one, or 2 survivors died
Zombie Ending: Being the only survivor without being vaccined, nor having an extra sample of Daylight
Hopeful Ending: Everyone survived, vaccined & have an extra sample of Daylight

Sad how a spin-off title has a better scene of Raccoon City's destruction than RE3 Remake...
You can see how the youngest characters are the ones who are uncomfortable or sad for staying behind in the city, and how each of them had someone to comfort them, Cindy had George, Yoko had Alyssa, and Jim had Kevin.
Something I like the director of this game and resident evil 6 is that this guy always like to show the effects the virus has on a population I mean in this game he showed groups of people trying to live something other games didn’t bother or couldn’t do. Instead of you alone all the time he wanted you with people stuck in the same situation as you and I like that.
Well the remake let us see a more tragic face of the T Virus outbreak and how it affect people, i think the best examples of this is Kendo's and his daughter and Brad when he says sorry to Marvin
@@vard1865 yup honestly I feel the best one of those scenes was Marvin’s death it just hit hard since we see his slow death. Brad was near twist but what sucks about it is that it doesn’t lead to anything then a split second mind fuck. And kendo’s daughter was pretty sad.

Hopeful: Same as Regretful but with a spare Daylight.

Specials: End game with those respective characters alive but infected.

It's still theories if all the outbreak characters are canon or not really Leon, Claire, Ada, Sherry, Jill, Hunk, Nicholai (unknown) and Carlos are the known only raccoon city survivors the outbreak characters are not mention in any other installments of especially Rita she was suppose to testify against umbrella but she wasn't mention in 5 but the resident evil wiki counts all the outbreak characters as survivors from the city destruction.
Yeah we don't know which endings are real from outbreak 1 and 2 we just know they all escape the city before it was destroyed Nicholai we don't know if Jill killed him or not she did however said nicholai took the last helicopter which mean she did jump off the bridge to escape memesis but Linda and Yoko suppose to testify against umbrella and in 5 chris mention something about the fall of umbrella but the outbreak characters are irrelevant they just civilians.
