This is some of the best handpan playing I've ever heard. I literally opened the box for my first handpan today! I've wanted for about 10 years. This is super inspiring!
There's also lot of movements and note patterns here that aren't too rhythmically different from what's common in metal! It's really all kinds of amazing. I need to go look if there's any metal songs that use this instrument now lol

It's like running in an opened field with the wind against my face , getting through my clothes , washing me out from all that is caused by the past . I feel like I can see my true self in this rhythm . I'm fast , as fast as a light . He's dancing at my skin with his fingers . So beautiful

A little known fact is that you can do this in some forests, and it will attract monks. I had one come right up and meditate near me. It helps if you leave out some tea and a bowl of rice. They become more docile if you nourish them.

I saw some musicians using that technique in other videos and it causes the note to quiver/waver (I’m not sure of the right word for that affect). A brilliant show of skill and genius as you mentioned.
I just received my first handpan and this is the track I send everyone to when they ask "what's a handpan?" It just has it all... BTW, for those interested, Malte has put the full notation for this song in Notepan. I've found it a fascinating way to actually see all the variety of rhythms and melodies he builds around common chord themes.

I saw some musicians using that technique in other videos and it causes the note to quiver/waver (I’m not sure of the right word for that affect). A brilliant show of skill and genius as you mentioned.

I just received my first handpan and this is the track I send everyone to when they ask "what's a handpan?" It just has it all...
BTW, for those interested, Malte has put the full notation for this song in Notepan. I've found it a fascinating way to actually see all the variety of rhythms and melodies he builds around common chord themes.
