The attention to detail, problem solving and overall creativity is just oozing from this video and you can tell your business has really lit you up in a different way. It’s a joy to witness!! 💘
First of all the love and joy you put into your doodles and making that booth just perfect is mind blowing!! Such hard work and it shows how much you love what you’re doing! I was proud to be able to be there and watch you do your thing!!❤❤❤
I’m soooo proud of you and JPD! It’s so cool to see these opportunities come for you and I’m so jealous of everyone that gets to see your art in person haha. But also! Translations for JPD sounds like a fantastic idea- as a bilingual (Eng & Spa), I can definitely see how that would be incredibly valuable for your home customers. Cool things to explore! (And hey if you ever want to translate to Spanish I would also DIE at the cuteness lol)
My dad is a small business owner for his artwork too! Growing up I was always helping him, even into my adult years as his business has grown I still help him. He works out of his home so everything is done by him. There’s so much work and thought that goes into everything, not one detail hasn’t been thought over at least 100 times. It’s so fun to see how you have built your business and getting to see the behind the scenes of actually making the products with the machines. I have such an appreciation and understanding of your passion!!
On the receipt bookmark, girls who get it, get it. XD It's one of those things that if you are a bookish person, it is 100% charming and silly, but if you're not bookish, then it'll probably be a confused look and like ...okay? Which is the BEST bookmark designs in my opinion :)
So fun to watch this, Jamie!!! Love your products, I've gifted friends of mine the Long Story Short bookmark and Emotional Support Book one and they loved them! Was super excited to see the email with the new drop, the purple foil colorway on Emotional Support is especially drool-worthy! And I also got your makeup organizing stickers with my recent order, so excited for my happy mail! Thanks for being your amazing self, wishing you and your fam a joyous holiday
I watch this video over so many times because it’s so calming! Love watching your behind the scenes of JamiePaigeDoodles! I have items in the cart right now but cant seem to decide btwn teal or sage green bookmark!!
Patiently awaiting my order to arrive! So many of my loved ones are getting cat or dog totes. Wish I had a "ask me about my dog" hat to wear on our walkies. Thank you for spreading a little light heartedness into the world Jamie!
obsessed with every piece of content you create. I'm visiting Montreal for the first time in January (I'm from Philly), and I'm so excited. Need to start researching what to do.
I loved this video! I knew you had a business but seeing the ins and outs and all details, it actually made me look at your website. I'm excited to order some stuff and I can't wait ❤
Jamie I’m not a vlog person but I loved this one. Also loved your products so much - such a shame I live so far away and can’t get it online. I would purchase so many bookmarks and all the cat stuff. Congrats 🥹❤️
I went to your toronto pop-up and it was so lovely to see your creations and you in person! I love that everything is made local :') Sorry to hear the bad customer experience, hope you don't let it get to you, montreal exclusives might be a fun addition to your line up!
I quit my computer science job 20 years ago to create my dream job. Opening my painting studio that was also a painting school. This dream job lead me to create painting designs patterns packet that was sold to art painting supplies stores amoung the province, country and even to other continent, teaching, selling painting supplies, extending it to scrapbooking and card making, exhibit my arts at craft shows in Toronto and at the Palais des congrès at Montreal several years in a row. My family was driving 8 hours to join the adventure for the annual shows. I enjoyed that period of my life. My painting than brought me to do a master degree in art restoration in Florence Italy where I extended my skills to restore renaissance art in a studio also in Florence where I moved few years. Back to Canada (with my Italian husband that I met there) we now live in the north of Quebec where it is difficult to have people interrested in there kind of things so I returned to be a computer scientist but transformed my art and chemestry skills to becomming a makeup artist as weekend job. I needed some kind of way to be able to play with brushes, colors, pigments.... So now, as my husband say" I restore faces instead of a 400 years old painting.
@@JamiePaigeI was totally going to comment this! I find if it’s a more “fragile” surface (like paper vs plastic or metal) it helps to use old transfer tape, like stick it to your pants a couple times first so it isn’t so sticky, and then do your transfer! It should still be sticky enough to pick up your letters but not to wreck your paper when you peel it off! Just a suggestion, I have also hand-stuck many letters haha Loved seeing your market setup!
everytime you mention gus, lol and aww. wonder if the spicy bookmarks didn't sell bc people are way more willing to admit they read smutty romantasy online than in the sunday morning daylight of the market. they know who they are tho
Loved this vlog so much! It’s so nice to see your creative small business thriving! Especially as a long time francophone follower also living in Québec! (Hello from Lac-Saint-Jean!) I am so sorry for the bad experience you had with that lady. I would like no French speaker to personalize through this type of individual interaction the issues experienced by the Québec French speaking community regarding the protection of our language. These issues are not the fault neither the responsability of a local small business owner and never will be. Je suis vraiment désolée que ça te sois arrivé, ça n’était pas mérité! Et je dis ouiiii pour l’ajout de produits en français! C’est une excellente idée! Your products and business values are great! Félicitations pour ta belle entreprise Jamie!
Love the grocery list! Do you think one day you’ll have it in neutrals? Like taupe, tan, brown or black? Or even gold. I’m just thinking for all us neutral home color palette girlies
Hey Jamie! Would love to know your filming set up, specifically what camera do you use? I’m starting to get into vlogging and am looking for a good filming camera (but hopefully not on bulky and easy to carry around)
I loved loved loved this video! It made me wish I could come see you at a market, but sadly, I don't live in Canada. This made me even more excited for the creators market I'm going to visit this weekend in Paris! Also, I always find it so cute when we hear you speak French. This is very stupid of me but I'm always surprised to hear you speak French with a French Canadian accent, but of course it makes sense since you're in Montreal 😂😂 As a translator, I'm very curious: do you make sure to translate in FR Canadian to adapt to your market or just general French? What you said about having French products makes so much sense. Please do make sure to hire local translators to help you out and make sure your products actually sound fluent in French and not awkward (sorry you had to deal with mean customers 🙄🙄🙄 people are so rude)
As a future teacher I would love if you came out with some rubber stamps 😊 thank you for making our world a little bit brighter! ❤ Lots of love from germany!
I have already bought 3 book marks from your previous collections but I now feel I need the crimped receipt and spicy book marks - is there a limit to how many books one can have going at the same time? 😅 p.s. plz come to a market in Vancouver!
As a fellow born and bred Montrealer who grew up in the East End in a French-speaking household, I am SO sorry about your unfortunate encounter with an embarrassing member of ‘my people’… Most of us are nice and good and charming I promise!!!
Maybe you can put the bookmark inside a book in your station at the pop up (so instinctively people will understand) (: Ps: WOULD LOOOOOVE TO SEE AN OVERSIZED TEE SAYING “I RATHER STAY WITH MY DOG” Also, best of lucks + YT is not notifying me your uploads 💔
Has the Canada Post strike really affected your online shop? It’s been so difficult to Christmas shop online this year so I imagine it has and I really hope especially for the sake of small businesses it’s resolved soon!
I would for sure buy French products! So sorry that the women was mean to you, you are located in Montréal so I wouldn't expect someone to speak french

🥹🥰
I think you should make a tiny display or frame a picture of gus so everyone can see where your inspiration comes from 🥹
Omg my sister said the same thing!! I really should haha

please look into transfer tape to keep you from having to place each individual vinyl letter. Its such a time saver
saw the receipt bookmark and just had to make an order (of course I bought more than I expected haha). love everything you do xx
tiff is everything!!!
This is so adorable 😭 my dream is you doing a market in vancouver so i could actually attend! ❤

I LOVE these videos! 😊
i simply cannot WAIT for planners.

Transfer tape is a lifesaver for letters!
i tried to use the transfer tape, but it destroyed my paper lmao

hahhaha thats very true
Whaaaaat! French is my first language and i would buy every english things you had on that table! 😉 sorry for that one mean french lady 🙄
you should setup an ipad on your table if you can find room that shows clips of all the making of the products
You need to use transfer vinyl for your letters! You do NOT need to individually place them 😅

Yey 🎉
You should write a brief one-sentence explanation to display with the receipt bookmarks just in case you’re busy with another customer at the time
Why don’t you ship to UK 😢😢😢😢
I do!! :)
❤❤❤❤
Anyone here screaming cuz jamie is not using transfer paper for the vinyl letters? Thats tedious af to do individually lol
hahah the transfer paper i was using kept ripping my paper so i gave up
@ thats so frustrating!!! That sucks! Sorry that happened
I think the key chain PG is super cute and funny but a bit too large....
I would for sure buy French products! So sorry that the women was mean to you, you are located in Montréal so I wouldn't expect someone to speak french
