I raced the 125 and 250 classes on these CR Red Rockets in the late 70s and they certainly where Red Rockets..Only problem I experienced from stock during racing speeds is once they got going the brakes would heat up and fade away reducing their efficiency..which made you slow down or die.

My Ossa yellow gripper 350 1980 model had the tank and side panels were all one pice.
I like the cotton Mx bike. That would make a good vintage Mx bike.
Wow the CR is sweet. I started Mx in 1980 and I hated to line up with the CR’s. I was on an 1980YZ.
The all red rockets were something else. The good old days the 70s.
The first orange KTM. lol 😂 what a beautiful bike.
Twin exhaust is slick on the custom Honda JHR bike.
The Triumph would make a good looking pice setting in the living room. One thang above the color it’s the only one like ever.
It would look good setting next my ossa in my living room. I have the same gas cap on mine. Who would have thought that. lol
That also is a good looking red rocket. It would also be a good racer.
I wish I still had all the bikes I’ve ever owned. Just over 120 used ones and I’m on my 40th new bike now. I would need a bigger shop that’s for sure.
Thanks for sharing your time and videos with us and me my friend.

Chris - set me straight on this: Didn't the Rotax 2-stroke, like used in the Cotton trials bike, use a rotary valve intake or am I mixed up? I've ridden Can-Ams with the engine(not my bike) and I was thinking that they had rotary valve engines. Nice upload as usual. Tom

This world is weird, being kicked off a track for WHAT? illegal filming, what ever that is! 📽 🎬

    • @monticlassictv

Hi EK yeah my arse was kicked off the Farleigh Castle grounds because they had a so called “Professional” video crew doing a DVD of the 2013 event and when they knew I was not involved with the so called professionals they booted my arse of the track. But the good news is that their video was a complete flop and the DVD was a disaster.

@@monticlassictv You should have left your business card. Either the film crew or Farleigh Castle Marketing might have reached out to you after watching their video film.

I live 2mins from the track at farleigh and went to every GP since 1977.
I used to walk around the track and wonder at the huge collection of classic bikes at the vets mxdn on a Friday afternoon it was a real treat.
Then sadly they told me in order to come in on a Friday I needed to buy a ticket for the weekend.
Not been back since ,thought that was a bit mean 😕
