I have the Exos 58 and I love it! My first trip with it was this last weekend. I was closer to 40 lbs. and it was still comfy and carried almost as well as my Atmos 65 AG.
Didnt initially need a 58, but backpacking with kids, im fine being the mule. Was jealous of my sons mystery ranch but it carries heavy, so i tried out the exos. Just used this for the first time over the weekend and didn't even notice the bottom water access until your video. Great review.
Awesome review! This bag appeared on my radar when the one I was looking for Neve Gear Wallaby was on back order. Thank you for the detailed review and for highlighting the waist strap feature as I was looking for an answer on that.
@@MFRiley it's built better and carries the same weight better and makes the load feel lighter, also the back panel as got better ventilation and is adjustable torso on the Exos. The Focal is 100 grams lighter and the side pockets slightly better but that's about all its got going for it over the Exos in my opinion.
Just bought this pack on 5/19/23. Thank you so much for the review! Didn’t realize all those features. What size/type of watter bladder would you recommend?
I agree but some people don’t go for only one day and want a pack wide enough to be able to carry bear canister inside which is why the 58. And 35 lbs can be lot of stuff

Amazing review, thanks for your effort to make this video. It's very detailed and helpful. I've always loved the Exos series from Osprey!

Great review, great looking pack.
Great review
I prefer the Exos over the Focal, I have both
Why do you prefer the Exos?

@@antduke2361 what about the side straps for the Focal? I know on the Exos, the straps get in the way if you have water bottles in the side pockets
Thank you for this awesome video ! Just a little question, How tall are you ? ty
I’m 5’7
What do you mean with the waterproof level? Is it possible for rain to come into the inside of the bag?
It isn’t water proof. Best to throw necessary items in a nyloflume liner / dry sacks. For gulley washers a pack cover goes a long way as well.

3L bladder should fit nicely
@@BackcountryRenegade thanks for the tip! Osprey brand?
@@cwesley2005 that’s what I’d recommend as it has the connection points meant for their packs
What size do you use?
Is this too big to be a carryon when on an airline?
Good review. Baad music so not necessary.
I see you also have a Hyperlite backpack, which one is more comfortable? Osprey or hyperlite?
Hello, Why would you buy a 58 bag to only use 35lb? better buy a small one for only one day!
