I just made this and it tastes really good! I used Woodford reserve for the bourbon, fresh onions, added a little more brown sugar and used cayenne pepper instead of Sriracha. Thank you! 🌷
Madonna Gagnon awe ... thank you so much! The vase was purchased by my husband from a local artisan but the flowers are inexpensive silk ones I purchased on sale at local craft stores 😉
Hi Carol, I made this recipe today and put it on some smoked chicken thighs. It was amazing. Great recipe, i was confused at first with your se of T vs t for measurements. I figured it out soon enough. Thanks for sharing. I improvised and used Jim Beam Apple Bourbon and apple butter as I haven’t made your boiled cider just yet. Fantastic on chicken and probably equally good on pork.
Looks 😋..I love your twinkling eyes went you speak so passionately about your bbq sauce 🥰 i now know what I will use my homemade apple butter on. Thx marie from 🇨🇦
This looks and sounds delicious! If I want to make a larger batch to can, how long would I process it and would it be water bath or pressure canned? I am thinking Christmas gifts! Thanks for the idea and video!
Short of Vintage Oldstead hi! There are no USDA guidelines for canning this that I can find. However, I know fruit syrups are safe for canning and I found a recipe for apple cinnamon syrup in my Ball canning book. The processing time for water bath is 10 minutes (adjust for altitude if necessary), 1/4” headspace. So can at your discretion 😊
I made the cider yesterday and want to make a big batch of BBQ sauce to gift for xmas. Can I water bath it after making it to preserve it? Would it be for 15 mins again?
Yes, technically it’s not a “tested” recipe as is but everything in it is safe for canning and a similar recipe from Ball is WB canned for 15 minutes 😊
This looks so good! I am starting to gather my recipes that I will need for our large family camping trip. We take our horses every year and camp, ride through the Smoky Mts, and cook great food for a week! It is a wonderful time, and cooking is a big part of our trip. I am going to make this and have it ready for the trip! Thank you so much for sharing! I happen to have the Makers Mark, which I think needs to be used up so this is perfect! Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Carol! This is the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever had! Just made a double batch and took some to my sisters and she had made chicken barbecue so we topped it with this sauce. We all thought the same. It doesn’t make a lot so I’m already making another triple batch. I’d like to be able to give some as Christmas gifts (but not too much haha). Thank you for another wonderful recipe!!
Wow I can't wait to make this. I have a question I am new to canning. If I made a bigger batch of this could I can it? If so how long would I leave it in water bath? Thank you!
Another wonderful recipe that I can’t wait to make. I had to make another recipe of your zesty bread and butter pickles because my daughters and their families loved them so much! Nope, they didn’t make more than a couple days before digging in! You are so sweet and have exactly what I look for in your videos! You are also so very pretty!

Love your recipes. Simply ingredients and easy to follow directions.
I love the floral piece you have in your hutch. Gorgeous!

This BBQ sauce looks so good... can I can it ?
Peter Deschane it’s addicting 😂 but I’m not sure on the canning. It’s not a tested recipe so I’ll let you use you’re own discretion 😊
omy such goodness ty

Brinda De Leon-Fisher hi! Unfortunately I cannot find a tested recipe similar to this so I can’t give guidance on canning it. 💕Carol
Thank you so much I really appreciate your feedback.
Is this safe for canning?
I don’t have processing times for this recipe
can i home canning this or does it need to be refrigerated?
veronica logan just refrigerate. It will keep about 2 months 😊
Is there anything you can use to substitute the liquid smoke with?
Brit Lee you can just leave it out. There’s really nothing else that provides the same flavor 😊
Thrifty Chic Housewife okay I just wasn’t sure if there was anything else. Could be canned and saved longer than two months in the refrigerator?
Brit Lee this isn’t a tested recipe for canning so I can’t give you instructions for canning. Sorry 💕Carol
@@carol-thriftychichousewife6231 Maybe some crisp bacon, applewood smoked of course.
Numero Uno, Primo, First, #1...
