you can use search in the modifier also you can use 12345 for vertex edge poly border poly and element.....you don't need to click every time for the selection
The soul is the animatable object that gives life to the body. :) If the body is directly animated as a cloth, it will go limp and collapse like a fireman's hose without water in it.
the tutorial is awesome but why you made that complicated navigation clicking so many times on the viewport...It can easily access through the mouse wheel and you can also change the interaction mode in Maya
Hello Thanks for this very interresting tutorial. I tried to apply it to a rope linked to 2 boxes. The thing is that the lengh of my rope changes as if it was rubber, how can i avoid that please ?
@@Pixelsplasher Thanks but unfortunatly i can't obtain the good result. I did set Stretchiness = 0 and Stiffness =1 but length of my rope still changes.
@@Pixelsplasher I'm a beginner, it's not that easy to uv unwrap this types of cords, if you want to apply a texture like a climbing cord... but I will search for a tutorial about this, thanks anyway.
@@ricr8987 Hi, you have to check generate mapping coordinates in rendering rollout of the line. then you have to apply Unwrap UVW on it. when you open UV editor from that, You got Square UV Island.👍

Select "rope soul", then adjust Stretchiness and Stiffness in the Physical Fabric Properties rollout of the mCloth modifier settings.

For anyone, the last thing you need to do in order for the skin wrap to work is animate. If you animate first it will detach from the cable. Silly me

You will need to create a particle emitter that emits balls applied with collision object and Gravity Space Warp.
