Recently installed D yeah racing steel axles in my TRX6. Had the exact same issue with the middle axle dif-lock not functioning. Thanks for clarifying! Love your videos, great to listen to your voice while I’m working on the builds.
I've been running the front axle for a long while cause my triple 7 servo mangled up all the plastic panhard bits. Only thing I noticed, outside a stronger steering setup, is less turning. Yeah racing housings and GRC ackermann steering setup. Not worth it imho. The hot racing panhard mount on the plastic housing and a 20kg servo is better since there is give and I don't break parts all the time.
Just installed the front axle on my TRX4 2021 Bronco. Going to install the rear tomorrow. Haven’t tested the running yet but as far as the install definitely use the provided hardware, some of the Traxxas hardware I found was too long like the diff cover bolts. I went ahead and installed the overdrive gear while I was in there and for some reason even though I used a Traxxas ring and pinion the Traxxas hardware dug into the axle housing. Of course I didn’t find out until I test ran it. Pulled it all back out and used the smaller screws for the pinion and it fit perfectly. Some tricks I learned were if you have the splash guards, remove the front rock light covers if you don’t have lights and then you can access the top kingpin bolts easier to remove. I didn’t have too many issues with the locker cable though. One tip is when you reinstall the snap end to go onto the servo, place the cable into the holder and then slightly adjust the cap until it rests right over the servo and press on. Great video!
Nice testing on smooth climbing! 😀 TRX6 almost🤔 needed a ESS stimulator motor effects, make this truck more power to the next level.😉 nice product installment.👍😎🧙🧐
I'm planning on a mega TRX6 build that will bring it up to 6.8-7.3kg RTR. Obviously being super heavy, would it sacrifice crawling ability by too much for trail crawling? Won't be doing any high speed bashing or comp crawling. The body will be a UMG10 with lots of 3D printed parts. (very heavy on its own ~2kg) Power system: AXE550 3300kv Steering servo: Holmes SHV500 V3 Tyres: Proline Krawler 1.9s with dual stage foams rated for heavy rigs Wheels: heavy metal beadlocks Axles: Debating on getting these Yeah Racing metal axle housings with alu. knuckles, C hubs and covers. OR just alu. knuckles, C hubs, covers, axle panhard mount, with stock axle housings. Won't even be thinking of brass since that'll most definitely be way too heavy for my build. The reason I'll be using any metal parts for the axles is because it'll already be pretty heavy with the body, which will cause a lot of stress to the axles so I will need stronger parts to take the load. But doing so adds more weight which affects crawling (probably in a negative way if too heavy). Without any axle upgrades it'll be at 6.3kg. With the lot of alloy axle parts including housings it'll be at ~7.3kg, but I can do some weight reduction which can bring it back down to 6.8kg. If I go with just the alu. knuckles, C hubs, covers, and panhard mount it'll be approximately 6.5kg, with weight reduction bringing it back down to 6.0kg. Will appreciate any help input, thanks in advance!
the only time the trx6 axles will fill with water is when you learn radio does not travel very far underwater so its stuck 4ft deep while you find a long stick to fish it out
Very nice! My new Capra has metal axles, loving the low CG compared to my Gen8 Axe loaded up with scale gear. What is the electric screwdriver you use? Does it have adjustable speed/torque?
I'm done with Yeah Racing after spending 60$ on my mini slash driveshafts that don't work. Now I ordered the traxxas ones so it cost me 120 freaking dollars for driveshafts lol.
Can you please start showing cool stuff I mean seriously man I’m gonna have to get a second and third job. I did however just order a set of the pro build boom racing wheels for my Capra project. Can’t wait to get them in and do a proper review. Really appreciate the review you did on those as well definitely turn my eye to them and made me want to get us it
bossing i just got the trx6... and im lost to say the least this thing is amazeballz! i know it may be old but can i request more trx6 content? Salamat sir!
Hello. First of all, your car is perfect🔥. I'll ask you a few questions. I would be glad if you answer. you have made these upgrades. The weight of the car increased. Are the 21t motor, servo motor, esc and gears sufficient to carry this weight? Did the increase in weight reduce the traction performance of the vehicle?
What about using the trx-4 kit on just the steering and rear axles leaving the mid axel plastic? Descending should be similar and ascending might gain a bit from the lesser weight
Is anyone ever going to make full-metal replacement axles for the Element Enduro models? The closest thing that I can find is plastic with Beeftubes inserts. If anyone can help with this I would be forever grateful as that's the only thing I haven't upgraded yet.
I have the yeah racing axles. I abuse the crap out of them and they have taken everything I have put them thru. Spools in all 3 diffs so the diff lock issue ...isn't an issue....lol.
It seems noisy compared to the plastic axles? Or is it just louder on video? I’m building my trx6 now with a umg body and an axe system. i found them on ebay for $140 , not bad, i may pick these up. I can’t wait to get my 6x6 on the rocks. 👍🏼
@@RCReviewChannel that’s what i was thinking. Right on. And i love how you cut the stock body up,ive been debating that option since I started making my new body fit.
The extra weight (550gr is really much) doesn't stress too much the standard motor ? I think this is an issue on TRX4, even more on TRX6 that is more heavy but default and needs 3 axle change. What's your opinion ?
They are not worth it at all. Don't waste your money. Stock parts are strong enough and a lot cheaper to replace. Also don't forget He cant say the product is not good enough, because next time he will not receive more free stuff from Yeah racing :)
I have the hot Racing ultimate brass set up front and its optional to make it over 400+ grams and that's just the front you can put them on the rear too and they are 68$.

Today is a good day - RC Review uploaded a new video!!!
Not the worst day :)
I've seen these axles advertised but not reviewed, thank for doing what you do.
Yes, not something we needed since our trx6 has so much weight and is lowered. But figured it would help others out.
woof! $190! The axles are already great on the trx6
Quite true

Thanks for sharing. Had another friend with a trx6 with the same experience.

What a beast the TRX-6, nice stuff yeah racing metal axle... Isn't that too much speed for a crawler 😲
Super cool! Thank you for sharing your love.
You are so welcome!

Nice,, review,, I have checked THIS out too, , looking forward to more KILLER stuff 👍👍👍
Like to see some wider options for a trx 4 monster build
the only time the trx6 axles will fill with water is when you learn radio does not travel very far underwater so its stuck 4ft deep while you find a long stick to fish it out
do you know if they resolved the issue with the center axle? i just got a set for my trx6 hauler but havent tried installing them yet.

At the Trx4 link are only 2 back axle housings not front and rear,at least on the picture or i am wrong???
HR makes a set for the capra looks sweet as VP axles i been thinking about giving them a try
HR definitely makes quality products, yeah Racing is iffy.
@@stpbasss3773 i agree if ya loctite everything hr never gives me problems only yr product ive bought was the trx4 bumper and its nm either
I had similar problem with Treal upgrade regarding the middle diff cover... have you managed to solve the problem?

Been looking as well. It would have happened by now if it was gonna happen IMHO.
@@RCReviewChannel would it be very difficult to use Vp currie straight axles or the rock jock axles on my trailwalker?

Seems to be the same. The new camera has a very sensitive mic.

If you mean the titan 550 in the stock trx6, then in the stock truck its almost not strong enough. After these 550grams it will burn up very fast.
Are you using a 3s or 4s battery??? That thing rips, my trx4 doesn’t go that fast on 3s I don’t think 🤔
axe brushless system
3s????
@@AMF619 axe is only capable up to 3S
Surprised no front portal case or rear covers
A good video, well filmed,😀
Thank you very much! New camera :)
Trx6 still the king...
Have you tried the hh magnum motors?
No. We'll try em.
You should have tried the grc g2 axles
You have a link?
I’m somewhat near the first!
Good enough for a podium spot!
Are they really worth the money as far as performance?
They are not worth it at all. Don't waste your money. Stock parts are strong enough and a lot cheaper to replace. Also don't forget He cant say the product is not good enough, because next time he will not receive more free stuff from Yeah racing :)
Yeah, but they look so damn cool though :)
The main advantage seems to be extra weight but couldn't this be achieved another way and for way less than $190?!
Weight and strength, yes. Hard to put 550 grams of weight this low. Brass is a good option since it's so dense. But it's typically very expensive.
I have the hot Racing ultimate brass set up front and its optional to make it over 400+ grams and that's just the front you can put them on the rear too and they are 68$.
They aren't bad but do use stock upper & lower link mounts and pan hard bar mounts. Weak point.
How much ?? WTF ?
Not worthy!!!
Most of yeah racing products got serious issues in my experiences...
My Axail 6x6 can turn inside my wife's Gen 7.
Why is it so dang noisy it's way noisier than it should be.
Very nice! My new Capra has metal axles, loving the low CG compared to my Gen8 Axe loaded up with scale gear.
What is the electric screwdriver you use? Does it have adjustable speed/torque?
Here. No torque/speed adjustments. It's meant to be a starter and then do the final torque manually.
