It takes practice and skill to shoot a mech marker consistently fast. See the guy at about 1:35 who is set up left handed but fanning with his right hand, then he needs to reload but it's all weird because he can't shoot fast left handed? He can probably shoot a mech fine right handed. Left handed he needs practice.
@@pocono_paintballdoes it? I guess I’m just old school and don’t see how the trigger skill is really a big deal. Only thing was learning not to short stroke. I still play sometimes with my minimag but I prefer my xball gun.
I just bought one from lone wolf paintball website like 2 weeks ago for my 30th birthday always wanted to play just never did so I finally pulled the trigger googled for places in my area called to verify they accepted walk ons abd played for 6 hours straight last weekend. Was an absolute blast and can’t wait to play tomorrow!
For under $50 get a used tippmann gryphon, for under $100 get a used gog enmey (ideally a newer generation one if you can), for under $250 get a Nova N4 Odin (I think these are only available online from their website), for $400 get a etha 3m (most paintball retailers will have these, mose shops could order one in). If you have a local paintball shop, use them as much as you can even if they're a bit more expensive. Paintball can only grow at a local level and the more financial incentive field owners/shops have to grow the more they'll be willing to invest and take risks to grow the sport.

The problem is that it generally costs $50-100 per day to play even if you already own a gun (definitely on the higher end of that for tournament paintball). So if you can't afford a gun your definitely not going to be able to afford paint/air to play at any sort of a regular basis. I recommend getting a job, and then starting with pump or magfed so you aren't going through as much paint.
