Love the Archspire pfp. Archspire's Oli rae aleron, and Tom Barber are two of my favorite metal vocalists of all time. Archspire is my favorite band. Relentless Mutation and Bleed The Future are masterpieces.

I love how he kind of switches from a shouty/airy tone to a more classic gurgly tone and he also makes great choices on when to scream. He switches the beats where he screams here and there, creating some syncopation, really interesting!

Hello Mark, have you heard that in studio recording a month or two ago from Darko? Where they do 3 quick songs? My month would be made if you could review the vocals on that one. Even if it's just your thoughts as a quick response and not a video, I'm always fascinated by your analysis and Tom Barber is imo the best right now
The airflow thing I learned early on I wasn’t gonna one take a single song good and make it sound controlled and nice but since I have I’m 6 months in a the good control has even helped me with switching between different screams becuase they require different amounts of air depending on what I’m doing

Should come check out my highs? No I don't 100 percent agree with this as there are some amazing vocalists on tiktok. but I've been told on several occasions that I have some of the best and more unique highs on tiktok. I'm self taught alot like Tom Barber here by trying to imitate Trevor. And I've been doing vocals for 20 years now. Unfortunately right now i only have covers atm but I am working on some original stuff. I do have an original out but I'd rather stay away from that and the guy that produced it make some odd choices with my vocal takes that its definitely not me at my best.

He's versatile, but he really only has one tone I really like. Which is his lowest tone.
I really don't like his highs. They sound very dry, loose and not particularly distorted. Like if his highs were an amplifier the gain knob would be at like 3.5 which yeah it's gritty but not very distorted.
