Great! The Axon Midi Converter is now wireless. In combo of a normal guitar wireless system, its all purely mobile. Great! The Triple Play is on my shopping list for sure.

Just so ya know.....other than the wireless aspect, this technology has been around for about 30 years now. And here's food for thought, I had a band that toured in the mid 80's with 3 Roland Gr-700 Guitar synths. The audiences and FOH soundmen always thought we were playing to prerecorded backing tracks! They just couldn't wrap thier heads around the fact that ALL the sounds they were hearing were coming LIVE from 3 guitars! Very frustrating. Still I'm looking forward to trying this system out.
I have this on an Agile LP and it's awesome. Comes with a DAW and can work with others. It can be a MIDI controller on top of it all. I'm going through a Focusrite 6i6 with KRK monitors. He has another demo vid worth watching too. Jenifer Battens Rig Rundown shows it off as well. They now have a foot controller that takes the place of the PC. Love it. Also uses whatever sound card your PC has, but a audio interface would be better. Set to 2 ms and it flies - no latency. Depending on the instrument, bends are nice and smooth.

I don't do any live playing. Mostly home recording stuff. The system comes with a boatload of stuff like Studio One or Garage Band. Then it has a lot of useful support materials. It's easy to just get lost and play with it for hours and get nothing useful done.

One at every booth and then each interviewer has to put their mic into the mic stand and awkwardly share it with whoever they are interviewing? This classic on-site reporting deal is much more appropriate and efficient.
Check out the Tom Quale Guitar Interactive review. He goes over bend response. You can set it in the software. He says it's by far the best tracking unit on the market.

I'll probably add one to my toolbox, but for what I do, which is covering a variety of guitar, dobro, banjo and pedals steel parts, the VG-99 can't be beat. I have a a selection of GR synths and I'll admit the tracking isn't perfect. Whar DOES appeal to me about this is having access to a collection of soft synths.

What is if i want to mix the original guitar signal whith the synth signal? Need a cable and a mixer - thats shitty. Still can use my Axon if i need a cable for the guitar signal.
There's a jack in the guitar unit that wraps around and plugs into the guitar jack. The guitar unit has a "blend" switch that mixes the signal between midi and guitar. The software will mix and blend the sound to add swell to the regular signal on some patches - very very cool. Surprised that wasn't shown.
Received my FTP a couple days ago. Sending it back. I believe it's defective - can't get a midi signal out of the high E string - doesn't show up on any of the meters. The rest wasn't so great either. Using a MAC OS X 10.8 with Logic. I'm hoping it's just a defective unit as I really want this to work. Anyone out there with similar rig having this issue?
Since it's wireless to that USB stick, I can assure you it's not using conventional MIDI. MIDI has always been dog xhxx slow and I suspect that's how they're getting such good speed.

This isn't anything ground breaking. I'm an avid roland synth guitar player. With a laptop, Ableton live and roland pickup you can do all this and more.
The guy totally kicks ass at playing and the chick is all bored. Her are's all tired from holding the mic, but the funny think is they didn't even use her mic track except for when she was talking.
watch the burr 2007 videos for axon.........when hired to demo he's great at selling most any system, but he seemed sincerely impressed with the ax 100 or ax 50 which clearly had way better tech. and tracking. big step backwards in 5 years to the fishman !
